  • In this video, I'll be sharing some tips to help you decide what Pokemon Cards to get graded with PSA, Beckett, or CGC. Today, I'll be submitting several cads to BGS and talking about my rationale for why I am going to grade these cards.

    It was so brutal to watch you open a case, this damage had to happen, i was surprised you didn't damage the first card too..

      @LegendofLuke  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is how all the other TH-camrs did it… what do you suggest?

    • @fabiopolar
      @fabiopolar ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@LegendofLuke I would suggest to use a "side cutters" (?) instead of that tongs (?), sorry I am no native speaker. Then you try to just clip of the upper part of the case following by putting a thin screwdriver down into the side gap of the case and gently leverage the whole front in one part. It's really dangerous to split the case into many parts, I mean you witnessed that yourself :D Next time will be better for sure ;)

    What's the point of looking at the price comps if you're just going to rationalize away every low price? Didn't you notice that you were comparing the prices of holo and non holo Gengars?

    Good luck with the grades. I like Beckett slabs but only with the gold and black labels.

    Hey, I would just like to say that this was a very interesting and in many cases informative video, and I know it was almost half a year ago since you posted it, and I’m sure you have learned a ton since then when making videos. However, I did notice some small errors with some of your information, for one some of the cards that you assessed were a bit damaged, light scratches or dents which would obviously impact the price of the card and weather or not it is reasonable to grade. Also in the case of grading cards to flip or profit from it is very important to take into consideration fees such as shipping and tax. Overall it was a great video and was very entertaining, but I just want to mention some of the errors so that people can have the make the most educated decisions with which cards to grade and how to spend their money!

    Please make a video showing how to store your cards? Like I’ve been using the ETB and stuff like that for storage even for my graded and one touch cards.
    But need like a better solution. Since when we get together we bring our collection to show others.

    The dragonite looks like it might have a very very slight bend/indentation when looking at the back lower left hand side edge 2/3rds down the card or so.
    If true that could take a significant hit. But I'm not a grading expert. Let me know after closer review if you notice what I'm talking about or not.

  • @krisrawk
    @krisrawk ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I know this is a few months old so you probably know by now but NEVER crack a case across the card. That's just common sense. Clip the top corners and pry the rest open.

    • @LegendofLuke
      @LegendofLuke  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what I did.

    • @krisrawk
      @krisrawk ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LegendofLuke Maybe your first two clips, but the last clip you had the pliers pointing towards the top of the card exactly where the crease happened. You clipped too deep towards the card

    • @LegendofLuke
      @LegendofLuke  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@krisrawk no that’s not what happened. I had the exact same process for both. The crease didn’t come from the pliers. It came from lifting the top plate up but it had not been fully separated from one side of the back.

  • @MarketScraper

    Have you seen an improvement on their website for beckett?
    I submitted not too long ago and there website was horrendous to navigate.
    Another issue is that their pop reports are all over the place not as accurate as i would like.

    • @LegendofLuke
      @LegendofLuke  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t remember what the pricing was at the time I submitted, but I think it’s actually even cheaper now, plus you save more money by sending in multiple cards because you pay flat shipping and insurance fees.
