I've done nothing but sit here and watch and listen to these videos for the past 3 days since I discovered them. I was aware she was going to do shows with Josh but had no idea they would turn out like this. I hope they tour more, do a DVD of this show or any other one on their tour. Pure magic and chemistry and leaves your soul wanting more. To hell with the critics, who can sit here and watch these and not be moved. "Thin Blue Flame" and "Girl in the War" are exceptional.
this is one of my favorite songs from Josh Ritter, but its interesting how this song is so different from much of his other stuff. this is is so much heavier and serious than most of his other stuff, its a great song though...hillary also did a great job there towards the end
SevenCircles I hope that you are kidding lol, he is literally one of the greatest lyricists of all time. This song is the musical equivalent of T.S. Elliot's "The Wasteland". But if you're not into it, that's cool. Good writing isn't everyone's thing, and I guess I'll have to learn to live with that.
As talented as Ms. Hahn is in her own genre, she was a little out of her element here. She sounded... amazingly classical. Some people might dig that... I don't, but I respect her skill. On the other hand, he sounds like a rapper strumming some chords. "One of the most amazing lyricists of all time". Probably why he sounds like a rapper and not a singer.
