I agree with the take on UK election system. In a bigger picture, democracy happened and it worked just fine. People voted and life goes on. If anything, it's something to show to the authoritarian countries that democracy works and there is hope. I loved Mark Galeotti's ending words on his latest podcast about it. Democracy gives people hope that things can get better. Authoritarian regimes say that things could only get worse. Hope is the killer of dictators.
