    If you want to see my other Invisalign updates, I have the full journey in this playlist here: bit.ly/3thTIBd
    I will do a Q&A on Invisalign when I (eventually) will be finished, so if you have any questions in particular that you want me to answer, you can leave it as a reply to this comment and I will include it in the video! 😊

    I know it’s been a while but I hope you are able to regain confidence in the process. Teeth shift at their own speed sometimes and the orthodontist can’t predict it. You’ve invested so much already so stay positive as much as possible

    My trays are in, one week at a time. They've never been stained. Of course, the only thing I consume with the trays in, is plain [filtered tap] water. No other liquids, and no foods while the aligners are in. I clean the trays with the [genuine] Invisalign crystals, and they have worked well. As for teeth that don't move as expected: sometimes it is necessary to install a metal or ceramic brace on the inside ["lingual" side] of balky teeth to complete the process. It can also be done with additional retainers, such as Invisalign, Essix, Vivera, or the old fashioned Hawley. Just about anything can be corrected. For those of you reading this, and just starting, or considering Invisalign, you have to adhere to the plan rigorously. That is, you have to be "all in" on the process. Impatience will lead to frustration. Stick with it, and you'll have the last laugh --- through a beautiful smile.

    Had the exact same problem and same tooth. I was suppose to get only 39 trays. 71 trays later I am finally done. I went clear correct. Never had any problems with aligner staining. That's weird how the most popular company hasn't changed their plastic formula so they are more comfortable and stain free. Have two bottom teeth that I think could have been better but I agree with you, plastic aligners can't fix everything perfectly. People have to be told this going in to consult appointments. Hope you are done by now!

    Please go to an Orthodontist (specialist) and not a general dentist for Orthodontic treatment: you'll have much nicer teeth and less likely to have complications further down the line. There's a big difference between the two.

      Yes, this is very true! If I said dentist, instead of ortho, that is just me having English as a second language and forgetting myself 😅 I absolutely went to an orthodontist and am absolute baffled that some regular dentist would ever offer Invisalign!

    When i finished my set, i honestly felt like crying because there were two specific teeth that barely moved through the whole process. I ended up having to get Braces for my top teeth to get my incisors to move.
    I should have just got braces from the start. Invisalign is great, yet it’s not a one size fits all solution. Teeth are unpredictable, and some teeth are just stubborn. They had been sitting in the same spot for over 30 years, and they just didn’t want to budge.

    • @SandraSkaar

    Just had mine taken off today!!! When I started my orthodontist told me 16-18 months, but took 20 because the same thing happened to me with not tracking about 2 months ago. Mine was a bottom front tooth, but like you, they did a new scan, ordered new aligners for the bottom, and moved the attachment on that tooth. Luckily though being in the US (Florida) they only took 2 weeks to come in. Don't lose faith though...stick with the process. I promise it's worth it in the end!! 😊🦷

    Aghh going through the same thing! My Invisalign’s were supposed to only be for 8 months , then got extended 3 more months and now another 5 months. So basically I was promised perfect teeth in 8 months but now it’s taking 16 months (plus the waiting time for the trays to come) I am not sure if my dentist is fucking up or what. I hate this 🥺

    • @SandraSkaar
      @SandraSkaar  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that (and that I missed your comment until now) - how have things progressed since you wrote this comment? It can be really challenging to be in the middle of the treatment when it feels like progress is standing still. And the waiting time for trays is something I didn't really consider much at all, but it really adds up. If it helps at all, I did finally finish my treatment and I am so so happy with how it turned out in the end and that I stuck it out. Has your dentist given you an explanation for why the treatment is being extended by double the time you were told to expect? What made the whole ordeal easier for me was that my dentist was very clear and explained the why and how of every step of the way. My last refinement I actually pushed for myself, which extended my treatment by a little over a month, but it was so worth it.
      I hope you are in a better spot now and don't be afraid to demand some time from your dentist and make them explain until you feel a bit more reassured. Hang in there!

    • @SandraSkaar
      @SandraSkaar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I think I explained it in the video, but perhaps not well enough. Because my teeth were not tracking, I had to get a new scan and then my orthodontist ordered a new treatment plan. As we were waiting for that treatment plan to be made and the new trays shipped to his office, I had to keep wearing the same aligner. If I changed aligner, teeth would move and the new treatment would not have fit. So it was purely because of logistics, not because the treatment called for wearing them that long.
