Loved Skagway…we took the train up the mountain and did a bike tour down the mountain. It was the most scary and exhilarating trip ever. Our bike guides suggested Starfire for lunch…it was some of the best food we’ve ever had…I hear it’s no longer open and that’s a shame. Skagway has so much to offer. Great vlog!
Brings back such good memories we had this August, Alaska is amazing. We are going back next September. The scenery is just breathtaking and the air quality so fresh. Thanks for the great video.
I LOVE how happy you all are and how much you all love each other! We are doing the same excursion with Chilkoot charters in July! We are SO excited!!!
Pictures don't do it justice. Have to see it in person. Was so glad to be on this same tour as Alissa. You get so much out of this tour. Worth every penny. Can't wait to go back!
I just booked this same cruise for April 2022 and your videos already got me very excited! Going to make my way through all your videos. Thank you for posting them!
Thanks for your videos. My wife and I were on the Bliss over the summer doing the same cruise. We took a bus up into Canada then rode the train back down. We had lunch at Liarsville and ended the day with the brothel your. Loved Skagway.
Thank you for sharing its amazing at all the waterfalls it just blew my mind just beautiful and snow on top of the mountain one thing for sure wear warm clothes for sure can't wait till the next port of call
Views are breathtaking.....USA has it all...Mountains, oceans, and everything in between...ty for sharing. I’m in Boston.....Alaska is such a hike....but I’ll have to start saving for it.
Great vlog series guys. You all are a hoot ! Brings back so many memories of our 03 and 08 cruises. We did the bus up and the railway back down in 08. As you have said "absolutely amazing" . During winter down time we will certainly do viewing of various of your past adventures. 👍👍👍
My wife and I have always resisted an Alaskan cruise. Your Vlogs serve to re-enforce our decision. We're going to stick with the tropics. Thanks for the videos.
Your vlogs have been amazing! I love all the pictures you've taken and how the kids really got into this trip. Jason as nice as it is I'm still not convinced to cruise in a cooler climate lol
So glad you guys are enjoying visiting Skagway, it really is a historic town, it was a very big town during the Gold Rush days and today it's mostly a very small town and been doing well for tourism business. I noticed the doughboy might be very similar to Native American Fry Bread probably the same recipe, I never tried the doughboy or the Native American Fry Bread yet. Keep up the good work on the Vlog show I just loved it.
I'm so jealous!!! I was supposed to be on the 2nd Bliss voyage to Alaska in 2018. Three months before I had serious car problems and had to cancel. Fortunately I was able to get back the entire amount I had paid. Still, that only provided me with half of the cash to get my car fixed. Oh well, only 197 days (or 6 months, 15 days and 18 hours) until I get on the Panorama.
I love Alaska. That's why I've been five times. I have to go at least once every four years. My favorite shore Excursion is Glacier Gardens Rainforest Advemture in Juneau. The trees are upside down with flowers and Vines growing out of the roots. And getting to go around the property on open aired vehicles. I did it in the rain and I loved it. And I don't like gardening.
I like my beaver tail with just salt., but they also put icing sugar, cherries & whip cream, and then the sugar and cinnamon on them. The train ride up was longer as they can only average 25 mph because of the grades.
hi guys. I took the bus tour from Skagway also. We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls, I filled my water bottle up with fresh spring water. OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. We stopped at Emerald Lake and then went into Canada to do a dog sled ride. I was disappointed because we were pulled in an atv. I wanted a true sled dog experience. If you don't believe I love Alaska, my whole bedroom is filled with nothing but Alaska. Thanks again for another wonderful VLOG. Keep in touch. Dodie Sweeney
We were in that exact same spot after crossing the USA border 3 months ago from our Alaskan Cruise. Pictures will never do justice to that place. So cold though even though it was early August.
Thanks for sharing! I saw some photos of that bluish / green lake that look like it was nestled in the mountain? That was cool! We were going to go on July 15th but hubbys work partner wanted that time so we moved our plans to Aug. 8th. Now we have done this cruise at the end of August (my birthday the 27th!) and the weather was fantastic! You guys looked like you were freezing your yoooha's off!
The water is so beautiful!! They told us it is the glacial silt that make the water that color. It was cold, but we loved it. Being from the South, we embrace cold weather when we can get it.
This video is incredible! So beautiful! My dream to go there! If it wasn't so CD I would lo vs to live there, but I'm from Texas and i don't think I could handle the cold on a day to day basis!
Thank you for taking me along to ALASKA! Okay, so Im a diehard NCL fan, my next two cruises are already booked. Mexican Riviera on Joy's Haven this winter and Panama Canal on NCL Emcore next winter. So While I'm onboard Joy, I' ll buy some cruise next certificates and book ALASKA! Always looking forward to EECC Travels next video too!
Authentic beavertails look a little thinner than that doughboy, but they come in multiple flavours and have a distinct oval, beaver tail shape, hence the name
did you guys get to carcross desert ? we were going to take the train but there was a rock slide so we took the 6 hrs bus ride > it was better then the train ride been on the train before.
They do offer it now but it is QUITE expensive and I’m pretty sure they use the same company for at a higher price tag. ❤️ www.ncl.com/shore-excursions/SGY_40/White-Pass-Railway-Yukon-Expedition?destination=Alaska+Cruises&port=SGY&sort=searchWeight&sortOrder=asc&perPage=12
Taking the Emerald Princess there next August. I'm guessing you booked both the train and bus through Chilkoot. I'm curious where you board the train in comparison to those booked through the cruise line.
NCL didn't offer the train/bus combo. My understanding is they run several trains per day and some are round trip and some are the split trips like this one.
I am curious why it seemed so much colder taking the bus, than when you guys were standing between the railroad cars? Do they travel different routes, therefore the bus is at higher and colder elevations the majority of the drive? Or was it simply the weather changing? Your Alaska trip has been awesome so far! Thank you for sharing the videos!
Can you please tell me if this was the 3 hr trip or the 8 hr one? Your family are just amazing and have heightened my excitement for our first cruise ever in September.
How did you book that tour? And more importantly, are there tours for sale when you get off the ship? I'm doing all of these ports twice and was hoping to book on the day based on weather? Thanks! 🙏💐
This was pre-booked with Chilkoot Charters. They were great but I do recommend booking in advance as there are so many ships in port each day tours can sell out.
Is there a side of the ship..balcony wise that is better overall....or beauty is all around and it doesn’t matter....I love aft balconies but I kind of think the side balconies are better for Alaskan Cruising
Dan Zuelch Awesome, tyvm. Sounds like either side is a win...given the rotating of the ship....but I will probably pick the starboard side due to your recommendation. Tyvm. Tom
This Alaska trip is so much different than the tropical cruises. I know I'm ready to try it. Thanks for a great video.

