if you notice Colin speaks a lot more freely about his travels to pen rather than everyone else! In previous seasons he gets ridiculed by everyone a lot for constantly talking about it so he is keeping more to himself now. This new persona he is putting on is a direct result of what happened with Marina and both her (in s2) and Anthony (in s1) telling him to grow up and basically calling him naive. He thinks his sensitivity is a weakness so he tries to become more like his brothers. This doesnt work because everyone, including us as the audience, his siblings, and pen can tell something is not right about it, which is why it is so cringe to watch. Luke Newton did such a good job at portraying his flirting as an act that everyone who watches this season gets the ick from it, which is whats supposed to happen!

I HAVE REWATCHED IT 4 times, and the end of the second episode I noticed Penelope slipped up, she says to Colin ‘ it would have been suspicious if she had not’ SHE SAID THE SAME THING TO ELOISE. Omggg
Agreed. Combined with something she says to him in another ep an whistlediwn seeing through his fake personality he is putting on for society and he certainly has the clues.

Colin is supposed to be a bit cringy because hes not acting like himself. If you pay attention to what Colin saud in his journal he dosnt even enjoy it. But he is doing what others want him to be the girls are into his bull. The guys too. But Lady Whistledown is completely right with what he says
He is also already Jealous of pen talking to other guys before the kiss.
Oh and the girl who plays Pen's sister who you said looked gorgeous (she did!) Is dating Luke T (aka Benedict Bridgerton) in real life

Penelope doesn’t have a choice on the yellow dresses. Portia buys them in that color because she says yellow is a happy color and happy girls attract husbands. The only reason why she’s allowed to choose her own dresses now is because it’s her 3rd season out without prospects and everyone views her as a spinster, basically Portia lost hope to marry her off.

Girl you are so funny but gotta say Portia is not pimping them out for fame and fortune. If they do not produce an heir they will lose the Featherington estate and title. She is trying to secure their futures because their husbands are not well off. Only one of them has to have a boy and all of them will be taken care of. Fame doesn't play a factor but I guess fortune does. But it is not like she wants an excess of money she is literally trying to avoid homelessness and her daughters being put in the same situation as her struggling and lying to everyone. I kinda feel bad for her a lot of the time she is doing her best.
