  • Coca-Cola in Europe is ready to take its #paperbottle prototype to the market. In just a few months, consumers can enjoy the first ever drink from The Coca-Cola Company from a paper bottle when our plant-based drink, #AdeZ, will be tested in the market. #AdeZPaperBottle

Existing coca cola PET plastic bottles are 100 percent recycle able . There are 100 thousands PET bottle crushing and washing plants .Need of time is to making infrastructure to send PET bottles to recycle plants more effectively . Changing material of bottle will create more trash because existing recycling factories will close and new factories to recycle this product will take long time to keep pace with sale of these bottles. PSF polyester staple fiber is made from current coca cola PET bottle

Glas most likely takes way more energy to melt down even if (unless you implement ac a recycling system that keeps the bottles intact and people need to return them to the store).
The biggest argument against glas is that it's much heavier and has larger carbon footprint in transport.
Unfortunately it's not all that black and white...

How about just put pant on your bottles and call it a day. In Europe it's widely used that there's a deposit of €30 cents on a bottle that you get back once you recycle it at the store. Coca-Cola spends billions each year lobbying against this existing, extremely effective solution.

@@vexx5955 you obviously have no clue about plastic. I have a master's degree in chemical engineering and my thesis was based on biofuel alternatives to crude oil.
Plastic are derived from oils which are non-renewable as they take millions of years to form. Trees do not take millions of years to regrow. Plastics are also very difficult to recycle - a lot of energy is needed for it and not all types of plastic can even be recycled in the first place. Paper is much easier to recycle. Paper does not lead to landfills filling up the same way that plastics do as paper is biodegradable. Landfills are a massive problem. Sure it can lead to deforestation but trees can also be sourced sustainably.

Almost fifty years ago you put out a commercial. It spoke of bringing unity and harmony to the world. That you as a company felt that was your goal and your mission. In forcing your employees to do race theory training you destroyed nearly 100 years of branding as a wholesome honest company. I think what kills is I really always thought that's what you were. I honestly can't describe the absolute loss of faith in you and any branding you do going forward. And as every day that goes by without you coming forward to explain how this happened it looks more and more like you knew the training was there and what it said. I want peace and harmony in this world. But I honestly think you've left that behind you. You don't represent what you were once. Coke doesn't make me smile any more. It makes me angry. And if you wanted harmony why am I angry.
