Thanks for making the video, but the dead time is NOT the time the injector spends in the off state as it is pulsing. The dead time is the time between when the injector is commanded to fire, and when it actually fires. That's why its also sometimes referred to as lag time.
Literally no useful information in this bar recommending manufacturers specs. You calculated nothing. You only proved whether your injectors are high or low impedance, then read the info bar on the megasquirt software. Using a multimeter is not calculating something, its taking a reading.

@@BMF_Garage watching this a year later trying to calculate injector dead time and sitting watching you for four minutes so far not calculate anything with injector dead timing is WILD. You are completely misleading and as a person who knows little about tuning seeking information I would recommend that you change the title to "How to determine if your injector is high or low impedance" and then highlight the part of the video where you select ohms and check it. I think its funny how you gave your little "tell off" to the OP commenter, but hes actually right. you have wasted my time, and most likely thousands of others times looking to tune their car properly. Not only is it misleading but this isnt how you do the task either. If I said "How to change a cam" and the entire time Im talking about taking off the timing chain cover then I just look at it and go "oh well im gonna leave this cam in here because i want to keep it stock" and turn off the video. Thats not how to change a cam. Honestly mate just take down the video. This is probably the worst car video i have seen on here, and the fact that im even commenting is wild. That how pissed I was when I scrolled down to see this.
Well clearly you found your answers so easily elsewhere. If you hate it so much, move along. No one is forcing you to watch. If you can’t u can’t understand the difference between high impedance and low impedance and that it depends on the ecu you’re dealing with, that’s on you. Every ecu has its limits. I’m providing general guidance for cases where you have no idea where to start. If you have a better way, good for you 👍🏽
If you have no information on the injector the best you can do is ballpark the values until you get some info on them. The title specifically says how to ballpark unmarked injectors. How the hell is that misleading? That’s exactly what I did.
@@BMF_Garage I think its misleading video too, this video should be deleted. all you was say it was high Z, and then just guessed a value of 0.9 I could have guessed 0.9 too. but that doesn't tell me latency across a range of voltages, nor does it tell me what value to put for Low Zs
You’re right, it tells you none of that and the title NEVER claims to give you any of that. It says how to “ballpark”…. Which means get you in the general vicinity… which is exactly what it did. Sorry for not giving you info I never claimed to be providing? Just wow 🤦♂️

I can certainly change the title, but there’s not much to injector dead time. I try not to make things more complicated than they have to be.

in fact 0.9 is the wrong answer for nearly 90% of high Z injectors to be honest.
and you said low Zs are going to be less.. but you didn't say how much less. I could have guessed that too. lol
