I have been remiss in watching TH-cam and just found this posting. Glad to hear the hole is fixed, the shrubs are trimmed etc. I have been cooking, shopping, cleaning and overall been enlisted in getting the house ready for the holidays. The pen is beautiful. I know the trend has been for more elaborate resin, but this resin is very nice. One day I will have to get a Conway Stewart pen.
I am sorry for your eye, and hope it will get better soonest. I like this pen (I have got one already) but it is not comparable to your wonderful Drake! Thank you and regards!
Nice pen. Should have put a bookcase in front of the hole. The hedge clippings will blow away eventually. The pretty girl thanked me for the Pilot Metropolitan today and told me her name, Elizabeth. How nice.
Ah, well, I would have put a book case there - but it was on the staircase, and I don't think the books would have stayed in place. Actually, my stairs are quite narrow, and bookshelves would have made negotiating them more than a little difficult!
Yes congrats on the new publishing deal Mike 👍🏻 Sounds like some good writing times ahead! The Conway Stewart looks a nice one and another good mix of resin. I was also checking out the Detection Club pen as well after you mentioned it before. Take it easy and sell loads of books 😄👍🏻 🍵
The Detection Club is about the same size, but a better weight (for my money) because it's got a brass insert in the barrel. I do love this Marlborough, though. Really good appearance, and I really like the silver details. Flip a coin time?!
These guys are being excellent, and working at a hall of a rate. They turned up with all the relevant items they needed, and haven't stopped. Which is great ... but rather distracting when trying to write a book!
Hi Michael. Hoping your eye improves. The two best days in a construction project are the day you start, and the day it is finally finished! Good luck! Beautiful fountain pen! I do prefer the look and warmth of silver/sterling silver over gold. I am curious what differences-if any-that you noticed between the Marlborough Exmoor versus the Winston Exmoor/Dartmoor in hand (not posted)? I’m eyeing a Marlborough and Winston and I do appreciate the Exmoor with silver trim. Hoping you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!
Hi, there. I love the Winston, but the two are very different in terms of weight and balance. The Winston is a big, heavy pen; the Marlborough is much lighter, and considerably smaller. The W's weight is partly due to a brass filler in the barrel, which gives it that mass. The Marlborough, for me, is the ideal pen for daily pocket carry. Fits in a shirt pocket or jacket with ease, whereas the Winston doesn't really fit a shirt. It would have to be in a pen bag or jacket pocket - or kept at home on the desk. Both lovely writers, but it depends on the sort of weight you like when writing!
Yes indeed - it's the spotty dog who died some years ago. Not, I hasten to add, because of the RIdgie playing a bit too roughly! Cancer, sadly. But she was 13, which is a good age for a dog her size. A real sweetheart, though.

Cheers, Paul - keep well, and hope you have a great Christmas!
@writerlywitterings the same to you and your family.

Much better today, thanks, Raoul. I do love the Marlborough - but I'm keeping my Drake!
I like silver over gold also. Nice video thanks
Thanks for watching!

Some carpenters or workers, due to several tasks/jobs, rush here and there waiting for supplies. You are at their mercy.

Who painted the little watercolour, also that's a good looking pen.
The one behind my head? I dabble with watercolours a fair bit when I have the time.

@ Thanks for your input! I have my new Detection Club and it writes perfectly! Good choice! Think I will be looking into the Marlborough Exmoor, too.
Do you still have the Bermise Mountain Dog?
