"Screamin' in the Night" was a hit for Krokus along with "Our Love".
Out of all the ACDC Copy bands out there, I have to say that Krokus is by far my favorite.
My late husband liked very few bands because in his opinion no one compared to his beloved AC/DC. When he found Krokus he was hooked, bought every vinyl they had. In all honesty I think this was the closest thing to his favorite band he ever found.
They definitely have a similar sound! I don't think Krokus gets nearly the attention that they deserve.
Screaming in the night, Headhunter, Burning bones, Heatstrokes, Bad boys rag dolls, Midnight Maniac, Our love. Plenty of great songs from Krokus
Exactly! Love the reaction!
They are sooooooo damn good!
A band from switzerland, i have seen them live like 8 times!
They kick A**!
Still rockin after all these years (1975)
It is a band of 6 guys, 3 guitars, one base, one drummer and one hell of a singer!!! (Bon Scott is still alive in him, trust me!)
Amigo viste a krokus 6 veces?? Que envidia te tengo 😂⚡🤘🤘. salud!!!
🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🤘🤘🤘
The first time I heard this on the radio, I thought it was a new ACDC song. No internet back then.
No internet. Those were the best times. Fond memories of no internet.
@@stacey1139 I had to call the radio station to find out the name of the group. By the way, when was the last time you saw a pay phone?
@@chiefsohcahtoa3285 my man I was born in '64 so it has been a while.
@@stacey1139 born in early '65 for me.
@@chiefsohcahtoa3285 my brother from another mother 🙏🤘👊.
I remember back in 1982 when I listen to this song on the radio.
I thougth It was a Bon Scott AC/DC song that I hadn't heard before. And at the end the DJ said they were the swiss band "Krokus". What????
I thought it was a new album following Back in Black with Brian Johnson the first time I heard it back in the day.
Check out their version of Stayed Awake All Night, great song!
And Ballroom blitz! 👍
Yes buddy really good cover of BTO. Alot heavier than the original.
@@garyclark9618 ballroom blitz. Another great cover they did.
@@stacey1139 Actually I'm learning a lot today! I didn't know that Stayed awake all night was a BTO cover.
This is always been my favorite
I saw Krokus in a small movie theatre in Corpus Christi, Texas on the One Vice tour around '82. They sounded like Bon Scott-era AC/DC and put on a great show. They had more success with the follow-up to this album, Headhunters. Check out Screaming in the Night.
Damn I forgot all about Krokus, I forgot how good they were! ❤
Where you been girl?
Keep them in your mind and heart from now on! They're pretty damn good 👍
Yo biz anotha one 👊 yes Krokus is worth checking out. It was said when bon died ac/dc wanted to hire him to sing. But mark wanted to do his own thing. 🤘
Screamin in the night
Krokus was awesome and this tune pays hommage to the AC/DC formula. The singer Marc Storace even auditioned for AC/DC when they were looking for a replacement after Bon Scott's passing.I think they didn't hire Marc because he might have been too similar to Bon in sound and looks....out of respect they went with Brian who was different.Check out Krokus ''midnight maniac','eat the rich' and 'screaming in the night' which are more typical Krokus sounding and not so AC/DC derived.
Hell yeah 💯 Midnight maniac is a real banger!
Classic gem of an album. There’s a song on this album called To The Top. Trust me when I say, this song cannot be played loud enough. The swagger and attitude of it demands maximum volume.
I should add, Mark Starace would have been a great replacement when Bon died. I think he was actually asked but thought Krokus had a lot of promise. I must say, Krokus made some incredible albums.
We all felt like we were in the twilight zone back in the 80s when we realized this song was not a new AC/DC song, LOL !!!!
I KNEW this would blow your mind! Lol
Your not tripping! 😂
Yo biz. Krokus held there own. Check out any jam from headhunters album. Great party album from my younger daze 😎seen them live twice back when they hit the scene. 🤘
I saw Krokus play three times in San Antonio, once they opened up for Def Leppard on the Pyromania tour, which was Def Leppard’s breakthrough album with songs like Rock, rock til you drop. Rock of Ages and Photograph. The next year they co-headlined with Iron Maiden with Saxon the opening act. The last time I saw them they headlined again with Legs Diamond opening and it was a crazy show, as it was their last show of the tour that year in San Antonio, where I grew up. As the lead singer said to the crowd as they did their 3rd encore they loved San Antonio, apparently there were a lot of Krokus fans there.
