    I would be all-in on this brand if they weren't 9.5" radius necks across the S-style range - vintage okay, but this looks like a Charvel DK24 which is 12-16 compound and suits the more modern build. Anyway, will keep an eye on their progress!

    Man, this is a good alternative to the Harley Benton Fusion III, also not having to ship from Thomann, all the way to Sarawak. Been trying to look for a decent HSS 24 frets guitar, and there are not many options to go with. Am a little concerned with the rounder 9.5 inch/241mm fretboard radius, since I've never owned a Fender. (Been playing my RG for 3 years straight now)
    Tried the Ibanez AZ before and loved how the neck feels, but fuiyoh, those are too expensive for me. Closest alternative to the AZ is the Ibanez Q54 Headless (which I really want to get), and they have quite similar neck profile and thickness to the AZ.
    But the Ibanez Q54 still costs around 3 times the price of the Soloking. Pening kelapa, not sure if I should keep saving up for the headless guitar or just get the Soloking and hope for the best. Since they're not too expensive. 😂

      I think they are quite affordable enough that you could buy both the Soloking and headless eventually haha. But I’d say it’s a lot of guitar for the money this Soloking… it’s crazy how factories can put out guitars at this price and at this quality

      I had an AZ and the 10 inch radius was okay, but could not get the action as low as I wanted due to that radius. Rather get something with minimum 12" radius

      @@BloodBoughtMinistries Yeah, that's my biggest worry when it comes to Soloking's guitar, was hoping they would provide 12" fretboard on their lineups, but it looks like all of them has 9.5" radius fretboard.

    I'm planning to buy harley benton fusion-iii hss roasted db but when I saw guitars from soloking, i feel like they are almost the same.. So can you recommend me like whether should I be going for the Harley beton or Soloking? But if Harley Benton , I'll be having to wait all the way from Germany to Malaysia while it's more expensive and have to wait longer on the other hand, soloking is a bit cheaper, so I couldn't decide, can you help me? Plz tq

      @LKWong  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I’ve no experience with playing a Harley Benton before so I can’t really comment on how good it is. But I think the Soloking is a lot of guitar for the money. If you are in KL, you can give it a try at the store itself first

    Could i ask you what is your impression of the guitar? Is it a good guitar? Build quality? Playability? Sorry for the questions, i am from the USA so i just want to make sure it is worth the 180$ shipping cost....thank you.

    • @LKWong
      @LKWong  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, personally I feel it’s quite bang for the buck. I can’t really complain much apart from the slightly messy paint job in the pickup cavities if considering the asking price. But $180 shipping cost is quite a lot money to the USA I might say… I suppose I addressed all my points in the video. Just give it a nice setup and I think the guitar will play like butter

      Yeah it’s actually slightly under RM1.5k the last I know! Definitely a good one for entry level player … and for intermediate players who aren’t too brand conscious
