They definitely don’t watch his channel enough (if at all) to know that he “gets” Star Wars better than the directors/writers they’ve been hiring. I highly HIGHLY doubt there was any hatred or pettiness coming from Lucasfilm about this, they more than likely couldn’t care less. SWT contacted and asked them directly what he was allowed to legally do, and they gave him the same response any movie licenser would give “You can’t make money off our IP but good luck.” At least he didn’t get half way done and then get shut down like what happened to that remake of the old Star Wars KotOR game. It’s more complicated with video game remakes though so that might be an irrelevant comparison idk.

I literally just saw Shards of the Past a few minutes ago, and I'm kicking myself for not watching it much sooner! It was so well done by SW Theory that it felt like a big budget movie! Rex Drake Due to Lucasfilm/Disney rules the film had to be entirely nonprofit so it was completely free all I had to do was drive there.
