worth adding - i have the Yema Navygraff MN 39mm, its terrific, love wearing it.. looking now at buying a new leather strap for it actually to go with the MN strap and the bracelet.
As with my experience they look amazing and yours is great. The customer service I received however required escalating massively and resulted in me not wanting to repeat the mistake of buying from them again. I advise everyone I meet to steer clear as well.
I didn't do any research with the brand before I bought, probably because I was buying the rallygraf and it was a low amount of money to risk. Anyway, it came with a scratch on the side casing. I went through the website live chat and they took the watch back and replaced it. Really smooth service. Then I read up all the bad reviews and seems like my experience was in the minority. Put me off cos I might not be so lucky next time. I like the watch tho and more confident in its longevity due to it having a Seiko movement and not yema in-house stuff.
Yema is absolutely some watch I would like to get hands on, I don't mind watch with no complications, but the thing that keeps me out of Yema is, of course, quality control (as I have Seiko issue before so I kinda more aware than usual)
I was really excited about Yema a year ago. I bought four of them, including a Speedgraf chronograph which still holds the record for the most I've ever spent on a watch. But I've had so many truly horrendous interactions with their customer service department that it's really soured my enjoyment of the watches themselves. I'll be selling all but one of them within the next few months, I expect.
@@IDKline true, when it comes to interactions after purchase. My interactions have been both prior to and after purchases, sometimes just to ask questions. The pre-purchase conversations were more fun and amiable. In post-purchase interactions, they tend to default to the line that "what we told you before you bought it was a mistake but we won't make amends for it. Also here's an invoice because you owe us more money."
@@the1010watchclub I really like the Speedgraf. The Seiko NE86 movement was actually the real point of interest, and it keeps really good time and has a satisfying click with the column wheel action. I got the Klokkeriet limited edition which is the panda dial -- I also liked the Norwegian connection because I have family from Norway. It also has an unusually pronounced box dome sapphire crystal which is cool. Lots to like apart from the brand association. I just have such a sour feeling about the buying experience that I couldn't quite fall in love with it and it doesn't get much wrist time. I also have to say the factory strap had a really unpleasant smell out of the box so I replaced that pretty quick. The Yema I'm most likely to keep my Spacegraf. It's only a modest quartz, but my collection is mostly space themed and it's pretty cool. I also didn't have any problems with that purchase so none of the bad vibes.
@@illyth63 Thanks for the info- I love the crystal on the Speedgraf too. I got hands on with one at the WindUp Watch Shop popup in NYC recently and ALMOST bought it... I'm on the fence now.
@@the1010watchclub I really can't fault the watch itself. One other thing I didn't mention is that the bezel insert is aluminum. Of course that's true to the original, so many might prefer it that way, but it's slightly odd that they'd go to the trouble of modernizing the crystal but preserving the box dome shape, without modernizing the insert to ceramic (or even sapphire like my bronze Superman). Also, as you may have seen yourself, the bezel action is friction based, not ratcheting, which must also be true to the original Speedgraf. It actually doesn't bother me, as the action is buttery smooth, and it's arguably more useful for a chronograph than a dive time bezel.
Love mine. No issues. When I had a bracelet issue with my MAEN WATCH I had two new bracelet replacements sent from Sweden to Australia within 4 days no questions asked. These growing brands need to be mindful of their customer service standards. Zelos is another great brand for great customer service and communication. YEMA make nice watches. I have three and love them. But your CS EXPERIENCE is worrying for international customers like me. Why should I be inconvenienced by a poor product? Nice review!
How was the shipping and etc to Australia. Im thinking of buying the Navygraf quartz but its on pre-order and Ive heard horror stories about Yema cancelling purchases saying the pieces are out of stock and having to chase up refunds, etc.
@@ProperCh I have had no worries with shipping. Cant comment on the pre order-canceling order situation. Love both my Navygrafs and my wife loved her Navygraf.
Ok... Great watch. Couple of takeaways here: 1) THERE ARE FRENCH ASTRONAUTS?! 2) That lume shot by the fire! Freaking. Love it! *watch youtuber with baby channel takes notes*
Good review of an excellent Watch Brand. I have been collecting for over 40 years, owned every major brand during that time, and yet, I find My Yema Superman the best of them all. Actually have 2 in my collection, no issues with quality at all. Purchase experience proved to be excellent for both. In my mind, amazing value for the money. No need to overspend on an over priced Omega or Rolex. I am planning on buying the GMT as a Christmas present to myself. Cheers. Looking forward to your next review.
