Squatters are generally handled by the LGU and/or DSWD. So I guess whenever they feel the need to do so. I remember one time the mmda were assigned to deal with an 8888 complaint about squatters or IFS that had suddenly built a row of makeshift houses in a residential street. The barangay chairman was asking the team not to do anything until after a certain date, because she needed those squatters to be there during a certain decision making process 🙄

The DILG were there during this operation in Manila CIty. The MMDA were asking them if the City are really allowed to turn the bicycle lanes into paid parking. They regularly give reports and complaints to the DILG. But ultimately it's down to the DILG what action will be taken.

Yes, that's why I pointed it out. The bike is overloaded and the kids don't have helmets. Potentially it could even fall under the Childrens Safety on Motorcycle act of 2015.
