Wow jeez what an insanely satisfying rigged run as Tainted Isaac, Polyphemus, Brimstone, Cricket's Head, Ipecac, Infestation 2, Magic Mushroom, Cricket's Body, Almond Milk, Glitched Crown, Inner Eye, Host Hat, Parasite. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth was great, Afterbirth was cool Afterbirth+ was like, eh, it's okay, and then Repentance came and was like BAM this is the best DLC EVER. The best mods like Q4 Isaac dance and banger songs like Innocence Glitched and Machine in the walls (my personal favorite) BIG C Section Brimstone Tech X fetuses' with ghost pepper synergies have so much potential. Add Soy Milk and Rock Bottom for a free win. Those items would be so OP together. The greatest synergy of all time. First floor is Ultra Hard, boss rush can be hard to get to. Good thing mom's knife didn't show up because that wouldn't have been fun. Even though I would of liked that item. I also like, Death Certificate, Damocles, Crickets Head, Rock bottom, Magic Mushroom and Godhead. Psy Fly, Revelation, Twisted Pair, D6 or Spindown Dice would be a cool synergy to have. Edmund Mcmillen created Super Meat Boy and I think he is a angel room enjoyer. Though Devil rooms can be Isaac Pog too, sometimes its a missed rare opportunity 0.1%. Sometimes when I get C section or Glitched Crown I laugh at my free win. Polyphemus Crickets Body Proptosis soy milk Sacred Heart + Holy Light and +10 Luck from perfection is my favorite combo. When I get dead eye incubus R key Red key mega mush spirit sword and brimstone with ipecac it feels like a won run especially with monstros lung and tech X. I love playing the lost and tainted lost, and rerolling is always fun. I also love planetarium items. The Binding of Isaac Repentance is a pretty hard game but I enjoy it, I remember How to unlock the Lost, and it sucks because its RNG. Fighting Hush Delirium Mega Satan The Beast and Mother are all fun. I love synergies and bad items. This is 1,000,000% swear on dead gods name that this description isn't only for keywords. @@thelegitidiot9391 he has to press forget me now just before he picks up the active item he wants to take with him. in this case he put spindown dice on the pedestal and use forget me now but bro was I guess confused or sumn cuz he put down the forget me now and tried to use spindown dice instead lmao.

I remember proposing an idea for an item like this a while back. "Supernova" would be the Planetarium equivalent of Goat Head/Eucharist, guaranteeing Planetariums once picked up. Could also have something in the vein of Duality (off the top of my head- "Solar Eclipse") that gives the option of Treasure Rooms OR Planetariums, but not both. Could also have a trinket in the vein of Dark Prince's Crown ("Meteorite," or something) that turns Treasure Rooms into Planetariums when held but can be dropped if one desires.
I feel like so much more could be done with the Planetarium mechanic than just "skip item rooms to _maybe_ get items that MIGHT be good."

I think making them 100% is too strong, especially if you also get a treasure room. That's 2 free items per floor if you get it. Maybe it raises it to a 25% chance of getting a Planetarium and you get a key drop if it doesn't work. Then you can play around either keeping the key for the Planetarium on the next floor or use the key on the treasure room now and hope you get lucky if you're low on keys, somehow.
Dude, you nailed it, literally that's the best idea I've seen with the planetarium mechanic, even the names of the items are cool, now you made me wish we had something like that, especially the supernova one, probably making it quality 4 or secret pool

You should try the Mars Trigger mod, it lets you bind Mars to a specific key instead of double-tapping. Genuinely one of my favorite planetarium items because of it.
There's a small chance Matt may have a remembering mars gives you invincibility arc. Sequel to the bomb immunity arc.

Fun fact: if you have the crystal ball active item and skip a treasure room you actually get the 100% chance instead of the 20%
mattman, Mars makes you invincible during your dash attack. you aren't clipping though the brimstone laser, Mars is just granting you s so you don't take damage (it would work even if you were a normal size). you also did the Forget Me Now trick the wrong way round (you're supposed to use Forget Me Now as you run into Spindown Die; instead you ending up rerolling the Forget Me Now pedestal)
Not remembering that going through brims isn’t some synergy but just basic mars invincibility is truly a MATTMAN MOMENT

Hey Matt :) Just wanted to say that I've been interested in modding Isaac for a while, I could easily turn these ideas you have into reality every time :)

Just a quick note: with just a few size downs and a pony dash/something similar like mars dash in a crawl space, it’s very easy to clip through the floor or walls and Error Room on demand
I did it on accident recently, and I wasn't even dashing. I had high speed and smol size while dropping from a ladder.
Quick tip if you want to go planetariums matt, if you go to the beast path, You can pick Up the items you missed out on, basically negating the risk.