You definitely made the right call to ride the bus back down. We do the same thing on the Durango-Silverton train.
Brings back such good memories we had this August, Alaska is amazing. We are going back next September. The scenery is just breathtaking and the air quality so fresh. Thanks for the great video.

Wow that is truly breathtaking, an Alaskan cruise is definitely on my bucket list!!
Me and my wife are huge fans of your videos
Meals on wheels, lmao! That excursion looked like so much fun. I cannot wait to go back to Alaska, there is still so much to see :)
Love your videos! Can’t wait for your next video! You have made me so homesick! But we going up home next October!
What a great series " Alaskan Adventure " I must go back late in the season like you. Takes your breath away!!
Thanks for your videos. My wife and I were on the Bliss over the summer doing the same cruise. We took a bus up into Canada then rode the train back down. We had lunch at Liarsville and ended the day with the brothel your. Loved Skagway.

Absolutely "BREATHTAKING"!🤩😍 Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for these. They are the best you tube videos for really experiencing Alaska! Can't wait until August!
Awe thank you so much!!

OMG! That whole wall behind you at the Doughboy store! I would have went broke.
Best breath taking day ever! Enjoyed the vlog ❤️🚢
My wife and I have always resisted an Alaskan cruise. Your Vlogs serve to re-enforce our decision. We're going to stick with the tropics. Thanks for the videos.
I'm going to binge watch this Alaska cruise video series with my wife to get us pumped for our cruise in May/June 2020.
Love it!!!
Thanks for another great video!
Best snack in Alaska!
The twins are growing so fast. I'm glad you had fun. Brr. I think I'll do warm vacations for a while.
Awesome thanks for sharing.
That looks so beautiful!! It puts Alaska on my radar. :)
Please do it, it is just amazing!
Next time we'll have to do the bus thing. Love the alternative view.
I love the series so far! It reminds me of my homestate of Maine!
We will be doing the Canada/New England itinerary next fall, can't wait for that experience!
We have one bank, one grocery, five bars, two liquor stores. Yeah, gotta keep warm that's critical, lol
That’s an elephant ear in the midwest!
Did this same amazing cruise in 2017. Wish you had better weather. Hope Jason got to sip a spruce tip beer in Skagway.
Your vlogs have been amazing! I love all the pictures you've taken and how the kids really got into this trip. Jason as nice as it is I'm still not convinced to cruise in a cooler climate lol

Skagway was amazing and I love how it has not changed much in 100+ years!
I enjoyed this video!!! Alaska looks cold.

