I had to re-upload this because I made an oopsie (no one saw it thank lord)
Anyways, here is Tech YES City's video: th-cam.com/video/w2mVLPvtadE/w-d-xo.html
Don't let me lose this one boys, I got bills to pay D:
what was the oopsie i didn't catch anything when i watched it
I did
@@sq1603 what was it
You have gained so many subs
In such a a short amount of time
Think you may have inched out Bryan
So good Job
tbh, you two should pair up in scrapyard wars against linus and luke.
No competition- they'd crush 'em.... I wanna see it too.
YES. I was thinking of that too.
Also they (Linus and the rest of the competitors) could let the viewers vote about which pc looks the best. I agree with this idea. But the winner should be decided from the benchmarks too, which the viewers wouldn't vote on. I mean, it's just a number comparison.
yeah
Yes, i wonder how well that would go -cough-Kris-cough-
This video seems oddly familiar 🤔. Almost like I just watched an hour ago
What was the oopsie?
Uhm I almost tweeted it to Yee but changed my mind the last second...
*E*
I'm the one and only true marquaad
Alzheimers much?
This is hard guys. I loved both.
Aesthetics: Kris
Performance: Yes Man (I was really split on this)
Price: Yes Man
Aesthetic: YEE - loving the clean look, and a big side panel window, as well as color matching the interior.
Price: YES - basically made it a 100$ less than Kris, which is a huge deal
Performance:YES - hands down better scores on all benchmarks except Cinebench, great job Brian
That is actually not true, Yee got at least 560cb (or 650) while Brian only got 518cb. Seems the FX's 8 cores help it out here.
@Ran Ng He didn't overpay at all. Whether you like it or not, he got four pieces of a build for only $100, that is a steal by any manner.
@Ran Ng No problem, although i would never render on a single core when i have 8 that can do the work for me.
The 860 evo was bought in bulk. Source: me. I've bought those drives in bulk.
Aesthetics: Yee
Price and performance: Brian.
Sorry, but it is what it is, my man lol.
Brian wins on all ... I love red led / black builds
@@snipernote Yea, the aesthetic is pretty subjective. I personally just like the clean look of Yee's build vs the more "gamer" looks of Brian's. Neither really looked bad to me though.
@@bravemujahideen I agree. My first ever build was black and red, I got so tired of it that I've sort of never liked them since lol.
Keep doing what you're doing man, I would love to see your channel get super huge. Great video, love the channel.
I wanted to thank you both for inspiring me to get into PC building and flipping. As a stay at home dad it's easy to get down on one self for not contributing cash to the family (although I obviously contribute in other ways). But more important than any money I might make or components I upgrade,I'm gaining confidence and passion. If at all possible, I'd live to run by the deals I've found so far and the plans I have to flip all of it, if that's ok with you. Email, comment, tweet, whatever you prefer. Again a sincere thanks to both of you!
I never cease to be amazed by the deals that can be found in the US for PC parts compared to the UK.
Aesthetics: Yee
Performance: YES man
Price: YES Man
Great work and I think you at least earned yourself a new subscriber!
best pc of these 2 would be this, with Bryans RX 480, tbh. Looks are sick.
YES: VALUE AND PERFORMANCE
YEE: LOOKS
I would LOVE to see something else like this again! Maybe next time a $1000 budget over a week or a month? That would be AWESOME! :D
This is the best video, I really enjoyed it. These are 2 of my favorite tech tubers fantastic video , I hope you guys do a joint video again in the future.
Aesthetics: Kris Wins
Value: Yes Man Wins
Performance: Yes Man Wins.

@@diggad706 no one plays that garbage
Ive never heard someone describe a 8320 as too good of a processor
this is the best video ever, I didn't expect Brian from Tech Yes City to be in this video. This video crack me up lol
The best collab in TH-cam :D
1. Aesthetics: Yee
2. Value: Bryan (The YES Man)
3. Performance:( The YES Man)
Damn from 150k to 230k in 4 months what a beast keep up the good work! Happy to see the channel growing ;)
I've got Tech Yes for Value, Kristofer Yee for Aestetic, and I need to look at benchmarks for performance the 970 vs 480 is so close (slight edge to 480), and Yee's processor is slightly better.
1. Aesthetics - (Kris 10/10 | Bryan 10/10)
- This was to tough to decide as both cases used are part of my favorite cases, so this is a tie in my books!
2. Performance - (Kris 09/10 | Bryan 10/10) - Almost evenly matched, but that RX 480 is really what gave Bryan the edge!
3. Price - (Kris 09/10 | Bryan 10/10)
Either way may the best man WIN!!!! Enjoy both of your content and always looking forward to more, keep it up Guys.
