I don't understand the "thief" reference at 3:02. Are you implying that John Williams stole from Ravel, or did Ravel plagiarize someone else's music?

It's not meant in a serious way. The motif from John Williams' score is conspiciously similar, but it's just as basic of a motif that we can for sure assume that the similarity is mere coincidence.