This brand has to be the most criticised brand in the comment sections due to their customer service and quality control, its nice you've approached this subject, at their pricing I would steer clear myself because of these issues. No doubt they make stunning watches though.
I think it's important to stress that they did come through and fixed his issue at no extra cost though. Hard to fault them imho, in general QC is definitely a more challenging step for smaller brands, it doesn't mean they don't deserve to supported.
My experience with Yema customer service was the absolute worst. The Yema rep argued with me, told me my complaint was wrong, and then didn’t reply to my follow-up email. Contrast this with my experience with another microbrand, Nodus. I emailed Nodus with my issue, immediately received a pre-paid label, sent the watch, and received the watch back in perfect condition in less than 2 weeks. Yema being a microbrand is no excuse for trash customer service.
Hello Dave, what a beautiful diver this Yema is. I just purchased a Yema Rallygraf and it is a beauty, photos and video don't do it justice. There were 2 things going against Yema prior to ordering it; 1, mechaquart which I prefer mechanicals, and the concern with Yema customer service. I took a leap of faith and am very glad that I did, it is a beauty. I have 3 gmt 4 handers in my collection but prefer dual time watches like my Hemel Airfoil, it is just so user friendly and the movement [st19] I love. Thanks for your informative videos.....
Really surprised to read so many negative reviews in the comments. I must be one of the lucky ones but I did not encounter any problem with mine and it's been my main and only watch ever since I got it. I switch between both straps every few months and love both. The only thing I notice is that it gets ahead of time pretty quickly, like a minute every 3 days, but I know it's pretty common in this range of movement. Overall love this watch and probably will keep it as my main one as long as it will last.
Excellent review Dave. Because of your previous reviews on Yema. I learned about the brand. Fell in love wit their watches. Just purchased a Yema superman heritage, still waiting for my watch to arrive. Hopefully all goes well with mine.
Legitimate comment. There are a very few people that legitimately don't care about the name of the brand on their watch, and they shouldn't be confused with those who seek out bad watch brand names as a comedic or ironic 'statement'. I think that in this hobby we are so scared of being perceived as snobs that we often keep our feelings on brand identity and its importance to ourselves. It's tied up in the way we present ourselves to the world, which is tied to having pride in our appearance, our clothing, car, shoes and sunglasses etc., etc. I wouldn't want egg-yolk on my wrist either. Caring about brand identity is not puerile or snobbish, looking down on others for their sense of identity is.
Bought mine threw Gnomon watches . Yema had sold out. Last checked still had some. Flash sale for me so a good price. I have had no problems with this watch quality. Shipping form Singapore 🇸🇬 flawless had watch shipped to Texas within 3 to 4 days. Love ❤️ the watch , we have similar taste so what’s good for you usually I have the same enthusiasm. Thanks Dave. Way cool. God bless Ps from the comments Yema has work to do. However the watch styles are way cool. With some tweaking especially with customer service they could become quite significant.
You sold me a Yema with this review Dave but I went straight to the site so I'm sorry for any loss of affiliate funds. It was a great recommendation though although I went down the more affordable route. 👍🙏🏻
Great balanced video. I have 2 Yemas and I love both of them. One had a small niggle (crown feels a bit off when winding it) but it is a small point. I love this GMT but also worry about the service and in particular when I need to get the in-house calibre serviced. It will need to go back to Yema etc. I am a member of their loyalty programme so sometimes get special heads up and would definately like at least another one. Let's see how they improve.
Excellent watch. I'm scheduled for a Caribbean Cruise next month, COVID permitting, and plan to do some watch-hunting - so I'm reluctant to purchase new watches right now. But for that, the NavyGraf is on my radar. Got a nice orange Seiko Bezel insert and hands t-shirt from your store recently. It's great! Good vid. Keep at it!
Undoubtedly this is a beautiful watch, I really like the design. And I'm even prepared to forgive the occasional QC issue as long these get rectified by the customer service. And I've heard too many stories this isn't the case with Yema. And until they get this right I'm ruling out a purchase.
Based on the fact that the GMT jumps backwards instead of forwards, I strongly suspect that this is another watch featuring a modified ETA 2836 with the day module from the day-date complication replaced with the GMT hand. The Hangzhou 6460 does the same thing.
