I am the only owner for my 2014 Fiat 500L which was purchased new February 2014. Currently have 150,000 miles with very few issues over the years. I have 6-speed manual and have gone light off roading and camping with my sons when they were in Scouts. Just do the maintenance, drive reasonably, and it will take care of you and your family.

just bought one 3 days ago - nov 2015 trekking 1.3 diesel, just drove it back to Italy, at 70mph on the UK motorways it did 61.2mpg and on the french toll roads at 82mph it returned 59.6mpg, great car for the money

MUCH vehicles to choose from? Come on! MANY vehicles to choose from! Other than that good, honest, factual review. I own a 2014 500L Trekking bought new and the only thing I dislike are the almost constant little correction with the steering wheel when driving on the highway. In the 10 years of my ownership I never had any problems or issues! I just love it.

I have a 500L trekking full options with a 1.6 diesel engine, stage 1 with 150 horsepower and 330 Nm. it is an extraordinary car with which I give class to other drivers who disrespect me on the road. on snow it is a pleasure to drive it. from the factory it came equipped with winter tires and if you change them, it no longer has grip and when braking, the ABS comes on immediately. my car in Romania is unique, it had individual approval

thanks for a fair review, so many simply discount FIAT. I have this car, a 2014 in the Trekking version. Has served me well for almost 9 years. Very reliable (dispite the bias), fun to drive, practical, roomy. Plan to keep it for as long as possible. I don't this this car shares a platform with the 500x and Jeep Renegade.

Great review! I'm about to purchase a 2019 Fiat 500L. I didn't have it in mind at all but was shown it at the dealership. At first I wasn't sure; I thought it wasn't quite my style, but, I found I couldn't stop thinking about it that night and slowly fell in love LOL! I had to have it! I love its quirkiness, love the interior space and it feels safe. I think it's really stylish and here in the UK, so many new cars are looking the same with their space age exteriors. This looks and feels classic and I really can't wait to pick it up on Thursday!

I got a 2016 Trekking Fiat 500L that I bought to rent out on Turo. I don't know what it is about the car but it's fun as hell to drive. I never thought I was going to like a Fiat anytime within my lifetime.

The driver's side windshield wiper arm was probably installed incorrectly. All you have to do is unmount the arm and remount rotating it upward slightly.

I bought a 2014 Fiat 500 L trucker brand new. I had been shopping for maybe six months for a new car then saw this on the showroom floor. I took it for a spin and noticed it’s quirks immediately but still fell in love with it.I recently bought a new vehicle and gave my Fiat to my daughter. I sure miss that Fiat.

It is that this is my exact model of car in yellow color and watching your videos I have learned more about mechanics and about my car ... I am ignorant on the subject...I am very grateful ...🤩

@@Yazaiez I've owned mine for about 8 years and I've discovered FIAT stands for: Fix It Again Tomorrow. Quality everywhere, but none of it good. Do yourself a favour, sell before it turns into a moneypit. Get yourself a Toyota.

@MrMamooshka I've had 2 fiats, including my current 2016 500L, and its been nothing but reliable and fun. Same with my 2012 500 Sport. Go ahead and buy one!

I absolutely love mine. I do my own oil changes though. The way mechanics look at my fiat is a mixture of fear and hate. 😂

Hi can some one help me I really it thanks for the review since it’s turbo do I need to use premium fuel and synthetic oil and filter ??

  • @beograd07

have you ever watched the movie Ants? There is the scene where the leaf falls on their path and suddenly they dont know how to follow the path and continue. Then the elderly ant comes over and goes something like this: "Don't panic. Just go arooound the leaf... There you go." Don't thank Fiat for your inability to read the manual before you do your review. When you turn off the ignition but leave the keys in you will have enough time to turn ON the wipers. They will move up a few degrees and stop in that position so you can lift both wipers if you need to.

    • @drivecore2021
      @drivecore2021  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks for pointing that out. However, the joke was that it was easier to lift the one side and not the other, which is a bit odd even for a Fiat... I'll be sure to read the manual more in depth next time.

@@drivecore2021 Forgot to mention your review was otherwise really low in bias which is rare these days. You pointed out some good things and some bad things about the car and I couldn't agree more with you (besides the wiper thing). I have mine from brand new in 2016 and at the time you could get turbo 1.4 only with auto g/box. So I went for natural aspirated 1.4 but with manual shift. Regular oil and filter change and it works like new even today. Mine is EU model and it is Pop Star grade. It has many hidden features if you dont read the manual. I was surprised when I found out auto windows feature. When you leave your car and after you shut the doors you see you forgot to roll up all your windows, just press and hold the lock button on your remote and all the windows will start rolling up. No need to go back to the ignition switch. Also this works in opposite way. You approach your car on a very hot day and if you dont wan immediately to jump into the oven , you press and hold unlock key on your remote and all the windows will roll down. Noting new and shocking but to have this feature in this segment and in 2016 it was a pleasant surprise for me. Also City button on the dash for power steering is so good I wish all the cars have it. When you drive at speeds below 30kph (20mph) with that button on the steering is so light you can park your car with one finger. As you accelerate and if you forgot to turn off this feature (button) it will auto disengage and the steering goes into normal mode. Then when you slow down it will auto engage if the button was left on. So all I really miss on my car is turbo, but it will be much more reliable on a long run .

WOW, Americans just can't contemplate that outside of America, everyone actually knows how to drive, and all but the very old or disabled use automatic transmission. Out of every 100 of these vehicles sold in Europe, about 5 would be automatic.

I'll agree cuz i was very impressed with how many manuals were on the road when i was in Belgium. however saying yall know how to drive is some BS based on what i saw there 😭
