Hey Lucia, As a 58 year old engineer I absolutely love what you are doing here. Cool designs, quality engineering and up-cycling where possible. What a range of skills you have mastered coupled with superb videos. Most of all you are demonstrating that the joy and satisfaction that comes from engineering is not just "men only" it is for everyone. Excellent work.

Same here. Impressive work, and great videos made. Sad to see in the comment sections that there are quite a few men around that are having quite big problems with seeing a lady outdoing them in 'their' trade. The world moves forward, but quite slow within some fields. Yes to more women in the field of metal working.

It's like a Burr King Belt Grinder I had for Knife Making. It cost me $1500 back in the 80's and I loved that tool . They are around $2400 now and I sure wish I had mine still. With the Baldor Motor they last forever. I took it apart to ship it and lost some of the parts and it was never the same. I should have left it intact. Great work ~ You are the shopsmith's dream girl and I wish you well. The Burr King Knife Maker I think that was it's name and they still make them. Aloha ~

Super cool, what a beautiful job! Video quality is amazing as is the belt grinder. I also appreciate that you show yourself discovering a mistake. It helps those of us who make them all the time not look quite so bad.

This probably seems excessive to someone who doesn’t know that if you wanted a grinder of that quality you’d pay ridiculous prices… better to make one yourself exactly how you like it and save a bit of money! Also, you get the satisfaction and enjoyment of knowing you made it each time you use it!
    Amazing work!

The individual parts you fabricate are like little works of art in their own right. Once assembled, we are left with a lovely looking belt grinder...it's brilliant.
Impressive editing on the video, a very clean workshop, and truck loads of skill.
