I have Etios Cross Diesel 2015. 140000kms done. Pros: Best mileage 20kmpl in hills (I am from Shimla) 30kmpl on highways (Shimla-Delhi) Affordable service. Comfortable for long drives. Sufficient leg room. Wide body hence no turbulence on high speeds. Cons: Model discontinued hence parts are not easily available and are expensive also. Major problem of dust getting inside, isolation is not up to the mark. Boot space is less. Wide body hence not good for off roads.
@@stifler4eva1 I bought 2015 model in 2020 at 4.35lakhs from Toyota dealership. Meter reading of 68000kms. Right now on paper my car value is 3.4lakhs and people are ready to give 4lakhs. Before buying please keep in mind few points like > The government is focusing on discontinuing diesel cars. > Your average running should be 85kms+ to get benefit out of the diesel engine. > Spare parts will be an issue as the model is discontinuing and they are expensive if you buy from agency. > If your running is on paved roads and highways then it's good. Otherwise keeping your interior clean will be a major issue as I have mentioned in my original comment. > It will be valid for the next 5.5years only if the govt doesn't allow you to extend its life. So investing that much money is worth it or not it's up to you. > Also it's BS 3 so it is banned in Delhi region and after 10 years I will be banned in most states (rules are not clear yet). So do look at the status regarding the same in your state and city.

How is the 1.2 petrol engine of etios cross ? I had come across a 2015 Etios cross 1.2 G 2015 Model 3rd owner 86,000 kms driven. Asking price is ₹3.20 lakhs (South India) Is this a good car for a new driver who's still learning to drive? I'm concerned about the maintenance of the car since it is the 3rd owner and a lot of kms are already completed on the odometer. As per the body line of the car the car looks to be well maintained. How is the mileage in the petrol 1.2 variant?
@vaibhav_naik Thanks for your comment & consideration for an advise. My Sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your comment. As far as information shared by you in your comment I feel though the car is driven 86k But it's already a 3rd owner hence price is on higher side. According to me 2 to 2.5 Lacs is OK for this car consideration the car condition explained by you. However I would suggest if you have a budget up to 3.20 Lacs the go for current & some of the latest cars & not to worry if you are still learning the driving. The one which I am talking about in this video is I have personally used many of time hence I am confident about this car. In your case take some knowledgeable person also with you to observe the car. Company use to claim 17kmpl how ever now in your case can be shared looking & driving based on car condition. See if you can explore some more options also to have a choice available while taking final decision.
@@AutomobileDNA Thank you so much for your response. Please do not feel sorry for late response, I think you have responded really quick and suggested me a good analysis of the Etios cross. Since I'm a new driver I had checked a lot of pre-owned cars on OLX and have found few cars to be in my budget of 1-2 lakhs. If the car is really good I can extend my budget upto 3. I would mainly use the car for practicing driving on weekends and then use it over weekends or occassionally for short trips with 3 family members on highway since tier-3 cities have less city roads. Also I'm looking for a relatively stable car for high rides. Price of the car mentioned here are asking price prior to negotiation and these prices are as per Goa.