There's a Mod I like which adds a Zodiac item as an alternative item choice in Planetarium rooms so getting Mars and Jupiter don't hurt as much. Plus sometimes the Zodiac item is better like Scorpio and Capricorn especially.
When you have Pluto and have free crawl spaces, you can get free error rooms by dropping
My reasoning for skipping at least one treasure room is that while sure, the best planetarium items don't really compete with the best treasure room items, even jupiter or mars are still way better than stuff like butter bean or angry fly lol
And skipping only the first treasure room doesn't really affect the run that much, while basically guaranteeing the planetarium will show up eventually. Sometimes it won't, but you gotta be pretty unlucky in my experience.
i know this is kinda a hot take, but mars is legit my top 3 planetarium item behind terra and uranus
being able to enter curse rooms for free, and how much damage becomes much easier to dodge makes it really OP (also it makes tainted jacob much easier)
speaking of Mars i recently found a new interaction i didnt knew about the other day, T Forgotten can move with it without being thrown by the soul and i think that is funny and it was not terrible for once using that item

6:49 i think that what happened here is that the mod that *replaces* treasure rooms updates every time you enter a room so naturally entering new floor didn't trigger it
9:20 small min-max tip: mars allows for free curse rooms
11:22 so, to summorize, some games don't check collisions in a way that they check if you would go past the wall and then teleports you back, but instead if your HITBOX would collide with the wall in the next frame. With that in mind, mars passes about 1 tile per frame and normally isaac's hitbox is large enough to predict that "oh, he would be in the wall next frame so i will teleport him to the side from which he came from" but of course because you have pluto game is like "well, isaac isn't in the wall next frame so there is probably nothing in front of him. Everything is accept : ) 👍". Of course i don't have the source code or anything and it's just a speculation on my part.

Isaac going over a gap is common - remember he just kills satan and death itself on a daily basis
I feel like there could be a fun passive item that increases the chance of a planetarium to 100% after skipping a treasure room, but resets to 0 after spawning one, so you need to keep skipping.
If you have crystal ball you get guaranteed planetarium after one skip and it does not set to 0 afterwards ;)

I'd imagine the mod alters the room generation part of isaac's code, specifically the part that generates treasure rooms, and altered the generated room type to be planetarium instead of treasure room. Guessing tho, I would genuinely love to know how they did it!

I had an idea for a challenge just now:
Give yourself the the different items/trinkets that spawn pickups on hit or just in general(old banadge, fanny pack, etc) and the challenge is: You can only pick up consumables spawned from those items/trinkets. You could even give yourself sackhead or d20 for variety. Lastly, Bag of crafting could be added since it's in theme(but that could also make the video more boring because bag of crafting is very straightforward)

if you are that tiny and have pluto, you can also clip trough stones and cliffs if you have 2 speed. I resently found that out in a run where i had Pluto and like 4 or 5 size down pills
Play with the forgor guy and each time you end a floor, you have to use forget me not

Sol: i do really like that but I wish it would do something in the boss fight!
Luna: Luna is so good, more secret rooms are always crazy and then this little buff you get from it!! Find X-ray vision, blue map or anything like that and its so op!!
Mercurius: that item is so good it you don't want to waste any charges on your active item!
Venus: it's nothing crazy, it can save you some damage but at the end of the day, you take it and forget about it for the rest if the run
Terra: do I even have to say it? Crazy good, my personal fav. You find every secret room, get every tinted rock and get every crawlspace, a run winner.
Mars: fuck that item.
Jupiter: I don't hate this item but it's not wroth going for, if you skip a treasure room for that it's just disappointing. I never saw someone actually using it effectively
Saturnus: I love that item but I hate it at the same time. Every time I get saturnus I also get trisagion and I can't see shit with that combo, it's so annoying
Uranus: I love that item, I love the freeze effect but you kinda need piercing with it imo
Neptunes: it's good for the first few floors but after that you don't really use it, right? But crazy good with rock bottom
Pluto: it's good but so annoying at times

Dude that blind mars gave me PTSD from the awesome run I had with Jacob and Esau (whats rare since I hate playing with them) and got a 1% blind planetarium and it was a fucking damn Mars
controlling two characters is already hard enough without one of them dashing randomly (I know its not random but we all know how it feels when playing with mars)
i would like mars a lot more if it was a super short dash that gave i-frames that you could use to dodge projectiles, similar to enter the gungeon (which i still think Matt should play btw)

you actually dont need mars to do that you just need max speed and pluto. i discover this not long ago and sometimes when i was zooming tru rooms i accidentally walk tru spaces between rocks or right on big hole and just walking on it. its super cool
