    Sadly what they did to her was assault on another level. If she leaves we follow her to Europe and watch her there. She was attacked more than any other player. These assaults should have been charged as such and made them realize attacking her was not acceptable. Will follow her carrer in Europe now.

    A player gives another player a black eye in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to hurt her and not even a minor foul was called. WNBA doesn’t deserve talent.

    You guys are right, she just wasn't fouled hard, but she was actually assaulted, and sometimes a foul wasn't even called. I will follow her to wherever she goes. The league doesn't t deserve her. The league deserves to wallow in their low earnings, almost non-existent fan base, and hateful jealous players. Wherever Caitlin Clark goes, she will be successful, so why should she stay in the armpit of women's basketball? Why?

  • @GH-oi2jf
    @GH-oi2jf หลายเดือนก่อน +35

    It isn't merely being "physical." She has been assaulted on the court, ane the league management is oblivious. The men's league sometimes has that happen (Draymond Green), but the problem is much worse in the WNBA. At least in the NBA a foul is called.

    The players probably didn’t know she tried to get some of the gate from their home games, she was denied that because of the collective agreement. The players took it for granted that she got them the private jets to go from city to city. She was instrumental in getting the league a better television contract which also would have given the players more opportunities for better contracts. Maybe the players didn’t know at the time but she tried to do an awful lot to get the league more credibility. It’s too bad they didn’t understand. It will be quite an eye opening next year if they even have a league.

      What everyone seems to have forgotten is this: these girls, majority of them, grew up living a lifestyle that's on the fringes of society and to be dragged into the mainstream, which is what CC offers, scares the heck out of them. They want things to remain the same, To the point that they could care less about huge crowds or even millions of additional dollars of income.. To conform to anything outside their scope of the life they've been living is unacceptable..

    Good or her, hopefully Europe learns from the WMBA'a F-up. I know almost nothing about Basketball but what little I saw of Clark she was good. I saw the eye poke and wondered why the league allows fake nails? That was a brutal move. I have worked in women dominated fields and they can be vicious to each other. The treatment she seemed to endure which I saw on sports recaps seemed to be extreme at times with no calls. Based on the revenues I've heard I don't see the WMBA lasting much longer, 1-2 years with the global recession/depression already beginning.

    First, No, I don't agree with Gino--he is a pompous a-hole and Caitlin is built for this game. She is as fast as almost anyone and has shown her toughness by absorbing all the assaults they could muster. I don't remember anyone else in the leage that took this much abuse all season and is still here. Her skillsets are incredible and she truly is a generational talent. For someone like Swoopes to say she isn't dominating, is embarrassing. Maybe she should look at all her stats while playing (any year) and see this rookie blew her off the court. Probably the worst people are the WNBA front office who never promoted her, celebrated her, appreciated her, or protected her. Talent like hers rarely comes around and they blew it at every corner to take advantage of her greatness. As much as I am going to miss watching her play, I am glad she will be going to a place where actual B-ball is played. The WNBA will soon fade away and the self proclaimed stars will go back to playing jungel ball in a high school gym to crowds of 1000. Great job WNBA, you screwed the pooch!

    for soo many of us, we never knew of wnba until Caitlin came on board. We watched how the wnba never protected her, never treated her with respect, continued to keep horrible refs, allowed nasty playing, extreme racism, talking trash about her.
    Hopefully, she is going to Europe who will appreciate and protect her. Its so sad that she has to leave her own country to survive well.
    wnba will suffer and no amount of trash talk about her and her fans will make a difference. Where is the fans of all the other players? Who cares.

  • @HollowayIP
    @HollowayIP หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I think the league has to find a solution to this problem. They could form a committee that reviews every game, after the game, because the refs can't see everything. When they find a flagrant foul, one that was meant to hurt, punish that person severely. They wouldn't have to do that but one whole season. It would clean up the whole league.

    Nobody wants to talk about that there weren't any white players coming to Clark defense. Because it continued to happen throughout the season. So they seemed to be jealous of Clark.
    What about these white coaches who saw their players fouling Clark hard. What did they do when they saw it during the game and in the film room? They did NOTHING. Even the WNBA commissioner did nothing who saw the same thing. And allowed the referees to continue with their non foul calling against Clark.
    People look at the facts and make personal comments. I don't know if the WNBA fined players for bad behavior. If not..then they should.
    So this can't be a racism issue if the league allowed hard fouls against Clark, all the way to her first WNBA playoffs her rookie season where she was poked in her eye.
    That right there was intentional.

    I've been waiting for this kind of article since it became clear Caitlin was a target of the thugs in the league. At least we all know who the thugs are now. It's also clear that the WNBA isn't concerned about her health only her income potential. To start the season with 10 games in 20 days was cruel and reminded me of how much like slavery this schedule was. While Caitlin and her team were being exhausted with their schedule Angel and Aja were starting the season with a leisurely schedule of 5 games in 20 days.

    All this attention to CC and yet the league is set to lose 50 million this year. It's been losing money since it's inception. If the NBA decides it won't carry the burden, the WNBA will simply go away. So whether CC goes to Europe or not, this won't change. So does the league really care? Politically they have to say so but I don't think they do.

    You know it's a same when we allow our egos destroy dreams of each other as putting oneself above another ability to make changes that can benefit the youth allowing them to acknowledge that they can dream & make an effort with loving themselves be confident to encourage touching a young person's heart in enjoying doing something that can change the world it's not just about money & endorsements that little child's encouragement, it's been destroyed as well that a human is being destroyed out of jealousy
    And hate
    It's just unhuman to make someone be discouraged out of pure hatred & evilness shame on those people who heart is that 🥶 on another human being this so ungodly for our youth half see this mess it's just evil give miss caitlyn her props so she can be an encouragement to our youth, and you too.
    Stop this in the industry
    You're stilling dreams & destroying hope for the youth and you to to watch those young children running for autographs from that young lady it's just beautiful & just a crying shame to be so petty and pitiful

      Not necessarily, especially while the playoffs are on right now?? It would not be a good look for the League. The Legacy media is a staunch supporter of the League

    I wholly suspect this is just click-bait, but it's very plausible click-bait. If she goes to Europe, she'll at least be protected by the refs calling a fair game. She will also be a superior draw from those whom wished she'd been on team USA. BTW, Cinzano, cut by whatever no-name WNBA team that cut her, is playing in Budapest. Time for a reunion!

      Don't kid yourself Gilbert. Adidas is out of France there is a lot of pull in the European market.

    They were definitely flagrant fouls, I agree with you, practically like they were meant to hurt her as a way of stopping her. But no referee call. I couldn't believe my eyes. Did the refs not see that? There was something Caitlin may have been somewhat guilty of, that may have played into the refs' confusion. She did have a tendency to flop a bit, not that she wasn't hit hard, it was definitely a foul, but her fall would be a little harder sometimes than the hit. That may have confused the referees a bit. I can't think of any other reason.

    She may play in Europe off season just to see the world as well as keep up her skills. But she isn’t leaving the Fever. She has Midwest values: ya don’t leave the dance with someone other that brung ya.

    This doesn’t sound like it’s what she has actually said? I’m taking this with a grain of salt.