I did wonder about the nature of Yema's in house mov't. JOMW Jody said it in his latest review: the schematics for most ETA mov'ts are no longer copyright protected. Theoretically I could set up a workshop, reverse engineer a 2824 or 2893 and brand it the AnthonySmith1000... and call it 'in-house'! I think that Yema have most likely done this and included a few tweaks. I don't have a problem with it, ʙᴜᴛ the glory years of Swiss watchmaking were in a time where cases were made buy case makers. Mov'ts, Bracelets etc., etc. were the same. You know this, I know this. I get why in-house is great for haute horology brands. Hell, it's obviously been good for Seiko, Omega, Rolex... too. But in the price bracket I play in? Give me a Miyota 9 or ETA (or equivalent Swiss mov't) or occasionally an NH-35. It's not that I'm happy with that. I ᴡᴀɴᴛ that, same as I want a reliable, affordable and easily serviced engine in my car.
I really like Yema's oeuvre. I'd like to own one, but to me 'in house mov't' are 3 words I don't want in the description of my watch (Seiko and Vostok excepted for obvious reasons). To me, in house mov't = trouble and $. I've been in the hobby for 5yrs and have not once received a watch with a QC issue that required it to fixed - in any way. And believe me, this is not because I buy premium watches. 2 out 4 with QC issues? That's a 50% failure rate! And I don't know that Yema is going to be around in 20-30yrs if my watch needs parts. Nup. Not for me, unfortunately.
@@frankdux5693 Yeah, I really dig their chronographs. I may be wrong (I don't know a heap about vintage) but I think that Yema were very well known for their chronographs before they initially folded. Obviously Andretti wore one. The Seiko MQ mov't is a great way to get into an exotic chrono at a good price. 👍🏼
@@anthonysmith2982 a lot more confident in the longevity of the watch with a Seiko movement opposed to the in-house ones they do. Its the only chrono I currently own actually, well if you discount my Casio a168 it is. I prefer watches 40mm or under so finding chronographs in this size range that I like can be difficult. I like the breitling Callisto and Lorier Gemini. Thinking on getting the Gemini though as it's cheaper, and should be easier to buy new than to source a mint condition Callisto. Although, I did see a minter Callisto about a week ago for £1200. Too steep for me at the moment though cos I've recently bought a new omega planet Ocean, Christopher ward trident, yema rallygraf, and a gold vintage Tissot moon phase. And with a baby due in 3 months time I can't justify any more new watches, mainly to my wife 😂. Might wait until the new year, maybe around Jan/Feb and pick up a Gemini.
Thanks for the review... I just found Yema first time TODAY and appreciate their designs. But 39mm GMT ~ $1000 is a competitive spot. Baltic and Christopher Ward both have lovely watches in that same space. C63 Sealander GMT is gorgeous and 20mm band seems a little more robust (normal) than 19mm. That in particular looks a LOT like the SGBN003/5 Grand Seiko, which lists at $3k+ and usually sells at $3k-. But again, first day with Yema and hope to explore them further.
I had a very good experience with recent purchases but as a collector of vintage watches my old Yema's all have quirks, like obvious QC fails to the point I was wondering if they were "fakes". I guess it's part of the brand legacy & history 😂 Still lovable products. Quirky.
Congrats on obtaining your grail watch. Don’t think Yema is for me but then again I’ve never had one in hand. I’ve just purchased a Geckota K-01 pilot (type A) which is very plain in terms of aesthetic but is absolutely beautifully made and has an ETA 2824 powering it. I didn’t think it would be but this might be my favourite watch, so I know where you are coming from in terms of grail sneaking up on you 😀
I think if they put 24hr numbers on the dial, it would be more functional. I love the GMT watch like Wancher Astronaut II but I want the bezel like this Yema GMT.
I experienced the QC issues with my Superman GMT (earlier ETA version) and I went through a few other things things with Yema customer support and they handled it all very well. On the other hand, I think it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth and in due time, my love for my Superman just vanished. Experiencing other brands and numerous models witout such issues leaves me puzzled how they could have such a QC failure rate. No QC at all? And it kept digging there, I bought other watches and this one is almost forgotten now in my watch box. When I rarely take it out and wear it, it wears nicely, its comfortable (although not on the stock bracelet, that is terrible for my 16,5cm wrist), but the love is gone... And I can't find a way how to get it back. I know the watch is special. I love the (for me as a leftie very impractical) bezel-locking solution, I like the GMT function that is not very common in this price range, I appreciate the vintage look with that amazing dome of the crystal and the depth of the dial... But the love for the watch, even when all the reasons I bought it for are still there and are still very relevant for me, the love is not there.
