As a mom of three with a set of twins, I can say from experience that structure and routine are your friends. You have waited way too long to take control of the boys and set limits for them. You are their parent, not their friend. I agree with what others have said, feed and sleep times need to be on a schedule. Don’t spend time interacting with them when you have put them to bed it only riles them up. My husband was in the Air Force when our children were young and was deployed away from home a year at a time so I had my three full time and they thrived on the structure of a set routine. I would never have survived it with my kids if I had allowed them to run me around the way your’s do you. You are going to have to be very stern until you have convinced them that you are serious, it will take time but in the end you will enjoy the time with your boys a thousand times more. Try warm bath at seven, a small snack, a story read to them and lights out at eight. The minute they get off the bed, put them back with no talking! Be consistent and you will reap the rewards.
Waffles needs a thick layer of straw that he can burrow in to keep warm. A couple of bales should do it. As for the boys, consistency is the key. Same time, same routine, and firmness. They are testing you right now to see what they can get away with. And a blackout curtain on the window will help. Stay warm and stay safe. 💖💖💖
Get APOQUEL from the Vet for Goose's itching. Also use a medicated dog shampoo for his bath. You can also try adding an Omega3 Oil to his food. It will help his skin❤
I suggest re putting twins to bed. Make them go in their beds, read a 10 minute story, then complete silence. If kids are over excited or want to talk, you need to speak softly and say bedtime, try not to communicate ascit stimulates them and they are trying to delay sleeptime. If they get out of bed, warn them once and put them to bed, if they get out, DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THEM,just put them in bed. Give them 30 mins then leave the room, if the get out, just put them to bed, do not speak to them. It may take may times and or many days, but you must preserver otherwise you have lost your battle., gradually decrease the amount of time you stay after story time. Wishing you luck.
I couldn't have said it better! This is what I did, and it works.....parents have to out-last the kids. It may not be fun, but in the long run, it's a must. 😊
You have to be consistent and make them listen … that’s with everything. They throw fits and cry than Marci lets them get by with it. I noticed her dad had to discipline them several time in Fl. I bet her parents were having fits.
You ask about what to do so your kids would sleep better. You are putting them to bed WAY TO EARLLY. try 8pm. Naps 1 to 3...consistently! Kids need routine...everyday..not just when convenient. You don't go to bed with them. Let them cry. It won't hurt them. Shut the lights off and shut the door. If you continue as you are, they will remain running your like. You are the parent. Remember..you ask for suggestions.
I actually hope it ends but I never changed my childrens sleep time during daylight savings time. They went to bed in the winter Nov. change at 7:30 and summer April change at 8:30. This meant they slept later in summer and up earlier in winter, but still 8hr. In winter my hubby and I loved the early time gave us more time together. During the earlier rising time I got laundry etc done while the kids ate and played. Stick with same on naps till it dimishes as tgey get older. Also let them cry, walk away shutvthecdoor. Even if they only rest its your quiet time. Make sure no toys go with them either unless they they need a stuffie.
Make the room dark!! I was taught by my MIL and mom to put your kids in a schedule and don’t change it. My kids had the same bedtime into their teen years. Many times when they didn’t have an activity or sports they’d put themself to bed at 8pm. Their great aunt always laughed at them when toddlers for asking to go to bed when it turned 8. As adults in their 40s they both go to bed between 9 & 9:30. They did have the option to read for 30 min but lights out at 8:30. Naps everyday. Same time everyday. They also learned to say excuse me and not interrupt from the time they were little too. It’s sad how child rearing has changed.
As cod as it is Waffles needs some straw so he can snuggle down in it to keep warm. I can’t believe he had nothing but a couple walls to keep the wind off him.
Hats and coats, socks and shoes, were a great invention for the cold weather, especially for the kids to stay warm and healthy! I see those boys barefooted and no coats on and it makes me want to call you up and tell you. YOU included Crandall!!
Great opinion...I think they are creating content, ignoring the family...all bout making money from vids, traveling, shopping, eating out daily ! Sometimes it looks like Marcie checks out of taking care of twins an putting it all on Crandall ! Just part of my observations...including ignoring all their animals ! Food, shelter, worms !! Not good situation !
