Thanks for this. I was just asked to be a MOH for the first time today. It genuinely made me cry. I’m so happy to be a part of my besties big day. But honestly I had no idea what all it entails until now. Thanks again!
This helped a lot! I got asked today and I’ve never been this important in a wedding before! I’m so excited I just didn’t know there were so many important things as a MOH!
Cavin!! Such a helpful video! I love this advice. Thank you for this! Cohosting the shower with a family member makes the task so much more manageable, especially for younger maids of honor, I think. Being assertive comes with the territory of being a maid of honor, I think! I’ve definitely seen the maid of honor step in during group photos and reign everyone back in when people aren’t focusing during weddings I’ve been a part of in the past. Can’t wait for your video on getting ready photos either, by the way!
I was asked to be a person of honor and this is nice! My friends and i are all kinda poor tho so trying to plan all that will be a bit challenging. I'll definitely have to check with the groom about lots of stuff (Gay wedding)
I was just asked to be maid of honour, I’m 19 and I’m scared I can’t handle it, just about to watch your video Just watched the video, I’ve written a long list of everything you said thanks ❤
That wasn't my point. I see far too many people blurt out their (often unsupportive) opinions before the bride can even get a word out of her mouth. You can share your true opinion in a supportive way (after the bride has a chance to say how she feels).
Assuming everyone in the wedding party is an adult or the majority at least are adults do not babysit the other wedding party members. The bride(s)/groom(s) should have picked grown mature adults to participate in the wedding day. If you really have to babysit your wedding party you chose wrong.
Unfortunately, people are caught up chatting with friends in the group and not paying attention to the photographer. It doesn't mean the couple chose their friends poorly. Sometimes the group just needs to be reminded to pay proper attention.

You got this!
I'll take all this on board
I got asked to be a maid of honour and I'm 16, so I'm really nervous
You'll be fine! Just be there for the bride when needed and help keep the wedding party in line on the day :)
What's the point of inviting friends to go dress shopping if you don't actually want their opinions except to parrot yours? Just go on your own then.

That’s what Simms do, I thought about the tradition of it all but I already know what I want and opinions are really needed 😂