LOL this could very well be your journey into .............."the new norm" where you just upped your baseline of what's affordable to a higher level. once you cross the $1K barrier. you start thinking...................Oh that's Just $360. or that'as $150 (it's basically a free watch) LOL for the longest it seemed inconceivable for me to pay over $300 for a watch (i've been at this for 11 years & probably didn't tip over $300 until maybe 2016). i realize everyone has their end limit & i still have a + 1K anxiety level (even if it's not a financial inconvenience to buy one). but crossing the barrier did reset my perceptions a little. with all that said. Love the Channel. i still do tend to look toward affordable Micro's these days.
Since this review, I hope Yema has addressed its customer service issues with some time passing. I hope so as I really like nearly all their designs and the excellent value of their watches. I really like this NavyGraf design.
Awesome review and transparency! I've been wanting the 41mm Superman Scales LE but at $1200, seeing all the issues with Yema, I've been hesitant to pull the trigger. Now that Tissot has dropped their Seastar 2000, which is less than the Yema, I will most likely get it, especially since I have an 8 inch wrist and prefer larger sized divers.
i’m reading the comments i’m getting the impression that complaining about QC issues generally is on trend and there is a big echo chamber happening. Does complaining about QC make you a superior collector ?
I bought one and like and wear it. Only 👎🏻 is the friction clasp. It is hard to snap open. But getting better. And am the 19 cm wrist- and it is fine. Oh, and they gave my desired serial number- my sports uniform number, my unit number, my surgeon number and my stowage/locker number for 30 years. I’d buy it again if it got stolen.
@@AliasEveWatches All the reviews have salty comments sections complaining about QC issues and subsequent snotty customer service...it's close to meme status by now.
This is my personal opinion of cos. But this watch looks like one of those watch at first glance you fall in love with it, and wanted so bad to get it. But after a few months looking around, and look back at it. You realize that your desire for it diminish. I got the same feeling with the Longines Hydroconquest (which looks better in my opinion and for the same price, or more - no gmt of cos). About QC: the only reason customers get an flaw watch, after QC (mid tier / high piece), my personal opinion is not that they miss the flaw, some are very obvious. But instead they hope you get it, and accept it, and move on. That's the only reason I can think of (we not talking about Seiko here as they produce hundreds if not thousand of watch daily, and I think Yema don't have that kind of demand). And if you encourage such behavior by purchasing the item, you are telling them its ok to do so. They can get away from it, with a lower QC standard (or customer service standard). And the behavior continues, unless they are serious about their customer feedback. But if its a personal preference, great choice and a good looking watch. Congrats.
These watches are fantastic looking, but all I hear about is QC issues and terrible customer service, they still lookamazing though, especially this one, white lume and a diving gmt, perfect for a travelling scuba dude like me. A affordable gmt is on my list but the Merker at halfthe price looks good too, or try and find a pre owned seiko land prospex, but thats ugly.
I think Yema has a very identifiable design signature. I am not convinced by the value, and the QC issues at this price point are so commonly experienced that I would not be prepared to take a chance on them. Shame really.
I really like the look of this one. If I was looking for an everyday watch with a GMT complication what would be the top picks under 2k? I was also looking at Christopher Ward Sealander GMT
I have a Christopher Ward Trident GMT that is coming up on 4 years old. I think it is fabulous! However, it is an older model so I can’t say how the newer ones would be. With CW five year warranty though, they are worth a look, in my opinion.
@@LTC_Tiger I had an Airman 18 Purist but sold it because I found it too small at 39mm, hard to read with the 24hour layout and I prefer bracelet. I almost bought a DC4 those are really cool and only $400 a couple of years ago but now used ones are trading twice as much.
@@tylerservies3380 Yes I had a Trident pro that was really good quality. The Sealander gmt looks very much like a Rolex Explorer 2 but with enough different to make it not a direct copy.
@@MrBacchus18 My DC-4 is a GMT model, so it has a standard layout. Prices on the Airman have generally gone up over the last few years, which I think has more to do with the increasing popularity of the GMT movement. Insofar as the bracelet is concerned, I too, prefer bracelets. I stuck my DC4 on a Strapsco beads of rice bracelet on purchase and have NEVER looked back.
