    It’s amazing how hyper Grace believers see scriptures as corporate when it helps their position, and individual when it doesn’t. The text is clear when plainly read. The messages to the other Churches in Revelations further support a plain reading. How do you RETURN to a first love that you never had?

    My wife and I are seventh day Adventist. I didn’t know what seventh day Adventist was but she introduced me to it and it seemed and still seems to make more sense than most denominations. However my wife says that because I am struggling to stay in Gods word and to focus on God she said Jesus will spit me out unless I focus on Him more. She says I’m being lukewarm even tho I have turned from weed, turned from porn, turned from masturbation, turned from cussing, etc all with Gods help. I know I am a sinner. I am not saying because I turned from those things I am not. But what I am saying is I am not intentionally sinning or anything but it’s just been a struggle to keep in Gods word because I’ve been providing for my wife and I with my business being so busy, I cook for us since she’s not a fan of cooking, I take her on fun dates all the time, we spend alone time together, etc, we even do our nightly devotions together and we pray together and go to church sometimes two to three times a week depending. She seems to be trying to scare me with are you really going to Heaven? Do you know you’re going? Any advice or input?

      Your wife believes in salvation through faith and by the grace of God, which is the only biblical truth. We are saved through faith in jesus out it there is no salvation, yes there is no salvation where there is no faith and where there is no faith grace does not exist because faith and grace are what yields salvation [ephesians 2:8]
      And last faith is only and can only prove its existence by the works (our deed i.e the way we talk, what we consume, what we do and what we do not do) [James 2:17] faith without works is dead!!!
      Then coming to what the presenter said in the video, everything he explained is biblically correct and help except for spit out part the word spit you out can also be replaced by the word vomit you out and logically we only vomit or spit out that which is undesirable and lukewarm Christians are undesirable in God's mouth hence He beseech us to change or else he will spit us out of his mouth and when God mouths (announces) the names of those who are his our names will be missing; [revelation 3:5]
      Note: struggling with sin is fine be pray to God to help u over come [Philippines 4:13 I can do ALL things through christ who strengthens me] but DON'T embrace sin😅😅 "God only helps those who help them these"
      CAUTION FROM PAUL: study (the sacrifices ) to show theysalf approved unto God [2 TIMOTHY 2:15] to avoid shame on the day of judgement [Matthews 7:21-23]
      I'm looking forward to meet u in heaven, among those God will say "Here is the patience of the saints, here are thy that keep the commandments of God and the faith of jesus christ " Revelation 14:12

      @Musukuvick you are back loading works into salvation which is misreading scripture. You are saved through grace by faith alone, your works will not save you. Its the work of christ Jesus on the cross. You did nothing to earn it and you can't lose it if you do the will of the father. The will of the father is to believe on his son, Jesus christ. Ask yourself, do you believe in Jesus christ and his works to save you, or do you believe in your own works to maintain your salvation. The fruit I produce in the spirit is so that God can be glorified, nothing to do with me and my. I glory in the fact that Jesus Christ is my saviour, my salvation is on him alone. If 1% was on me, I would be going to hell.
      I know Im Going to heaven because I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, I believe through Faith by the grace of God. Not because I do good works, I do good works because I can, not because I must. Free yourself from bondage, Jesus paid the price, you are washed in his blood, accept the good news of the gospel and release yourself from bondage.

    He must not be lukewarm (come to school and yet not willing to learn). In this case, i'll spew him out of my class.
    It's much better if he is out in the ( cold). Outside of the classroom if he doesn't want to learn. This is true since in this case, i can still invite to come to my class and learn.

    Just curious what about backsliders ?
    What if we backsliding becomes falling away from the faith? And falling away from the faith means farther away from God. Does that still mean eternal salvation ?

    • @josephferland8798

      If we fall away from the faith we were never saved to begin with, because when we are born again we are sealed with the holy spirit. The born again christian may take a backslide through a lapse in judgement leading to sin, or a temporary faith crisis.. but since the seed of God abides in them, they will not continue to disregard christ and his promises and they will embrace him and trust in him for salvation. As well as be led through the holy spirit in repentance. Often our hearts grow hardened when we ignore the holy spirit but that is why God brings correction through his Word, resulting in godly sorrow, a deep disturbance in your spirit understanding you have offended god. Remember once your in christ you cannot lose your salvation.

