Yes, i play by ear all the way since 18. I know notes but its not the way i love to play. To learn i use "Transcribe" by Sevenstring software. All you need is to try try try and try. When i started (in 1997) here where i live no information about flamenco was available. Only Gipsy Kings and Paco de lucia recordings, and i started to learn them with tape recorder. Those were great times. Search for Denis Sedovich, you will se me playing my music, hope you will like it

Man if you know of any type of ear training software that I can use to help me do that let me know, do you play by ear by the way? im still learning but im reading notes and its not too hard but its not too easy either the guitar specially this type of guitar its hard to learn not impossible but lots of work.
It's not the "years" that one puts in, it's the "hours." If you spend 30mins/day, youll be technically accomplished in 20 yrs. If you spent 5hrs/day, it would take 4 years to get there! If you fit what you claim ("it.s easy to me"), then transribing the piece down WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING at Kema's fingering is a no brainer for you.