First and foremost, congratulations! I think yema should price itself accordingly as its definitely not value for money...they place too much on heritage and exterior design - not sure how long they can keep up the facade ..
Great video, I own the navygraf GMT and frankly for a brand experiencing a resurgence and trying to push the envelope as quickly as they are I would think QC issues would be expected... I frankly love their uniqueness and I take the rough with the smooth ,they do always rectify any issues as far as I have heard as numerous as they may be. Rolexes and Omegas "ship" with defects too btw give this brand a chance they are clearly growing and have a strategy and you know they look good....p.s they look just as good in rl I also own the Yema Bronze yatchingraf and blue tarmac rallygraf all perfect and absolutely no issues...........yet.
Customer service can KILL a brand for me. Christopher Ward actually is an excellent example of this for me, great watches but QA and customer service are a failing. Zelos customer service though... Damn good. Horror stories of Yema customer service is enough to turn me off to be honest
And I bought it:) Can recommend it to anyone! Finally a Seiko with all the features I wanted: sapphire, milled clasp, steel chapter ring, great bezel… The only thing missing are the screwed links. Imo it can compete with a Tudor on quality and specs.
this might be just me but this is my experience with Yema and i own 5 of them. The Navigraph is the only one i have had a problem with and its the only one with the in house movement. It is not the GMT as shown here thou. I have had to send it back 3 times now as it runs really fast as in it gains 5 -15 min a day. Here is a link to a video i have done on the latest so called fix. Again i was a big fan of the brand but this will be the last one i buy. th-cam.com/video/BZG3lPvrVng/w-d-xo.html
But the fact that you have to go through this and the money yo paid out, I can't go on "HOPE!" Hope that they'll do better. Either they do better or people aren't going to buy. It's just that simple. I can't telk you how many tmes I've heard negative comments concerning their quality control. And this was when customers bought their high-end watches. Don't get me wrong... Their watches are beautiful. No doubt. But so is my 💵💸💰 money.
Not quite sure why you down pointed their customer service because they wouldn't send you a new bracelet without receiving yours first. Sounds like they did everything as expected with your fix
Why in the world would you think they would straight away send you free merchandise based on some iphone photos sent to a chatbot. that’s not how commerce works. you get credited after you return. But that’s the anecdote….Why people become prince joffrey when it comes to watches, I will never understand.
I can't stop thinking they totally missed the colors. Blue & orange (vintage) and black & white would have looked much better 😂 Anyway, cool watch! Not my cup of tea, as I don't need a gmt piece, but cool, nevertheless. PS: what's the point of the rotating bezel if the gmt hand is a true gmt?
I bought 2 Yema pieces and had problems with both. Not the bracelets unfortunately, but the watches themselves. I sold the first one within a couple of weeks as the lume was so bad, it was unusable diving, it was also very slightly misaligned. Customer service was non existent at the time, a couple of years ago. The second one was losing 40 seconds per day, totally unacceptable AND one the hands wasn't correctly lumed, it looked like it got chipped off sometime during the assembly. Yema quality is just not good enough. I've had better quality from watches half the price. It's an uninspiring brand for me. Never again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Grail? 🤔 I just recently got the Superman Air Force. On sale, $700. I kept it. It works (so far). But the quality (finishing, comfort, etc.), and quality to price ratio is VERY OBVIOUSLY inferior to "entry level" Swiss. I have two Hamiltons, a lovely Steinhart Ocean GMT, and a few Glycines - an Airman GMT, a beautiful moon phase, and a great Valjoux 7750 powered Chrono. I only buy new watches, and all the aforementioned watches were cheaper than the Yema (yes, I got great deals on them). All of them are better quality. I am not even talking about reliability and customer service. I believe Yema is not hiding the fact that actual manufacturing is happening outside of France (meaning Asia, probably). I think (correct me if I am wrong) the design, assembly, and (lousy) quality control is done in France, but everything else is sourced from outside - from Asia.
Yema is really a brand of contradictions as far as I'm concerned. There is room for improvement but the biggest one might not even be their customer service but their pricing. The Navygraf GMT from the Marine Nationale limited edition is below average on almost everything but the looks. Yes it is discreet enough but mine just loss it's head quickly when it comes to time, appaling time gaps, barely acceptable light at night. That watch might be worth 500 at most. But there is no way this is worth 1000 on a market where Seiko, Casio or even Hamilton can get the job done faaar much better and cheaper (among really too many others). Nice little watch, I'm not really giving it much flattery though. I wouldn't sell it because I find it nice enough even if it requires some customer service but for a military watch, that's a big no for me. I would never go on anything requiring precision and performance with a watch like that.
