Henry was blue for a few books until they made him green again. Awdry explains in one of his books that this is because the Sodor Railway's livery was blue with red stripes for most engines. This is why you see Thomas the same color as them.
there once was an engine who was attached to a train, was afraid of a few drops of rain, ran into a tunnel , squeaked through his funnel, never to come out again. henry will u pull this train, oh yes sir.
What I've just realized now is that in "The Sad Story of Henry", he had a 4-6-2 wheel configuration, very much like Gordon's. However, after his stay in the tunnel, his trailing wheels were missing, making him a 4-6-0. He stayed like that until his rebuild, but I like to think that when he was locked up in the tunnel, thieves broke in and stole his trailing wheels, and the fat director didn't care enough for him to give them back, as it didn't really make a difference. His unintentional 4-6-0 wheelset is what led him being rebuilt into an LMS Stanier "Black Five" after his first attempt at pulling the Flying Kipper, where his wheelbase was shortened to pull his tender closer to his boiler, however in the TV series, his wheelset remained the same even after his rebuild, and every time I look at the space between his drive wheels and tender, I can't help but think "man, a pair of trailing wheels would make sense there."

Ah yes, the story that normies refused to know But then again, even Thomas fans have a dumb theory about Henry which is the rebuilt Henry we see after the crash in The Flying Kipper is not the original Henry but instead, a clone

Also Donald And Douglas. Only James got a new colour by choice and Oliver and Duck kept their GWR green because of little western.

Lol, maybe the steam team must be blue too lol
I already noticied that.
Redemption is an insanely common theme in the Railway series. Here's where it started.
2:48 are we not gonna talk the fact that sir topham hatt literally just said he hated gordon right to his face.
Lmao
0:21 Poor Henry had no steam to answer.
4:01 Henry: Oh yes uh certainly. I'm only too pleased.
Me: What?!
He had no steam to whistle back
Dave you're a saint rescuing these for us. Many many thanks.

An awesome way to end the book
I like how Johnny Moris narrates this
One major flaw in this story is the train must been about four hours late as they would wait for Henry to raise steam.
davidgwr Not to mention putting the tracks back..
@@oscillation9814 he just could've reversed like he did in the episode
Davidgwr maybe the train had a different schedule
And happy final to the the big three engine Edward,Gordon and Henry
Wait, Edward was able too pull them in Edwards day out, why can't he in this one!
More coaches I guess
Great question. In that story, Edward was likely pulling a much smaller and slower train. This though, is the Express!
Why did Henry opt to be blue? He was so proud of his green paint!