    It kind of confuses me though because arent we under grace therefore God does not punish us for the sins we did because Jesus took the punishment. And isnt the wages of sin death? Not punishment? Weren't the Isrealities under the law where if they did bad God would not bless them? But we are under grace now? Though we still face consequences because sin naturally has consequences but it's not something directly inflicted by God. Please explain.

    • @katej392
      @katej392 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Punishment might be a word that doesnt fit in this context. It is simply so that we can "fall out of grace", meaning that we become preoccupied with the world around us and don't preserve the grace that has been given to us. Because when we receive grace our response shouldn't be to continue as if nothing had happened. The involuntary response of someone who receives Gods grace is to become more like him. But God doesn't force us to stay in fellowship with Him, we can leave if we wish, and sometimes we let our desires take hold of us, and lead us astray. God can then use circumstance to bring us back to him, such as hardships etc. And as Daniel said, He doesnt use us in the same way as He used to when we were close to him, when we were warm, and that in and of it self can make us think "But why isnt my life more changed? Why isn't God working more through me?" Maybe you can even compare yourself to who you used to be before, and that your life before looked more like the life of Jesus. And these questions can bring you back to the Lord, back to seeking his face and realize you had forgotten your friend. And that is when repentence comes in. God can use our circumstances to bring us closer to him, and thats what I think Daniel ment in the video, not simply punishment for unrighteusness, because that punishment was taken by Jesus. This is simply my thoughts, please feel free to correct me.

    I've been around a lukewarm people before, and when I am around the people, I think of the passage in Revelations talking about lukewarm Christians. I can understand how God feels when he says in ‭‭Revelation 3:15-16:
    [15] I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. [16] So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.

    Wow, that is very insightful. I don't believe in once saved always saved, not sure if that's even what you were saying at the end, but the rest of your explanation makes a lot of sense. They would have likely understood the message because of the example given, that Jesus considered them useful neither for washing or drinking. Like they were familiar with the gospel message, but not putting it into practice and so not living as an example to others. Like they were not focused on either loving those around them, or living a life devoted to God.

      In love I am going to bring truth you have likely never considered or understood. Let’s start with John 10:28-29 (KJV) 28 “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” If you don’t believe in osas then you don’t believe Jesus. He instituted osas. It is a teaching that comes from HIM. Notice too: John 6:37 (KJV) “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” He did not say “all who come to me and sin no more I won’t cast out, He said, ALL WHO COME TO HIM period. Notice what Paul said: Ephesians 4:30 (KJV) “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Unto the day of redemption, not until the day you sin, it says the day of redemption. Also: Jude 1:24 (KJV) “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,”. Who keeps us from falling away? Jesus does. Is He able to do that or is He a weak god? You have to understand that those who come against osas go against the teaching of scripture and focus on THEIR works, THEIR obedience, THEIR fill in the blank, instead of a full trust in the finished work of Christ and His ability to keep those who come to Him. Those who come against osas actually follow a faith plus works gospel that cannot save.. Our works do not justify (Rom 5:8-10; Titus 3:5; Eph; 2:8-9); you cannot work to earn your salvation and you cannot work to keep it. Its not about us, never has been. Salvation is a gift freely given by God by grace through faith…..never works. And if its a gift it doesn’t get taken away when we fall. And we WILL fall because we still inhabit bodies with an intact sin nature. Paul lamented this in Romans 7. Are we supposed to be obedient and abiding in Christ doing good stuff - yes - but it never justifies. What it does do is demonstrate love, devotion, and service by which we will either receive or lose rewards at the bema seat of Christ. If you are trusting in all that good stuff to keep you saved - you are not saved at all - you are still trusting in your own works. My prayer is for you to fully trust in Christ ALONE today and rest in HIM. Hebrews 4.

      @@shereewolfe5337 I'm not a Calvinist, as I believe freewill is the ultimate gift from God. God's promise is that other people cannot take us from his hand, but that doesn't mean we cannot by our own freewill leave God. This is what makes OSAS a false teaching. As for trusting in the saving power of Jesus, amen.