Haha I'm from Alberta, close to the mountains, and we have the same saying about bears and bicyclists being "Meals on Wheels". LOL
Great video!!!

It's an elephant ear! Very common fair/festival food here in Ohio!

Oh wow, to get some water would have been amazing!

Oh yes, if you cruise NCL then the Cruise Next Certificates are the way to go! We have done it twice and saved $500 each time.
Love watching your travels, but I have to say, you have a Million Dollar Family there friends. You're doing things right. Cheers!
Awe thank you!!
Beavertails are Canadian. Loved the vlogs. Looking to go to Alaska next year. Alisa the boys are always taller than their mom lol.
We did try Beavertails in Victoria, they are almost identical to the doughboy, just smaller. Both were delicious!
You guys are #familygoals
Awe thank you!!
I’m loving these vlogs so much! This is my dream cruise, but as I’m in Australia I don’t know that it will ever happen! 😞
Authentic beavertails look a little thinner than that doughboy, but they come in multiple flavours and have a distinct oval, beaver tail shape, hence the name
13:44 I hope that's a drone flying?!?!🤔😂
did you guys get to carcross desert ? we were going to take the train but there was a rock slide so we took the 6 hrs bus ride > it was better then the train ride been on the train before.
Did you book your own Excursion or through NCL
Each year the cruise ships do a grad dinner and dance for grades 8 thru 12 as there are only 2 - 4 grade 12 grads a year in Skagway.
It’s fried dough...get them at carnivals etc soooo good...cant eat those everyday ;)
❤️❤️❤️❤️ Did you book this excursion thru NCL? If so, can you tell me the name of excursion? How long was it? Thanks for your help!
Great question! I was going to ask the same thing (question)
NCL did not offer the train/bus combo. This was booked with Chilkoot Charters. There is a link in the description.
They do offer it now but it is QUITE expensive and I’m pretty sure they use the same company for at a higher price tag. ❤️

Alisa is there an excursion like this one on holland america when we go on September?
Did you book the rail/bus excursion through Norwegian, or separately?
It was booked at Chilcoot Charters, there is a link in the description.

Some rain came through so may have brought a cold front with it.
Can you please tell me if this was the 3 hr trip or the 8 hr one? Your family are just amazing and have heightened my excitement for our first cruise ever in September.
It was 3 hours
@@EECCTravels thank you 😊
Jason
How many videos are on this series? I have to wait till they've been uploaded
As I stated before I love to binge watch the series
Not sure as we edit one at a time. We average 2-3 videos per day of the cruise.
@@EECCTravels thanks. You guys are fun just like Parodeejay
Come skate on the longest outdoor skating rink in the world and have a Beaver Tail in Ottawa, Canada during our annual Winterfest.
Meals on wheels! 😂
Doughboys are Indian fry bread.
So did you say the bus back was only about 39 minutes?
This was a few years ago so I don’t remember… but that sounds about right.
The bus is better that the train
How did you book that tour? And more importantly, are there tours for sale when you get off the ship? I'm doing all of these ports twice and was hoping to book on the day based on weather? Thanks! 🙏💐

Jason, are you taking photos with the iPhone? If so which one do you and Alisa have?
Some of the photos were taken with our Canon G7X (vlogging camera) but many were taken with an iPhone X.
What time of year was your trip?
We sailed the last week of September which was the last sailing of the season.
Is there a side of the ship..balcony wise that is better overall....or beauty is all around and it doesn’t matter....I love aft balconies but I kind of think the side balconies are better for Alaskan Cruising
We had a Starboard balcony for this cruise and really enjoyed the views. The captain rotates the ship in glacier bay so all can view.
Dan Zuelch Awesome, tyvm. Sounds like either side is a win...given the rotating of the ship....but I will probably pick the starboard side due to your recommendation. Tyvm. Tom
We were on port side and very happy with our views. On the Inside Passage you have beauty on both sides.
EECC Travels so basically it’s Alaska and it’s all so beautiful....anywhere on the ship:)
jason did you drink Alaskan Beer? I brought two home unopen.
I did have a couple different Alaskan beers!
@@EECCTravels i liked them
I so wanna go, what was the cost for 2 adults?
The cost is $139 per person.
Is this cruise / ports handicap / wheelchair accessible ??
The ship and the ports are. Most excursions should be as well.
Jason did they have hot boiled peanuts there? Lol
We did not see any
A few more great vlogs like this and you'll hit 50k subs in no time ;)
These videos are amazing. I look forward for every update. I have to ask, are you all wearing tights under your pants for warmth?
We did not feel they were needed, but I did have them packed in case.
Hubby didn’t eat one cause he don’t wanna look like a doughboy, lol
