Their love story is very beautiful. Carla has a pure love for Hanna, the looks, the complicity between them are so real. A horror that the author made this ending so sad. Carla's other stories don't surpass this one with Hanna. Carla and Hanna forever.

The letter is the only reason why the whole "Hanna knew she was dying" storyline wasn't terrible, like so much of me would have liked them to have the end where they were just happy even if they always planned on killing her off. but like that letter makes up for so much.

fuck, they really could have had it all. carla would have come out, they'd gotten married (or whatever was closest to that in germany in the mid 00s) and had a couple of kids (THAT WERE NOT LARS' cuz that was just fucked up)

Maybe its just me but towards the end of their story.. some emotional moments felt like they were not the character but the ladies.. I could be totally wrong.. but there was something different towards the end of their story.
Also I feel like carla is more like her father she is a people person, she does not have a great track record when it comes to love.. father and daughter have 1 true love who both pass and affect /shape them into the people that we see on screen.
