Almedalen Park is famous for its annual political summer convention "Almedalen Week" which takes place the first week of July. It's a parliamentarian event, meaning every single political party shows up and the party leaders get one speech each from the same stage over multiple days. It has tens of thousands of visitors, hundreds of journalists, as well as thousands of organizers, activities and events. This year, the estimated amount of visitors was 80,000-100,000 people. That's almost 1% of the entire Swedish population.
Spending my 43d vacation on Gotland right now. (In my summer house)
I wish we had 48 days to stay! It was wonderful!