Krokus was named after a purple flower that grows in Europe. Marc Storace was the 3rd lead singer that started on the 4th album. The flower appeared on the 1st album. The 1st lead singer would die 10 years later from drug addiction. 2nd and 3rd album was the drummer on lead vocals who would step up, but didn't want the job being lead.
Too many people try to compare them to AC/DC but both bands are from the same vintage and developed their sound separately even though the end result does sound similar on some songs much the same way as people compare Within Temptation to Evanescence in more recent times.
Our Love is a great tune.
"Screaming in the Night" sums up 80s rock at it's finest!!
Greetings from Switzerland 🖐😀best Swiss Rockband 🥰
Marc Storace; the lead singer of Krokus, was actually offered to sing for AC/DC right after Bon Scott died. Marc declined; because he was just starting to get some success with Krokus.
Once Bon died their music just wasn't the same so it was a good idea for Marc to stay with Krokus.
You not tripping haha
👍😁🤯
Who remembers RATE A RECORD from american band stand?
Biz reminds me of it. 😊
Way underrated metal band.
I've heard of this group before, but never listened to any of their songs. I feel the same way you do. They sound exactly like ACDC. At least this song does
Listen to some more, they're worth it. Plenty of great suggestions in the comments!
Great album !! Love some Krokus
Eat the rich, the first song i heard fron them..
There has been a rumor since forever that the singer of this band was offered the AC/DC job after Bon died. Only slightly true. Someone tried to get Marc to try out for AC/DC which he did not
I could introduce you to 10 bands that sound like AC/DC. Just enjoy the music.
Rock and Roll buddy.
Dirty Looks and Rhino Bucket
Krokus ACDC on a Higher Level
Certainly not my favorite Krokus song, but the first one I ever heard which drew me in
But you know people nothing beat Goddo in the seventies.🎸🎻.
Your very smart soon as you mentioned AC/DC. You get it. AC/DC. Best ever. Period!!!!!!!!!!
When they first came out I thought the story of Bon dying was a lie.
It's too bad there isn't a live version of this song that is of good quality.
What up Brother? Appreciate your comments about the band Krokus. I had the pleasure of working with them back in the 80s. There are some songs that could remind you of an
AC/DC song or an AC/DC song that reminds you of a Krokus song. The point is Marc Storace with Krokus has a much better voice with extremely better range than AC/DC singers. Plus my friend AC/DC could never songs like Bedside Radio. Screaming in the Night, Tokyo Nights, Eat the Rich, Midnight Maniac, Easy Rocker, Fire and on and on. The band's been together for 50 years and still have a strong presence in Europe. Explore the catalog my friend! Rock..
to be honest mark storace the singer of this band krokus was gonna be the singer of AC/DC after bon scott died, but they decided to find a singer that was not like bon scott witch is why they had brian johnson instead, in 2016 days after brian lost his hearing i saw a internet media stating that mark was going to take over for brian to finish off there rick or bust tour, but axl rose from guns n roses came in because he's popular and mark from krokus are nobody's witch stinks
Krokus means desert flower
Headhunter is a great Krokus album.
First time I heard this back in the 80s I thought it was AC/DC
Smelly Nelly got to be next.
Check out some of their newer albums they got a different song style !! Try it
The lead singer sounds a little bit like Bon Scott don't it
This should be in GTA VI.
I call it the song ACDC never wrote :D
It's been called the greatest song AC/DC never wrote.
They claim they came out first and have been arguing that most they're caree
This is probably my least favorite Krokus tune.
Really Dan. Very disappointed in you. Very disappointed.
@@stacey1139Somebody's on the naughty list! Sorry Dan,you must attone 😁
Sorry. I love Krokus, but this song is shit on so many levels.
Mark Storace--the lead singer of Krokus--was actually auditioed by AC/DC after Bon Scott's death. Here's the wikipedia link. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Storace
Meh, noise, yawn ...
Laura it's not Justin beaver. This is rocknroll baby 🎸🎸🎸.
@@stacey1139😁👍🎶🎶😎
Come on feel the noise! Girls, rock your boys. We'll get wild wild wild! 😎
@@garyclark9618 garyclark have you heard of Goddo?
@@stacey1139 Actually I had not. I just listened to So walk on. Pretty hard sound! Anything from them you recommend?
You should check out their cover of Ballroom blitz originally by Sweet. Along with Screaming in the night and Our love, which I see has been recommended by others.