    • @shereewolfe5337
      @shereewolfe5337 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevenchristy6156 No offense but that is not what Jesus said in John 10:28-29. Verse 28, He said ouk…tis in the Greek, is able to pluck us from His hand, and that includes ourselves. Because ouk is absolute negative, tis is any one, any person, any individual, etc. NO ONE, NOT ANY PERSON is what the greek says. That includes any one of us, even you. Verse 29 oudeis dunatai, negative NO plus dunatai from dunamai has the power or ability. Dunatai has the definition “even by virtue of one’s own ability”. No power or ability to snatch from His hands. Therefore according to the Greek grammar we cannot pluck ourselves out either. If we could, then we are greater than God and Jesus cannot keep anybody from falling. And nobody will ever be saved because our own freewill will never be perfect sinlessness or obedience and we would always choose to fall James 2:10. That is the false teaching you believe that Paul calls anathema in Galatians 1:9-10. Its a false gospel of faith plus works. I stand by what I said. To be against osas is to diminish the very power and sovereignty of God (and no I am not a Calvinist, just a biblicist), and to think you can fall away through your own freewill or works or lack thereof is to completely trust in self…..not Christ. I am still praying for you.

    • @stevenchristy6156
      @stevenchristy6156 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shereewolfe5337 No it doesn't include ourselves. If you don't believe in free will though why argue? Without free will all is moot. No one would have any ability to make any meaningful decision. Everything becomes predetermination without choice and even debating a person is without meaning since without free will we are not able to choose what we believe.

    • @shereewolfe5337
      @shereewolfe5337 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevenchristy6156 I happen to believe in free will. My free will however does not trump God’s saving power, those who come to Him THROUGH THEIR FREE WILL He KEEPS. You think through your skewed interpretation of free will that your free will allows you to keep yourself, which is nothing less than a works based false gospel. And your interpretation does not fit the text of John 10:28-29. What you are doing is distorting the grammar, inserting your own presumption into the text. That is dangerous ground, its called wresting the scriptures. I am arguing because I am defending the faith against false teaching. You think osas is false. I am convinced through God’s Word and His Spirit that it is those who come against osas are the ones who are false. So we have to agree to disagree here. You want to trust in yourself, your own will, your own works, your own obedience. Tell me how do you know you’ve done enough, prayed enough, served enough, been obedient enough to keep yourself? 10%, 80%? What’s the qualifier? If I read James 2:10 the qualifier is 100% perfection. If I ask one of your close family members how well you are doing, am I going to hear 100% sinless? Probably not. So, I am going to place my trust where God tells me to…..in Christ ALONE through His blood ALONE. Rom 5:8-10; Titus 3:5. And since its HIS blood I know I am eternally secure because HE paid it all, not me. And I will continue to defend osas because Jesus taught it. His teaching trumps yours. Sorry.

    Have you ever played a game with kids, and they say, "You are warm, now your cold, warmer, warmer, hot?"
    Hot is walking after the Spirit and cold is walking after the flesh and lukewarm is resting in the law yet transgressing the law.
    Such as in 1 Corinthians 5, when a man was fornicating with his father's wife in the church. If a brother is a fornicator do not eat with, fellowship.
    Now, because they did not mourn for the transgresser and either restore him or cast him out of the church for the destruction of his flesh then he will be like the false Prophets calling Lord Lord, have we not done many works in your name? Jesus on that day will say "Go away from me I never knew you, you worker if iniquity."
    Because you did not mourn for him he lives lukewarm while resting in the law,, not worshipping God in Spirit and in TRUTH. The truth that no fornicator will inherit the Kingdom.
    You my friend, are lukewarm, not discerning the spiritual matters. I pray pray you repent!

    the reference to neither cold nor hot....and spewing from his mouth...
    this scares alot of christians, but I dont think it has to. I would say most here are either hot or cold. hot being those who believe who are inspired to do lots of works for the lord...missionaries, street preachers etc etc......cold are those who believe but they are those who consider their faith sufficient. We are saved by faith alone......the lukewarm would be more offensive because they are like agnostics...open to believing without actually believing in Jesus..maybe go to church to placate a family member. If you find yourself here...I doubt you are them.