Wearing coats can keep you warm and keep you from getting sick. Crandall you are going to get pneumonia if you don’t dress warmer for the cold weather.
Please add straw to waffles hut! Pigs need to burrow themselves to keep their body warm! As for nap/bedtime advice! Set a time and stick to it! Be sure to feed them before nap at same time and a small snack during quiet time before bed! Put them in bed; if they get up 1st time tell them go to bed sternly! If they get up additional times; don’t say a word and get up and put them gently back to bed and stick with this. Kids need a schedule and consistency. Thanks for asking as I would not hv said anything.
Honestly Crandall, they’re not gonna stop until you stop, honey. Kids will take advantage of every opportunity they’re given, they’re smart. They know you want them to take a nap. They want you in there, so you’re just gonna have to cut the tie and let them get used to sleeping on their own. They’re old enough they’re not little babies anymore. You’re just gonna have to be stern and consistent and it’ll eventually get better. Crandall, do you have some straw to put down for Waffles and the chickens to help keep them warm?
Hey there, I’m from Washington State and we are used to some cold and freezing. I know your pipes aren’t low enough to prevent your water from freezing. So what we do is keep water trickling in all faucets during a freeze. Also open your cupboard doors where your water pipes are to let the heat from the house in. Frozen pipes are tragically inconvenient. The animals water will be frozen. Just know that is a full time effort to bring fresh water to all. His bless and msg you not have to many adversities this season.
Be consistent have set times for breakfast , baths, play , teaching, lunch, naps , snacks, play , games, etc, try to keep to same routines daily. Good luck. Your letting them run the house and you and Marci.
Not every Canadian laughing every time you say it is cold😂😂. I would always tell my kids after I put them to bed read a story that I would be right back to lie down and the usually fell asleep. They might also be ready to give up their afternoon nap! I think the main thing is just be consistent and when they are pushing your buttons when they are teens you will wish for those snuggles when they were two😊
Does Waffles have straw in his shelter? That way he can burrow down in the straw to stay warm. How is Goose doing? You should put on gloves, coat & muffler to wrap around your throat & face. Y’all stay warm & safe.
Crandall, I use a small cotton ball in each ear before going out in the cold, windy, or freezing conditions. Also, continue wearing the knit hat. This will help keep you feeling well. As for putting the boys down for their naps, explain they need to stay in bed and they can not talk. If they start talking, repeat and after that you dont say anything.
I delivered the mail in Arizona for many years and I could take anything but wind under 60° in my ears. It really made them hurt. Cotton balls do help.
I bet you have a coat or heavy jacket, Crandall...lol I am so happy you showed up to help those people who were stranded, by jumping their vehicle! 👍 Ya'll exhaust me, and I'm just going off of my own memories! 😆 Enjoy (hopefully) your night! God bless
Crandall and Marci, it's 19 and feels like 7 this morning! Really enjoyed your video. I usually take sunrise and sunset pictures but, too darn cold to get out there and take pictures. Beautiful sunset! That chicken looks good. Stay warm and don't freeze out there.❤️
Regarding meal time. At this age you should not have to buckle the kids in. They are old enough to know that when you say sit....that means to sit. Also, you should really be sitting with them at meals (even if you aren't eating) to show them you are watching, and teach them how to act at the table. Don't make them sit there any longer than they absolutely have to so that they are successful. I think you are going to have to do a LOT of time outs and taking away toys or bike time (be VERY strict about it...even if you have to put them back in time out 10 times). Right now your boys are running all over you two (especially Marci), take back control and show them what you expect of them. Once you have control back and they know your expectations, life will get easier for everyone.
Yes they need to all sit as a family to eat. They never do. They put them to bed than they eat. They will do better eating and you need to set the example.
