When this plane was introduced it quickly became one of my most hated things to fly... Years later I gave it another shot and it's actually kinda fun and has most certainly grown on me. Is there a vehicle that you hated when you were first introduced to it and ultimately grew to love playing?
probably the XP-50. at first I thought it was horrid as when I flew it as I was getting outperformed by japanese aircraft constantly. Then I figured out how to energy fight instead of turn fight and now I love it.
While this video may have been difficult to make since that plane isn't the easiest to fly, we sure do appreciate your effort! You and the gang just keep bringing out great content and it is truly appreciated!
It baffles me that the Fairchild F611 Brigand, a beast of a fictional plane from Crimson Skies, armed to the teeth with cannons, bombs, rockets, and a rear turret... is influenced by this little bastard, a tiny thing with nothing to its name but a few ShKAS and a couple small bombs.
The average adventures of Bo and friends, one second flying, the next trying to get a ride and then flat spinning into the ground. So all in all the average day.
That aircraft sort of reminds me of a knock off version of the British built Defiant. The Defiant was actually quite successful (especially when it first saw combat) as many fighters dived onto its tail thinking it was a hurricane or some other form of single engined fighter and didn’t realise it had a turret until it was too late. It sort of seems to be the same sort of trap, but just simply rubbish due to war thunder gunners. Really wish war thunder would add the defiant as a non-premium.
Bite your tongue. The Defiant was dangerous to German fighters for about a week. It had an additional week of usefulness against some of the slower Luftwaffe bombers. Then they tried it as ground controlled night fighter. 😵💫 If the stupid thing had even a pair .303 MG fired by the pilot it might have almost been worth the waste of money and lives it cost.
@@daniel_f4050 They probably thought that if they gave the pilot guns, he'd be trying to dogfight and the turret would be useless. So they might as well have built a Hurricane.
@@daniel_f4050 oh I never said it became a roaring success for a prolonged period of time, I said at first it had success and then mainly due to the element of surprise. To be fair to it though it did find some success as a first gen night fighter and a sort of testbed for some early forms of airborne radar (if I remember correctly). That’s not to say it was an aircraft that was critical to the war effort, simply that it served a purpose and served it well, or at least as well as it was able and it is a quirky aircraft that reminds me of the one he is flying.
Anyone else notice that Bo frequently uses his squad mates as bait? Like he flew right to the enemy the closest enemy asked them to commit then turned back. He does it almost every video....... Content baby!
I love event vehicles like these, they may not be competitive, but they're so unique and don't see them often enough that it makes them pretty cool to have.

Even having seen the preview of this in a stream you did Bo, I still have no idea what I'm looking at. lol also, I'd be dumbfounded if I saw a message saying "Crash: you hit a pidgon" pop onto the screen after dying. what I'd like to see is a video on the history of this plane now.
And he told us it couldn't be done after shooting down five (or was that six) on stream and pulling out some good kills again in videos. Never loose faith in soviet engineering and russian bias !

Agh too bad, I'd love to watch u try to role back to base on the ground (on wheels). The road of the bridge u flew under would took u back to the AF. And if u want a "piggyback ride" try to use jets. I wonder if u could land a heli on a TB-3 tough.

1V-4N-series droids are known to be rather quirky when their internal ethanol storage runs low. You may need to refill more frequently.
