A few years ago, my son bought me a straight bladed Ninja-To for my birthday. He had seen very old pictures of my friends and I practicing with them and katana. He correctly deduced that it would bring back memories of a time of the mysteries and wonder of my youth. His gift reminded me that we should all foster that sense of wonder we had as a child. It keeps life much more interesting and enjoyable.

I'm a huge fan. I recently just got a sho kosugi Lue sword. It was used. The pins were falling out and the suba was loose. I'm using this video to get me through the repair

I think Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja are still some of the best movies I have seen!!!!

I first saw Revenge of the Ninja when it came out, I was fascinated with the art and the different disciplines within ( ie; taijutsu, kenjutsu, shurikenjutsu and yarijutsu etc...). I have spent my life learning the way of the Shinobi and I have loved every moment of journey.

Hi, I bought the Lyuesword ninjoto this past july (2023) and have kept everything, handle and blade, still in its original clear plastic wrapping for now - the blade still smothered in oil inside the wrapping as well as keeping the entire assembly inside the cloth bag cover. I was curious as to how long do you think it would be before I will have to reapply a new application of oil to prevent rust under these conditions?

There is a sword of this design in a Japanese museum, so possibly the movie got inspired by that real sword. From what I know the design was not common.

I wouldn't think that you would polish a steel blade with a paper towel or other paper product. Maybe I'm wrong but with other steel products like firearms, you never polish or wipe down with paper product, only cotton cloth. Paper products can pretty much ruin a highly polished steel surface.

Microfiber wiping is obviously best and what we use daily with our temeshigiri.

No "ninja" ever used a straight sword. The word "ninja" is not japanese. It was invented in Hollywood, CA, so was the sword. Take some lessons from the Budjinkan Dojo and learn some truth.

"The word "Ninja" is not Japanese." Oh my. You are just so sadly ignorant on every account. Please read some Japanese history. What is a "Budkinkan" (Sp?) dojo?