You can jump start using the battery off mavericks bike or drill. You put a nail in both the neg & positive & attach jumper leads making sure not to touch together. Disconnect straight away once start as you can melt the nails
When my daughter was young, shes now 31. I had to go to a sleep clinic with her. I was told to give her a bath at 7pm, then when she was dried and dressed, to take her to the lounge, give her a warm drink and a bed time story, then put her to bed at 8pm. Because she kept getting out of bed, I had to put her back to bed, DO NOT make eye contact, just put her back to bed, come out of the room and shut the door and let her cry or whinge. I had to do this until she finally fell asleep. Its worth a try for the boys.
AS I rember, we had a rule, never play ruff house before bed time and my four children did best if i tucked them in, and also ,sometimes they were allowed to look at a book or two to them selves
My son used to call broccoli little green trees when he was little. If goose has allergies it might be best to make his food that is what we had to do for our dog and she is much better.
You can’t have it both ways. A long nap and then early to bed. Right now they obviously need a nap. Also, you have to consider what they’ve been doing. A lot of exercise and outside air induces sleep. Quiet days inside like when it rains not so much. (82-year-old grandma and mom of four…. Three of them boys.). Btw, boys are not designed to be still. lol😂
If they have Taylor’s Satay Sauce over there. That is good with chicken chopped up with rice. Add some broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onion . Bit of lemon grass adds that extra flavour. Boil all together other than the rice. Yes boil the chicken
I have to say again here that Crandell and Narci you both a doing your best with your kiddeo. Theybare just now at the age where they are thinking, testing the waters and trying you. You asked for some ideas here. I see a lot of good ones too. Each child is different. Some need less sleep, some need more. I am sure you know that already. Daytime naps get harder and hader as they grow for sure. I had 3 myself closer in age then yours. At time I needed naps and just went to bed with them. Keep in mind if the don't sleep they are resting. Just keep being consistent front the start. Treat them all alike. They also are aware Mavvie is missing so they may act up. All in all you both keep being a team and they will get it.
I live in Virginia and we got 4 inches of snow and the ice has blown all day too. We're supposed to get 1-5 more inches of snow by tomorrow. Stay warm and safe! God Bless you all!
Y'all need black out curtains for the boys room and maybe some soft music 🎶 then a bath before bed maybe wash there pillow cases in a lavender sent or a soothing sent to help them sleep.
That was a interesting video Maverick and paxtyn and Harvey looked like they where enjoying the ride in the truck and looking at the cows your guys lunch looked so delicious specially for a cooled day hopefully the boys eventually took a nap hopefully the chickens and waffles stay warm Crandall I am glad you eventually got the old truck started and you good put it where you wanted it hopefully that heater will work in the well house I hope you figured out how you are going to do the trusses Marci hopefully you figured out how you guys are going to do the play room your kindle cover is really cute hopefully you are enjoying it the dinner looked so delicious that sunset was very pretty Crandall hopefully you saw some ducks I am glad goose is doing better has far has the worms go but it is to bad about him still scratching hopefully one day it can be figured out what it is please stay warm and safe I really enjoyed the video I can hardly wait for the next video thank you so much for the video and your guys time I hope you and your family had a great night and to the start of a new week thanks again ❤
Funny thing about Kindles. You don't see the cover of a book every time you pick it up, so for me, I can barely remember what the title of the book is that I'm reading. :D
Have you ever tried a SMALL tabletop fan to block other noises? ? Ever thought about trying the sky lights that do various colors up on the ceiling, or something like soft lullaby music machines-sleep machines? Something that does white noise? ??? Read 1 book or 2???? cuddle soft toy?
My kids were such good sleepers, but my husband worked at a job outside the home and had to get up early, so our house settled down by 8 pm. The kids were given baths and in bed by 8, with a story. When the kids got older, they still loved a story. All of my kids loved to read because books were a big part of them growing. After dinner, I might add that it was pick up toy time. Baths, story, and bed. You took a trip all the way to FL without jumper cables?
Does the battery need water? If so get some distilled water and at it to the battery. Let charge and see if that will work. If the battery has bad cells you will need a new battery.