Intro Is straight fire
Badass. I can't wait to build my own PC one day, will definitely use your guide. Currently have my bros PC has a gtx 970 in it.
I wanted to build my first, but I went ahead and bought one someone else built for themselves and regretted lol, impulse buy hah. A ryezen 5 2600x b350f with a Duke Geforce RTX 2070 many many extras for under $900.
@@TheGauges420 that sounds like a good deal, why do you regret it?
I feel a bit bad but I have to go along with previous comments. You win aesthetics by miles, but lose other 2 categories :) Anyway, awesome job from both! Also this is my first time commenting on your videos (even tho been watching them for quite some time) and just wanna say your vids rawk! Lots of love from Finland, keep up the great content =)
5:15 my exact reaction to that $50 deal. Holy crap. Really wish I got to meet the Yes man while I was out there in Vegas. Will have to live vicariously through you on that. This "challenge Yee" theme is giving me ideas though....hmm...anyways, with all that being said:
Aesthetics: Yee
Performance: Yes
Price:. Yes
Sorry Kris plz don't murder me to death
This is actually crazy I’m building my first pc and pretty much have the exact same set up except amd fx 8350, Asus sabertooth motherboard.
You get the Samsung SSD in the "not for resale" boxes to use in a built. Not to sell individually.
Price difference is about 5$ from the supplier!
What music did you use for the montage it was so sick!
Would have personally went for 3rd gen i5 which sells for similar price of the FX CPU yet pack a lot more performance.
Pretty fun contest. It always hurts to buy brand new parts for a pc because then you realize you could have done much better with used
I've got that exact PSU. Still going strong since 2015.
When I first sub you . You had just 5000 or so subs.. now you are sitting at 169k just few months later . What a legend 🏆💯
I'm just here to say I'm all about you using Jim Morrison predicting EDM as your background music!!
Ok Great stuff, both you are awesome!
Aesthetics: Kris
Performance: Bryan
Value: Kris
The reason I'm choosing Kris as a winner for value, is the SSD, the power supply which increases upgrade opportunity, and the overall look of the build! Yes it brings value! Kris's build is a modern looking one that I would love to have!
Idk why but I love challenges like that
Asthetics : Yee also a big fan of NZXT :)
Price and performance : Gotta hand it to Yes Man . He built the thing for 200$ and was able to get better results/similar results so cant beat him.
It's Aussie vs Murica Scrapyard Wars!
1. Aesthetics - (Kris 8/10), (Bryan 6/10) Red theme was nice but tempered glass wins.
2. Performance - (Kris 2/10), (Bryan 8/10) Kris won 1/5 and Bryan won 4/5 benchmarks, hence my score.
3. Price - (Kris 6/10), (Bryan 10/10) Can't argue with that price.
P.S. - Kris wins for the video editing!
Aesthetics: Yee Wins
Performance: TechYes Wins
Price: TechYes Wins
Pretty clear tbh. Love the challenges though. (=
The gpu is NOT from an pre build. In germany, you could normally buy it in any bigger shop with pc hardware like Media Markt.
Kristor has the aesthetic cause I love that case, but definitely, YES won performance and value.
Okay so I'll put it simple,
Value - yee because the 970 was so cheap and 100 bucks for an 8320 with a motherboard is a steal compared to online prices.
Aesthetic - yes because I love that haf case and the led fans and rgb from the gpu shining through beats a fancy case with a big side window showing not so fancy parts.
Performance - yee because ive dealt with the performance of lower end i5s and having a lot of cores that can also overclock is a great option. The lower end i5s in games like GTA 5 and even rocket league somehow managed to leave microstutter when I had the 1060 3gb so I can see that happening with that i5 6400 too. Basically stability in gaming is a must for me so yee wins there.
1. the look - Yee
2. value - yes tech
3. performance - yes tech
At 1:43, no one is gonna question how that Guy sounds like FaZe Adapt
1. Aesthetic Yee, well temperared Glass, 2. Value YES, well spent less for better overall performance apart CPU, 3. Performance YES, Yee beats in only cinebench
Aesthetic= Harrison Wells 4/10 Kris 8/10 - That case is damn insane, Yee.
Performance= Bryan 8/10 Kris 6/10 That RX480 works amazing with an i5, but your GTX970 gets stucked for that FX.
Price= Bryan 8/10 Kris 9/10 The cheap i5 made Yes' build, but that GTX970 for only 50 bucks is... Unbelievable.
1. Yee wins. Looks way better
2. Yes
3. Yes, but it was really close
Great job to the both of you! Great fun and great content!
