aaah this is so cute 😭😭😭 i wished they'd included more things and i totally agree that a mini series truly would have been wonderful, but it was definitely worth the wait!
The majority of the soundtrack is decent, but this one would stand out as truly memorable. Music has a way of transporting us through time, so whenever I would hear this song, it would instantly brings back memories of the RWRB.

Firstly, HUGE HUGE HUGE props to Casey for writing this amazing novel and secondly, thankfully the movie creators didn’t fck this movie up. Like I was insanely happy that they actually kept with the book and didn’t completely change everything. The number of times I’ve seen movies “based off” the book, they either do a half-good job or they completely fck it up. I saw edits on my fyp as I was reading the book and honestly it’s exactly how I’d pictured Alex and Henry. I watched the movie and that movie made me laugh, cry, and feel so much love for these two characters it’s insane. This movie has absolutely set the bar for all movies to come in the future and hopefully this’ll always stay at the top

about the book: 1:36 the film makes it sound as if Alex usually dates/hooks up with women. there is a scene 34mins into the film where he tells the VP's grand-daughter he has had two encounters with boys before - once in high-school and later with a reporter. he says he 'could wrap his head around being low-level into guys' but the concept seems utterly foreign to him up to this point. on the other hand, this grand-daughter character states her job is to analyse data and given that the prince never once checked her out, that makes him 'like the first 50 rows of a Gaga concert kinda gay'. this very different approach to calling someone 'gay' notwithstanding, does the book try to sell us Alex as 90% straight too up until he mets Henry? does nobody find this strange? or unbelievable?