I noticed at your island in this video, your outlets are on the sides. IjJust read recently that now you cannot have them on the outside anymore. Reason being you or a child could snag the cord by accident passing by the possibly very hot or heavy appliance. They codes requiring to put then into a drawer, or ontop now. I know you do side jobs so it would be good to look at the 2025 codes now for an island. In mean time this is a heads up for what you have there. Maybe you can add a catch on top your island to hold some of the cord on top preventing itvfrom being pulled even a little. Similar to the cord guides you can buy for hiding computor wires. Crazy how codes keep changing! Good luck, you did a nice job in you kitchen design and build!
That seems like a awesome knife. What name brand is it? I love your channel. Your twins remind me of my Nephew's. They wasn't identical either. There 40 now.
You need to leave them taps slightly dripping to help not freeze over if you’ve got anything to cover them like any noodles that you go Swimming with cover the pipes
I am a great grandmother and I used to babysit with my grandkids and my neighbors. I had a total of five for about two years I fed them lunch. about 12:00,put down to naps 1:00 sleep until 2:30 to 3:00 I would put my kids to bed about 8:00 to 8:30,they slept until 7:30 or8:00 or later
My mom quit giving my brother naps at a year & 1/2 cuz she said he cried too much. She said he quit crying and slept better at night. Each child is unique. Do what your senses tell you.
That cold weather is headed my way in Louisiana (right next to Baton Rouge). The wind tonite is 🌬️🌬️🌬️. I refuse to run my big central unit and use radiator heaters that I can roll to different rooms. Central heat dries me out and gets me sick. I rather cuddle with my dog under blankets and a heating pad anyway. 😳🤓🤪🤭🤷♀️
You put them in bed. You tell them no talking or getting out after you say a pray with them. If they get out and muck around. No sound. Just walk in very disappointed. Pick them up and put them back in bed. Walk out. Don’t go back in at all. In the morning, treat the children that did do the right thing with breakfast first. Let them start eating where the other thinks he is missing out. Then you explain what they did last night was wrong before making theirs.
With the battery being so flat they sulphate up and it’s much harder to get it charged , it sometimes takes a few hours for the battery to accept the charge it could take a full day at least to charge if at all Crandall as it might be buggered now especially if it’s older than the suggested warranty life of it.🤷♀️
For naptime, you could get them each some sort of small toy like a stuffed animal (not a taxidermed animal ) that they are only allowed to have in bed. If they get out of their bed you take it away until they get back into bed. If they get out again take it away again but this time don’t give it back but make them stay in bed. Taking away toys (or even their caps and sunglasses)was our best way to get results. In the morning or after naps put their bedtime toy away because that toy is only while they’re in their bed. it may make them want to go to bed to get their toy like an incentive.
I don’t agree with calling either of you bad parents but it is obvious that your current techniques aren’t working very well. If you don’t believe in spanking - that is your right but you really need to be more stern. All of them definitely know how to play you guys. Sorry but it’s true.
Tell them they have to close their eyes for 5 minutes. Even set a timer, once they fall asleep, turn the timer off. Worked for me. The minutes don't start until the eyes are closed. Good luck.
Crandall, my husband Ford pu was a 1996 with 425,000 miles on it. Before our daughter totaled it. The wreck wasn't her fault. A tree had fallen across the road. Someone was on the side of the road with a flashlight shaking it. I have ALWAYS told my kids, especially my girls. Do NOT STOP for anyone in the dark. Go to a well lighted area with other people around. God was on her side that night. Bc we could have lost her that August 2015 night.
Black out blinds would help x and you have to just keep putting them back and don’t talk to them whilst doing it they would get fed up and go to sleep it might take up to two weeks
You asked for advice so I would start with taking toys away. The bigger the problem, the bigger the toy. You do it with maverick and it seems to work. I wouldn’t let them scream so much. If they are fighting over a toy, take it away no matter who started it. Of course I wouldn’t discipline them on video. Put the camera down and take care of it. They may have learned already that they can get away with things while you’re filming.Back in the old days, kids would always be unruly as soon as parents got on the phone. Well I guess your camera is a phone now.