Never again a Yema for me. There was a spot on the minute hand of the Superman that I bought. And your experience of having to wait several weeks (11:39) for a new bracelet is just unacceptable imo. My advice is to never buy a Yema.
Right off the bat - at 45 secs in I can see that the GMT hand is off! With the minute hour at 12, the GMT hand should be pointing directly to an hour marker. Not in between. Rough enough is not accurate enough for this sort of money. I then watched your entire video expecting this to be the QC issue that you would refer to but was rather surprised that this important flaw was not mentioned. Another thing is that at 300M this piece is in Dive Watch territory so was rather intrigued to see that the second hand is not lumed which is pretty important for a dive watch. It is indeed a nice looking piece but for me the GMT function has to be accurate.
Nope. Very nice but far too expensive. No matter what circumstances I wouldn't walk around with more than about £400 on my wrist. Give me a Rolex and I would sell it and get a better car. Don't get me wrong, I love watches, but that love has an upper limit.
Thanks for your integrity in providing the honest review! Congratulations on your grail watch! It is indeed a beautiful piece!

Couple of takeaways here:
1) THERE ARE FRENCH ASTRONAUTS?!
2) That lume shot by the fire! Freaking. Love it!

The legibility of the watch is fantastic. The blue and white combination is my favorite.
Thanks Dave. You always have awesome vlog about affordable watches. Love your show and thanks for the info that I used to choose what I want to buy.
Excellent review Dave. Because of your previous reviews on Yema. I learned about the brand. Fell in love wit their watches. Just purchased a Yema superman heritage, still waiting for my watch to arrive. Hopefully all goes well with mine.
My only issue with yema is the name translates to Egg Yolk in Spanish. It might be silly but, I can’t look down at my watch and think …. Yolk!
😂😂😂
Great point!
Lol.. it reminds me of another watch brand. Ming. If something is Ming, it means smelly or ugly in Ireland.....even worse than your egg yolk!🤣
@@brianmsahin
Yeah! We have mingers/Ming as here in Australia.
I hadn't made the connection!
They make great looking watches. If they could upgrade the lume even more and fix the quality control issues, I’d buy one.
I have a few Yema and I love this watch (#626/1000). As a collector is has some really great features.
It's great! Good vid. Keep at it!
Great looking watch with a solid history. These QC issues maybe part of growing pains.
Good looking watch. Enjoying my Superman and have no issues with Yema.
I haven’t owned a Yema but would like too. My current every day watch is a Glycine Combat Sub ‘11. Have you looked at Glycine?
I really like your intro/music, it's cool. Thank you for the review!
Would love to add a Speedgraf to my collection, but given their appalling reputation that's not gonna happen anytime soon.
I love my new GMT in the collection! Looking for my 3rd Yema....;-)
One of the reasons I bought the rallygraf with Seiko movement. And it was cheap so easy to risk the money.
@@frankdux5693
Yeah, I really dig their chronographs.
Hey mate, well said! 👍
@@AlexanderB.
Hey Bud! Very kind. Thank-you.
That is gorgeous. I really half to look at Yema at some point. Glad to hear everything worked out.
I had a very good experience with recent purchases but as a collector of vintage watches my old Yema's all have quirks, like obvious QC fails to the point I was wondering if they were "fakes". I guess it's part of the brand legacy & history 😂
Still lovable products.
Great looking watch with attractive specs. I'm not too familiar with Yema as a brand, so I have no opinion either way.
But the love for the watch, even when all the reasons I bought it for are still there and are still very relevant for me, the love is not there.
for me it’s that they have only one case design for all of their divers. every week they release a new watch, same case.
Hi can you also review the Yema Classic YEAU 017 ?
The Yema is really nice but for that money I’d rather have a Sinn 556
Got a 556i. Never handled or even seen a yema in person but i love this thing. Super sick, the dial is magical in how slick and black it is.
Is a Sinn only a grand, looking on Chrono right now....
Bloody hell, its not a gmt mind....
