I was learning Pro/E (Creo) long time ago and they asked us to do this. I crashed under the useless Pro/E interface - Workplanes????? Ended up running to Inventor to just finish up. Didn't know about Solidworks back then.

Sir or Madam, I noticed you prefer to draw with surfacing and then thicken to desire thickness for a lot of your video. Is there a specific reason why you chose this method? It seems it would have been much easier to use the standard method of drawing a sketch and extruding it for the side plates. I always though surfacing techniques were best suited for shapes requiring splines and shapes which can no be easily produced with the sketch, extrude or cut technique.

Is it possible to make the lift support rise in small increments with each sucessive pump? I'm having trouble replicating that motion since the assembly would have to stay still while the lever rises and then move again upon loading it.
Great video btw it helped me a lot!

Nice Tutorial, but engineering wise, there are some issues that are missing. Example, the rectangle object you created in the parts that is to be placed in the middle with the screw( you forget). The free metal plates have to have a cylindrical connection with a screw.. etc

    Sir,
I would like a very important advise on the fact that my "Solid Works" has to be run on my laptop......and since it's getting old I am buying a new one.I would like to have your advise that is CPU( say 3.7 vs 4 Ghz) more important over storage( 516 SSD vs 1TB correspondingly).....for "Simulation".Please,I need an advice from an expert like you.
PS:I don't have the option to use a desktop for some reason
s so it has to be a laptop.