As a mom of three with a set of twins, I can say from experience that structure and routine are your friends. You have waited way too long to take control of the boys and set limits for them. I agree, children need and want structure. Also, I think everyone will sleep better - you included.
Waffles and the chickens might need some straw to help them keep warm. 🥰
Might need? Do need!

Please get some straw for Waffles, pigs do not do well in the cold. They need something to make a bed with.
Exactly
I wondered where poor waffles was. Hope he had shelter in that snowstorm. Please rehome him if you can’t take care of him
Waffles needs extra straw!!! Poor guy doesn’t have anything to make a bed on!

Controlling much? Wow.stop TELLING people how to raise their kids....none of your damn business.
Waffles needs straw to keep warm.
Maybe darker curtains for during the day naps
That is what my daughter did for her child. Put up room darkening curtains. It worked like a charm.
I think someone needs a heavy jacket with a hoodie 😮😮😮😊
As cod as it is Waffles needs some straw so he can snuggle down in it to keep warm. I can’t believe he had nothing but a couple walls to keep the wind off him.

Wow you asshats are so judgmental.
I so agree….glad someone posted because I was going to…it just doesn’t make sense to me. They’ve all been sick. Still scratching my head…
Wearing coats don’t make you healthy!!!!!😂😂😂 if they don’t want to wear a coat that’s on them. And it’s fine!!
Wearing coats can keep you warm and keep you from getting sick. Crandall you are going to get pneumonia if you don’t dress warmer for the cold weather.

i like how you do your makeup Marci . I forget where the dark and light shade goes but by watching videos ..I will remember 🤩🤩
looks like you need blackout curtains in the boys room
Goodness, put your coat on, you're making me cold and I'm indoors! Lol
And they wonder why they get sick all the time
Quietness ahead of time is helpful for sleepfullness, and not loudness while you eat your lunch and perhaps a blessing for the right frame of mind.
That was a good idea on the freezing the soup in a bowl. Thanks for the advice.

Where are your coat and gloves?
Called laziness to put them on as well for the kids not having socks and shoes and coats.
You DONT HAVE TO WEAR A COAT!!
@@rachemlilyou do if you don’t want to get sick
With our boys they wouldn't eat broccoli at first. Then i told them they were dinosaur trees and then they ate them and loved them.
It's warm where I am at. Not to cold 🥶 during the day or the night.😮 We are not getting the cold front from Canada.
Does Waffles have straw in his shelter? That way he can burrow down in the straw to stay warm.
How is Goose doing?
You should put on gloves, coat & muffler to wrap around your throat & face.
Y’all stay warm & safe.

Are you gonna paint the trusses before putting them up?

Sweet video, yah truck started. Marcie, you look like Nellie Olsen( from Little House on prairie) with the curlers in 😂
Why do you quite often have to charge your car/truck battery ???? mine once they go gets replace with new one and is good for yearsss
Does waffles have shelter and warm hay to bed in.otherwise rehome him
Yes he does
Marci, I am glad you got a Kindle, they are the best. I pay about $10 a month and can read all the books I want on my Kindle. 😊📚
Btw, boys are not designed to be still. lol😂
Exactly how I freeze my foods. According to pot sizes and or people I serve serve. Usually it's only for 2 people.
Just a helpful hint Betadine shampoo for goose will do wonders for his itching from Northern Indiana
nice videoi was a sticklerfor routine when my girls were the ages your boys are but still love the kids they are fun to watch
As a single parent bed time was always 8pm til they turn 9 or 10 yrs old then 9pm.... til teenagers
If they have Taylor’s Satay Sauce over there. That is good with chicken chopped up with rice. Add some broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onion . Bit of lemon grass adds that extra flavour. Boil all together other than the rice. Yes boil the chicken
Hello Crandall an Marice. An the the 3 little ones😅🎉❤❤❤for shareing with us

JO JO IN VT 💞☃️
That’s so sad that there are no coats & gloves in Oklahoma. 😢
Beautiful sunset
I live in Virginia and we got 4 inches of snow and the ice has blown all day too. We're supposed to get 1-5 more inches of snow by tomorrow. Stay warm and safe! God Bless you all!
