Mid 90s early 2000, it was the bomb but I think myself personally, the newer bottles don't seem to perform as good as the earlier ones. I don't get the same long last performance anymore, maybe about 3-4 hours if I'm lucky
I’m not a big fragrance guy. However I love this. Fresh, clean and last all day. Whenever I smell it off my skin/clothes throughout the day it makes me feel good.
As someone who spent a lot of time in Japan in the 90s this scent is very nostalgic for me. You would smell this type of scent everywhere - in hotels, taxis, onsen, bath products etc. I think really traditional American dudes will find it too floral and feminine, but coming from a Japanese perspective I find it to be arty, light, and cool, and if you’re confident in your sexuality you can pull this off
In the 90’s in Houston, it was everywhere. The scent drew compliments. Unfortunately, people felt the more they sprayed, the more compliments they would get. It’s time for a resurgence.
Scents have genral trends. Historically fragrances were created as aromatic lavender scents. In 60s men’s fragrances started becoming more sythetic and sensual, in 70s the trends were barber shoppy fugere, in 80s less masculine but sweeter and floral, in 90s citrus/marine and so on… Nowadays the trends move even faster. maybe every 2 or 3 years.
If fragrances don't go outdated then why is there an entire scent profile that goes by "old man scent" Smell Calkin Klein obsession and tell me scents don't get outdated.
Funniest part is that issey miyaki vintage clothing is coveted because of the y2k/90’s style craze that has been booming for a while. This frag is right on time 😂
Hi Chad. Bought a big bottle today of the fragrance. It’s my second, first time was like 10 years ago or so I kind of kissed it… I still believe women love it 😊
My daily driver since 2001. I actually sometimes combine this with Lacoste blanc, where i use the lacoste as kind of a lower layer scent and the Issey Miyake basically tops it off.
Good review, I was surprised :) It was stronger when it came out, but that is the case with every reformulation in every brand...You got a new subscriber ! Greetings from Belgium
This is in my opinion in my top five favourites!! Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Eau de Toilette Dior sauvage edt. Creed aventus. Bleu de Chanel edt Spice bomb edt.
Great citrus floral juice. One of the cleanest and freshest scents out there. I agree… It is a bit better than Aqua D’Gio with a very sharp citrus opening. Nothing outdated about this stuff.
Yeah, Yuzu was definitely overpowering in this one. Not your average freshie when thinking of frags like Dylan blue or Lacoste 12.12 type Spring/Summer scents… Opening-mid can be challenging, but once it calms down and the sharpness of the Yuzu settles, it’s really quite nice.
Don't know why it would be considered dated or for those over a certain age. I was wearing this fragrance when I was 16 when everyone was wearing Diesel Masculine, David Beckhams and Lynx. Though I suppose I had a different outlook to things as a teen male, as I wore my fragrances based on season, time of day and event I was attending (date night, luncheon, job interview, etc..)
Mostly because younger audiences will gravitate to whats popular or hyped. Modern is synthetic and very sweet and this is not that. I still think its great though!
This is fantastic I used it today before college, I got home for college and went for a walk and then I got home went for a shower and Yh it lasted and I still could smell it on my hand WOW
This is very lush! My wife bought me it a couple years ago and might buy another one for our upcoming trip to Spain …will be a nice summer evening one I think

I appreciate the value your content provides-your review convinced me to pull the trigger on Rasasi Hawas and it's currently on its way.
@@ChadSecrets So, Hawas arrived yesterday and I tried it out. It's really great-I appreciate the recommendation, this scent performs and lives up to the hype. On a semi-unrelated note, I don't know if you like layering fragrances or not but I layered Hawas with L'eau d'Issey (given that they're both fresh fragrances, and, why not? It's worth a try) and it gave me an amazing result; it feels like L'eau d'Issey made Hawas stronger and the scent is phenomenal.
This is a nice scent. Clean, citrus, aquatic, floral, with a ting of woods. That being said I didn't like the yuzu note and it was too boring and unisex smelling for me Just plain bland and uninspiring so I passed along my bottle a few years back.

I had a tester vial first. That's what drew me to get my 2012 batch bottle (in 2022), all good. A year passes, I get a new box before the old one ran empty figuring my signature was still everything it was. Going out like any other day, without missing a beat from the day prior, spray the new one on, red alert. The opening far too dirty citrus, making me wonder if I was duped. So bad, perhaps due to the relativity of my mind to what this thing is supposed to be, I try to wash it off. I thereafter went around the mall; macys & bloomingdale specifically had it, and found nothing but this new scent I don't like... in the exact same L'eau D'issey bottles. It baffles me. If the scent was discontinued, okay, that makes sense, but it seems to be going strong with the same name. Even more confusing, the world doesn't seem to notice. I managed to get my hands on another 2012 batch bottle, but it smells dead, like the atomizer of my old 2012, so I assume it's gone bad. I also found a 2013 batch, but it smells like the same dirty orange reformulation, so I figure this frag may have kicked the bucket.
@lonetraveler3480 very interesting. I didn't have the same experience when I smelt an older bottle, but then again everyone is different. It's an important thing to note though, so thank you for sharing!

@@ChadSecrets thank you man , i gonna try those
i've gotten so much trim off this sc3nt, im tired now. i feel drained.
Mix this with any oud fragrance you have, thank me later.
Thats a very good idea
Then what?
@ChadSecrets it's a killer with Mancera Aoud Lemon. I mix them in a mini atomizer and use that now. I also mix aventus with oud oils in an atomizer as well. Got 8 compliments at the office for that one.
