Hey James. I'm a drummer for several bands and I often run our light show. I'm new to the DMX control world and I currently use a standard DMX board, but I've already outgrown it. Right now I will either select a specific scene for a song or switch a bank of 8 scenes to music mode light fixture changes. With that said, I'm looking to upgrade to the MYDMX 3.0 with the 3D visualizer software. Is there a way to switch scenes by striking an electronic drum pad? Or, for example, strike the pad - scene on. Strike it again - scene off. I also have a Roland SPD-SX sampling unit that comes with 9 individual pads that I've seen people connect lights to. How I saw it used was each pad caused a set of lets to change color or movement. I'd ne more interested in usually it like a controller to switch scenes. Go to blackout, etc. I scoured TH-cam for any headway on this, but didn't come upo with anything. Any help here would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi JAMES do you by any chance have any sho files for ADJ Sweeper Led or Led Quad? I am having problems figuring how to get them to chase like in the adj promo videos thanks
Hey James, so I recently purchase MyDMX3.0 and it looks great. I was able to patch my Light fixture but when trying to run the 3D Visualizer my Robe ColorSpot 250AT and Robe Spot 150 XT wont show up on the 3D View... MY Elation PowerSpot 250 show up and work perfectly with the exception that instead of a white beam i get a blue beam ...but non the less it shows up on the 3D... any help will be great ...Thanks Ps; on MYDMX2.1 3D visualizer I was able to see all my light fixtures with out problem..
When I go to the audio input on my DMX interface it shows "none" and "none" is the only option. How can I get my laptop microphone to show up in myDMX3.0 software????? PLEASE HELP
Does Mydmx 3 work with Logic Pro X? I found a video showing how to program a light show using mydmx 2 with logic, but no one seems to know how to do it with mydmx 3.0.
Josiah Prosser Hi, it should work with any MIDI software and pretty much exactly the same as it does in 2.0 but better with more options. In the edit tab each scene has a midi button you can click and then link up midi notes etc.
@@Jingles8302 Thanks for the reply, Jingles! I see there's a button called "Edit MIDI mapping" next to "Triggers" on the far right when I select a scene. I click on this and a pop up comes up called MIDI Triggering. Is this what you are talking about? If I want to pair midi notes in Logic to myDMX 3.0, do I check "MIDI in" and select Type: Note On? Will it automatically detect a MIDI loop if I loop a MIDI track in Logic?
Hi James, BPM in "Audio" is a useful feature but looks like it is not doing the right job. Used pretty simple setup: - running MyDmx 3.0 software w/o MyDmx hardware, just looking at BPM counter, - Playing various clips on the same PC or NOT playing anything, - Internal microphone is ON. Here are the problems: 1) When no music is playing on a PC, the counter normally shows 0 bpm but sometimes it is stuck, for quite a long time, at EXACTLY 132 bpm (and rarely at 148 BPM). Clicking "Reset" does not help; the counter would to go back to 0 bpm randomly on its own, whenever it decides so; 2) When a clip with a known BPM rate is playing on PC, the MyDmx's BPM counter readings are all over the place. It can read 175 BPM for a 60 BPM clip, or, vice versa, it can read 120 BPM for a 150 BPM clip; 3) No matter what's playing on PC, the BPM meter readings are NEVER below 100 BPM. Your video partially confirms the problem (at least #3). I put the same question on ADJ forum but got now response so far.
facing same issue with pulse triggering. Its not usable for me. Have you find a solution or are you still using mydmx3.0? During a break I want to trigger a scene (When music is below certain volume). It seems this is not possible is it?

No, sorry. Never used those lights. Should be as simple as placing the effect. Might be a profile issue too?

Also be sure your sound card is enabled and updated drivers etc. it should just detect.

Michael Rees yes. You just ALT click ANY button in the live area or even edit and it'll go to the show area. Make sense?

It doesn't support timecode!!!!! Don't mislead other people, it works with midi clock. These are two different signals.