Oh my goocdness it seems y'all still have the crud going around.
Y'all need black out curtains for the boys room and maybe some soft music 🎶 then a bath before bed maybe wash there pillow cases in a lavender sent or a soothing sent to help them sleep.

Funny thing about Kindles. You don't see the cover of a book every time you pick it up, so for me, I can barely remember what the title of the book is that I'm reading. :D
The animals need straw for bedding.
Find the pig and chickens a new home. They need shelter and bedding. That water topped off won't stay thawed out for long.
@@kathyray1872 I agree, they don't need animals, they know nothing about how to care for them and don't even try to learn and do better.
Where is your winter coat?
Have you ever tried a SMALL tabletop fan to block other noises? ? Ever thought about trying the sky lights that do various colors up on the ceiling, or something like soft lullaby music machines-sleep machines? Something that does white noise? ??? Read 1 book or 2???? cuddle soft toy?
Love ur videos
Waffles needs STRAW FOR WARMTH!!!!
Ok!!!!
Have you thought about towing your old truck with the new truck?
My kids were such good sleepers, but my husband worked at a job outside the home and had to get up early, so our house settled down by 8 pm. The kids were given baths and in bed by 8, with a story. When the kids got older, they still loved a story. All of my kids loved to read because books were a big part of them growing. After dinner, I might add that it was pick up toy time. Baths, story, and bed. You took a trip all the way to FL without jumper cables?
Hello from Colorado!
If not on the side, then where?
@patrustemeyer9401 I said in comment abive in the drawers, or on top of the counters. This is what the codes have said they need to be placed.
Why don’t you have a coat on if you are so cold?
PLEASE STOP 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I am a great grandmother and I used to babysit with my grandkids and my neighbors. I had a total of five for about two years I fed them lunch. about 12:00,put down to naps 1:00 sleep until 2:30 to 3:00 I would put my kids to bed about 8:00 to 8:30,they slept until 7:30 or8:00 or later
So!
Unhook the hose and drain the water.
25 degrees here with ice and snow here in sw indiana also power is out
The best thing is a schedule and stick to it. Shorten their day naps if you are putting them to bed early.
My mom quit giving my brother naps at a year & 1/2 cuz she said he cried too much. She said he quit crying and slept better at night. Each child is unique. Do what your senses tell you.
Cold weather dries dog skin so Gooses itching can be from the cold dry weather. Crandall GET IN YOUR HOME!!!👍👍
With the battery being so flat they sulphate up and it’s much harder to get it charged , it sometimes takes a few hours for the battery to accept the charge it could take a full day at least to charge if at all Crandall as it might be buggered now especially if it’s older than the suggested warranty life of it.🤷♀️
What happened to Marcie's car?
For naptime, you could get them each some sort of small toy like a stuffed animal (not a taxidermed animal ) that they are only allowed to have in bed. If they get out of their bed you take it away until they get back into bed. If they get out again take it away again but this time don’t give it back but make them stay in bed. Taking away toys (or even their caps and sunglasses)was our best way to get results. In the morning or after naps put their bedtime toy away because that toy is only while they’re in their bed. it may make them want to go to bed to get their toy like an incentive.
❤❤❤❤❤
Try apoquel from the vet for itching and allergies
Where is your COAT???
❤
Be the parent and make them mind or tell them there will be punishment
I don’t agree with calling either of you bad parents but it is obvious that your current techniques aren’t working very well. If you don’t believe in spanking - that is your right but you really need to be more stern. All of them definitely know how to play you guys. Sorry but it’s true.
Tell them they have to close their eyes for 5 minutes. Even set a timer, once they fall asleep, turn the timer off. Worked for me. The minutes don't start until the eyes are closed. Good luck.
Good advice, almost like a game for them.
Crandall you need to have a coat. I live in Wisconsin just got through stretches with temps --5 to--u with feel like temp of --20s
I know of many families that found themselves in the same bedtime predicament. I hope there are some helpful comments for you.
Cold weather does not prevent charging.
👏💕
You need a winter coat Crandall