Since this review, I hope Yema has addressed its customer service issues with some time passing. I hope so as I really like nearly all their designs and the excellent value of their watches. I really like this NavyGraf design.
nope still the same they dont care. i have to say the people on the chat are always very nice.
th-cam.com/video/BZG3lPvrVng/w-d-xo.html
well your experience definitely deterred me from buying a watch from Yema.
I love your channel.
This is my favourite watch channel and has been from the first review I saw.
Yema seems like an intriguing brand with the design but the QC is worrisome especially with international shipping.
Every comments section in every review innit?
@@jamesblonde2271 What do you mean?
Congrats.
Beautiful watch
These watches are fantastic looking, but all I hear about is QC issues and terrible customer service, they still lookamazing though, especially this one, white lume and a diving gmt, perfect for a travelling scuba dude like me. A affordable gmt is on my list but the Merker at halfthe price looks good too, or try and find a pre owned seiko land prospex, but thats ugly.
I think Yema has a very identifiable design signature. I am not convinced by the value, and the QC issues at this price point are so commonly experienced that I would not be prepared to take a chance on them. Shame really.
Is this considered a dive watch and used by MN personnel in diving missions?
Dave - any idea why this watch is no longer on their website? Did they permanently discontinue it? Really like the review.
It was a limited edition, so they may have sold out. I'm sure at some point they'll get around to doing another navygraf GMT!
Check out the various models of the Glycine Airman. I have a DC-4 which I LOVE.
Is there a GMT that does half hour increments?
watch looks really sweet ^^
Great specs!
It's a beautiful piece, but the price is a little bit too high.
First and foremost, congratulations! I think yema should price itself accordingly as its definitely not value for money...they place too much on heritage and exterior design - not sure how long they can keep up the facade ..
Great video,
I own the navygraf GMT and frankly for a brand experiencing a resurgence and trying to push the envelope as quickly as they are I would think QC issues would be expected... I frankly love their uniqueness and I take the rough with the smooth ,they do always rectify any issues as far as I have heard as numerous as they may be.
Rolexes and Omegas "ship" with defects too btw give this brand a chance they are clearly growing and have a strategy and you know they look good....p.s they look just as good in rl
I also own the Yema Bronze yatchingraf and blue tarmac rallygraf all perfect and absolutely no issues...........yet.
Customer service can KILL a brand for me. Christopher Ward actually is an excellent example of this for me, great watches but QA and customer service are a failing. Zelos customer service though... Damn good. Horror stories of Yema customer service is enough to turn me off to be honest
This is too true!
yema drops the ball
I found the music in this video overwhelmed the audio/speech.
For that price, I'd go for an SPB143 all day every day.
And I bought it:)
Can recommend it to anyone!
Finally a Seiko with all the features I wanted: sapphire, milled clasp, steel chapter ring, great bezel… The only thing missing are the screwed links.
Imo it can compete with a Tudor on quality and specs.
Is your bezel misaligned
It's a friction bezel so it can always be perfectly aligned.
I find a date complication very overrated. It distorts the design and it is usually hard to read. I prefer no-dates.
this might be just me but this is my experience with Yema and i own 5 of them.
Yema can kiss my limited edition.
I can't stop thinking they totally missed the colors. Blue & orange (vintage) and black & white would have looked much better 😂
Anyway, cool watch! Not my cup of tea, as I don't need a gmt piece, but cool, nevertheless.
PS: what's the point of the rotating bezel if the gmt hand is a true gmt?
1049 dollar? Affordable...?
Leave my favourite watch to the kids? Are you mad sir? Let it grace your wrist in the afterlife. Be the envy of angels everywhere...
Grail? 🤔
I just recently got the Superman Air Force.
Le service client français est un oxymore.
Their QC and customer service recovery is absolute trash. Never ever supporting. Beware big time.
It is indeed a nice looking piece but for me the GMT function has to be accurate.
you’re saying the gmt hand jumps at the hour and doesn’t travel with the local time?

Give me a Rolex and I would sell it and get a better car. Don't get me wrong, I love watches, but that love has an upper limit.
Not a true GMT as can’t set the hour hand independently. Pass for me
Congrats on becoming a fathar
QC issues? It's a Seiko homage.
Way too much
Too much info on this watch, don't like it
It’s french it’s always going to be a bit poor quality. That said, I own two that I have had no issues.
I would also add they feel like about a $400 watch, which is about what I paid for each of the two. Full price was about $800.
They look ok. But their aftersales and qc sucks. Better buy some low maintenance gold and pass that down.
