Have you seen the "Ghost Town Living" channel? The guy bought Cerro Gordo California and all 30 some miles of silver/zinc mines. He's trying to restore the town. He has opened the closed mines. Trying to open it to tourists. I sort of cringed a little at first he has little experience but he's pulling it together. You're my favorite mine exploration channel. His channel is growing on me. I'd love to see you stop by his mines and give him some advice. He's opening a museum there too. Interesting history.
I enjoyed meeting you as well. Feel free to post a picture of yourself at the museum on the Exploring Abandoned Mines FB page and leave a review and comments on Google Maps!
l love Franks mine videos, they are straightforward exploration and discovery (no nonsense)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to watch another guys mine videos (who will remain nameless), but he was always trying to "amp up" the tension with "oh, did you see that?" or "oh, did you hear that?". As if the mines were "haunted". Showing "swinging chains", that had to be moving by some supernatural forces....LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Frank and Sharron, keep up the good work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Frank hello Sharon What a great millside to bad that the people start to lude that complete historical side. The mine is great ans very extensive and by the way great pictures Sharon take Take care borh of you have a good weekend. Greetings from Germany yours Frank Galetzka
Thanks for the tour! No rope needed in this one so you can cover more ground faster. Still gotta climb a bit Thanks Frank& Sharon for the tour, stay safe. Hope the smoke thins out a bit for ya all. Maybe the temperature will drop down a bit too.
What a great mill, packed full of goodies - decent condition too. Great explore of the mine and how about that stairway. The photographs are brilliant. Take care and be safe you two. Thank you so much for another adventure. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 👍 👍
Hi Frank & Sharon, that old mill was awesome to see, it still had a fair bit of equipment left too. A very cool explore, thank you for sharing, much love to you both. xx 💖
This video is awesome! I like seeing the mines for sure however seeing how the ore is processed really answers questions. This stuff is rarely showed intact. Seeing it how it sits I can imagine how works. Would be awesome to see in action... Thank you ✌
Cool artifacts in gorgeous landscape. The underground game of chutes & ladders was fun, too; but don't think Sharon enjoys being on lower level as pieces of manway rain down from above, tho!
Semi-antique artifacts, still cool and somewhat modern. I'm surprised. 200 ounces per ton, WOW, mighty fine silver ore, probably there is a higher grade of ore.. Nice building. Aluminum air supply or ventilation. Frank the G.O.A.T. Goes Over All Terrain. Within reason. no corner untouched. Thanks for the still shots.
Really enjoyed the episode, I really appreciate you and sharon your so Amazing, and there's never a boring moment, keep up the good work :) Looking forward to your next episode :)
Thank you again Frank for all the sharing of your adventures. Would you ever consider doing a tour or having people join you for a charge to help you out with the page. I would so pay to tag along.
The japanese were housed in the lower mill below the springer creek falls at campground. The foundation stands here until this day. This mill has been demolished many years ago. I love exploring this mill in the video. I put myself in their shoes.
Kick ass mines brother, it is cool to see the history of the mines and what they used in the mines a. Some parts in that first mine that was silver, looked like it had iron mixed in the rock. Are you going to try and get that skip cart for your Museum
Alexco in Keno City is the only operating underground Silver mine in Canada. If you wanted to mine Silver you would need to build a mill since there aren't any around that are in operating condition and doing custom milling.
Hopefully one day frank and Sharon will adopt me a but I come with baggage a 36 year old with a fiancé and 2 children 😂I bloody adore you two hopefully il get over to see you guys one day and Brent too unfortunately I’m a few miles away in the uk 🇬🇧. Keep the beard growing frank and stay safe you two Much love john uk
Watch out for those barking spiders! This should have a warning that you are grabbing onto your pole. It's sad to see people destroying the mill by taking the lumber out.
Yeah that was a pretty sketchy section @27:00 ish. Lots of loose shit to make life interesting. They were all over the place in some pretty extensive skinny rooms it looked like. Incredible amount of equipment 👌🍻
@@exploringabandonedmines 7:05 they did steal the copper from that engine. Alot of wires. Old roof metal is also something people want when they open a hamburger place or some "chic" shop. Overhere they can go for quite a lot of money. like 3-5 times what new metal roof cost.
@@exploringabandonedmines I talked to the blaster I know this morning regarding the dynamite in the cave. He said that he isn't sure what the 75% represents but he uses dynamite that is 75% nitroglycerine. He said that regardless of age or condition if there is nitro it is still dangerous.