Aesthetics: Mr Yee
Performance: Yes Man
Price: Yes Man
Tech yes won soz eventhough you got insane deals
Whoa, is that you JC?
Wouldn't it be a bit more fair , to also count up the cost to get the deals ? ( like driving/gasoline )
Btw ... indeed , the PSU could be much cheaper , but kudo's on the case ! i am sure you win that one ;-)
I did not see the video off the other dude but your pc looks soooo nice.
Oh yeah yeah
Great find on the 970. Still not too sure about that FX Cpu though. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
3rd or 4th gen intel processors would do much better in my opinion I guess but whatever, what do I know. Hahaha
i think yee's build was more aesthetically pleasing
but yes city had better performance and price
but yee i think would win because his build would allow for a lot of upgrades in the future
ok so honestly just with the 970 alone, he won this competition. Not even overclocked could an rx 480 compete with the gtx 970... not in synthetic benchmarks or realtime... Brian from Tech yes city screwed up bad with the radeon choice for gpu
Aesthetics: Kris Wins
Performance: Yes Man Wins.
Price: Yes Man Wins

It's not retail?
Hi
I watched both videos and i have to say Yes got better built for few reasons:
#1 for pure gaming preference intel i5 CPU rocks and 480 still one of the best out there, also having 1tb hd and fast ssd to boot from also good.
#2 for 200$ im not sure if u can build better PC than this one, all tho you have 100$ more if u wanna have powerful parts for example power supply and better looking case maybe a gaming M.B or even a monitor.
#3 last thing having modern components is not bad do to support and life time.
So yeah sorry Yee i think Yes wins!!!
Nice job both of you guys and thanks.
What time does the sun set in Vegas? 3:36PM and it looks like the sun is already gone for the day....damn...
i love this makes other console gamers feel better XD
I don't know about performance, ok if I only judging the final score YES clearly win but in the end if I consider a daily use with casual AAA title I think 970 its a better choice. Sorry for my English ;)
That 970 for 50 is wild, I only see founders edition cards for like 150+ , I wanted to run SLI but I see SLI is dead anyways
both did amazing can't decide ;d both win

You definitely didn't destroy him mister Yee
That's an interview with Jim Morrison at 8:27
When that shows up you just gotta reset
damn he really went to north town and henderson for parts!
Brian wins for gaming performance , u win for the nice case aesthetics to be honest u guys win 50=50 pretty equal
The Family Guy mouth drop got me dead
Aesthetic: YEE

Performance: YES
Still love you Kris!
Aesthetics: Yee wins purely on the sexy af NZXT case.
Performance: For gaming performance Bryan wins, however overall performance Yee wins on CPU. Performance is a tie!!!
Value: Bryan wins
Overall: A TIE!!!!
Aesthetic wise, Kris Won. Budget Wise, TechYESCity Won, Performance wise, TechYESCity is the definite one because a RX 480 is better than a single GTX 970 stand alone 2. Cable management wise, Both. For Kris, i would recommend to do a bios flash back if that shell thingy ever comes out. For TechYESCity, mhmm, i got a lot of things to say, first thing, you have a lot of budget left so spend it on a good CASE!, second, DUD! Please go get a better POWERSUPPLY!!!!, last you don't need that much RAM SINCE YOU ONLY GOT 2Slot dud like you can sell the spare parts away to get better stuff. :D
Other wise,
The winner is >…<
TechYESCity. Congrats on my little voting :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I give you an 8 for price a 10 for performance and 9 for looks
Well, Kris, Bryan scores beat you in all but Cinebench. I got an AMD FX8350 running windows 7 pro with a GTX1060 6 GB I got 690 on Cinebench 15.
Yee won Aesthetics and three of the gaming benchmarks and he got the best value of course
Yes wins on performance, Yee wins on aesthetics and upgrade paths
U both r my winner!!!
Both systems are very good for gaming but for editing and other uses this AMD is probably a little better. An i7 3770 is probably cheaper an gives better performance than both i5 or FX. I wonder how this compares with 1050ti 4 gb used or new. Thanks guys, youre both winners.
I think it’s pretty obvious but...
Aesthetics - Yee
Performance - Yes
Cost - Yes
Sorry Kristofer , yes wins.
But to make you feel better if I get to Vegas again I’ll let you beat my ass in tennis 😎
I love these videos and as much as I want to give it to Yee, I feel like Yes got you beat.
Aesthetics = Yee
Performance = Yes
Price = Yes
the PSU and the SDD got you. The Samsung SSD is nice but not for this competition.
Yee slayer all round. Fyi i subscribed. So i vote bryans one sorry. No one cant beat tech yes city
