Beautiful vlog! I was born on a pig farm in Ohio and I love farm life! My wife and I both recently retired from careers in education. We both started as special education teachers and I became a principal. We are now going to be moving from the suburbs to a smaller farm (10 acres) and will be new old homesteaders! Oh my! What a wonderful experience watching the live births! Thank you so much for sharing Claire. I believe one must always be prepared for any emergency during any birth. There could be unforeseen circumstances that can be life-threatening to Mama or kid. Claire, you know your goats and you know what to do. The goats know you and trust you. I've never seen a baby goat look like they enjoy being licked by their mamma like the baby without the spots. It's little tail a-waggin away, just standing there. They so adorable! I'm a home private caregiver I get scolded alot on the glove use..8 mastered hand cleanliness an no it well before an after ..there's times u can't have time to glove an alot times u can't do what u need with slipary gloves or feel properly.. I get u
Hey Clair the wool you pull from your goats can be spun into yarn . ;) I spin my goats undercoat into yarn. It is nice to crochet and weave. Should be good to knit too. Just thought I'd let you know. If you keep it there has to be a spinner close by that would love to make you yarn or would buy it from you. I know it isn't cashmere however it is lovely fiber. Congratulations on the babies they are stunning. Claire you are by far NOT annoying. Extremely excited and proud of your girls. Nothing wrong with the way you take care of your herd.
