  • Agatha Harkness: The Witch Who Stole the Show in WandaVision
In the quiet town of Westview, amidst all the chaos, reality-warping powers, and nostalgic sitcom vibes, one character absolutely stole the spotlight-Agatha Harkness. With her razor-sharp wit, mischievous charm, and a sprinkle of devious magic, Agatha became the unforgettable villain we never knew we needed.
In this video, we dive into Agatha’s incredible journey throughout WandaVision, from her role as the quirky, nosy neighbour to her dramatic reveal as a powerful witch pulling the strings behind the scenes. Join us as we recap her show-stealing moments, breaking down each key scene and analysing why Agatha became an instant fan favourite.

The Nosy Neighbour: Agnes, the Perfect Sitcom Character
“When Wanda Maximoff crafted her perfect sitcom world in Westview, Agatha (or should we say, Agnes) fit in flawlessly as the quirky neighbour.”
We’ll look at how Agatha’s character effortlessly transitioned through various sitcom eras, delivering laugh-out-loud moments while dropping subtle hints that she wasn’t just an ordinary Westview resident. From her hilarious one-liners to those suspicious glances, it was clear from the start-Agnes was hiding something big.
    ---
The Suspicion Builds: Is She More Than a Neighbour?
As the series progressed, Agnes’ quirky behaviour raised eyebrows. Her impeccable timing, constant appearances, and odd reactions hinted at a deeper mystery. Who exactly was she? We explore the moment when Vision starts piecing things together, questioning whether Agnes is truly another victim of Wanda’s control-or if she’s pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Agatha All Along: The Big Reveal
And then came the moment. In Episode 7, Agnes reveals her true identity in the most memorable way possible-it’s Agatha Harkness, the powerful witch who’s been manipulating events all along. We break down this epic reveal, including the now-iconic "Agatha All Along" theme song that took the internet by storm. From killing Sparky to sending a fake Pietro to toy with Wanda’s emotions, Agatha had been the mastermind from the start.
    ---
Agatha’s Dark Origins: Flashback to Salem
In Episode 8, we travel back to Salem, 1693, where Agatha faces judgment for practising dark magic. Instead of being punished, Agatha turns the tables on her coven, absorbing their power and becoming even more dangerous. This origin story sheds light on her dark magic and sets the stage for her intense confrontation with Wanda in the final episodes.
    ---
The Final Battle: Scarlet Witch vs Agatha
In the thrilling finale, Agatha goes head-to-head with Wanda, trying to steal her chaos magic. We’ll analyse the epic showdown between the two witches, from Agatha freeing Westview’s residents to Wanda outsmarting her with clever use of runes. Agatha’s attempts to overpower Wanda are ultimately thwarted, leaving her trapped in the role of her sitcom alter ego, “Agnes.”
    ---
    What’s Next for Agatha Harkness?
Although WandaVision wrapped up Agatha’s story in a satisfying way, we know it’s not the last we’ll see of her. With the upcoming series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, it’s clear Marvel has big plans for this iconic witch. What role will she play in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? We’ll have to wait and see, but one thing’s for sure-there’s plenty more magic to come.

Initially I had the same thoughts but loved her before the reveal and now just treat her as a different character. Still love the comic book version as well . See my comic book video here

@@kaptainuke I can see what your saying, I agree it is like a different person, but what makes me made how marvel changed her for nothing they could have made up a new person, why use s person that helped trained and was the FF nanny, makes no sense to turn her bad for dumb comedy reason, they should never even called her Agatha and said she was some other billion character from marvel, marvel made no sense in this dramatic change to a great character. I feel you in the end she is complete different. forever love the original comic version, and now eve after the dumb series vision they changed the comic to fit with it. Disappointed with marvel as always changing for the worse. Thanks for the link friend.

After reading your reply I agree that it should have been another person. TBH how many viewers even know who Agatha is? I suppose if they wanted to make a series they would have to justify it being a character from the comics and not just make one up. Although they have made up some new characters for Agatha All Along and Harley Quinn and King Tut both started as TV characters

@@kaptainuke I totally agree there are lots of brand new characters, so why use a good one and change her so much that it does not make any sense for a storyline. Then to take Wanda story and turn it in to agatha's story and then use other characters for her storyline that make no sense marvel is doing a lot of dumb stuff. Agatha series has people that make no sense and one again changed for no reason.