This is The Best video so far with all this equipment, and your knowledge and I'm only 3 mins in... awesome mine
Cannot begin to describe how useful your videos are from a practical standpoint. Thank you!
Happy to hear that!
Love seeing all that old machinery still in place! Great find👍
SUPER 😎👍 especially the big "balled" mill, LOL! The still Pix at the end really showed the mine. Hope ur safe from the fires! 🍻 & Rock On!
Not much for fires here , just lots of smoke!
Wow ! Very nice 👍 This should be preserved , would be a great museum for sure ! Thanks again for keeping it interesting you two ! 🤠😎
Nice mill and mine. Enjoyed those great stills Sharon took. Like seeing the machinery, especially that old diesel.
Glad you enjoyed it

Always enjoying your content! I wish I went with ya! I live in the city, I've always wanted to go in mines. Much love!
Hi Frank/Sharon, another great insight into mining, looks like that mill could nearly push a button and it start working.
20 years ago maybe
Yep, that was sketchy for sure. The photo stills at the end were nice. Thanks Frank and Sharon for another beautiful explore.
Our pleasure!
Another great video you guys take care looked awful damn sketchy stay safe out there
The mill is a nice time capsule even though some things are missing. Nice mine explore as well! Sharon and Frank Rock!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great to see the mill, fab pics from Sharon as usual
Thanks 👍
Y’all just never disappoint. Thanks for posting.
You bet
Nice one!! Those aluminum pipes come in handy
I had a couple core samples from the Standard Mine near Slocan that had visible native silver in them.
Really cool old mine. You seems to have a very relaxed attitude about old dynamite though
I wouldn't touch it!
I am watching the Ottawa Mine from Ottawa, Ontario.

Glad it was helpful!
Sorry about the channel mixup during the premiere. I've got problems from being electrocuted to death
Wish I could join you on more of your adventures. Easy ones of course. Going down 700 ft. into a Mega Monster mine is just a bit crazy!
Cheers.
It takes a special kind of crazy to do that!
@@exploringabandonedmines may have a bit of that crazy in me.
another top explore ,great looking mill ,cool mine as well shame about the collapses and the rotten man ways
Very good. See you to next week. Already wondering what youll find

what are the yellowish spots on the wall?,,,,@34:06??...
Nothing at the end of the video!
lol,,, i looked at the wrong side...it's @3009,,, sorry about that...
Great video. If the price of silver doubled or tripled in price, could some of these mines be profitable again?

Near Slocan BC

Next week is even worse!
it looks like someone is somewhat maintaining that mill lots of new looking plywood
Not for at least 30 years
Lots of cool artifacts in that mill. It's nice to be able to see it before the tweaks and scabbers take more of it to sell for drug money.
The wood is probably the only thing they could sell.

Those dynamite sticks you came across, have they degraded to the point of not being able to explode or not?
I am not sure.
I know a blaster here in Victoria and will ask him next time I see him.

Still around? I would love to do this

Fuckin barkin spiders are everywhere!
Is Serpentanite the same as Serpentine?
Yes

Omg. That fart!
Cool!!!
Some good things if you could take them out, of the building at your Museum. Lot of good machines going to waste
We did get one for the museum. The bigger stuff is heavy!

You can explore mines on public land in Canada without breaking any laws. I have been in hundreds of them.
