- This video shows a walkaround and review of the all new 10th generation Honda Civic Coupe with the Turbo Engine. The EX-T is the first trim to offer the turbo engine and features a 1.5 Liter Turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. The 2.0 i-VTEC is available in the two lowest trim levels. This has a CVT transmission that is also different from the CVT offered in the 2.0 engine. The car has two tone cloth interior with a large infotainment screen. Remote start, power sunroof and key less entry. Also comes standard with back up camera and blind spot camera. Very nice car priced at $23K. A huge improvement over the last generation Civic. I was very impressed with the car, and it did not seem like an entry level vehicle

I ended up getting this color and this trim. First new car in 10 years. Your vid helped because in the bright sun that color looks sooooo good. Put a spoiler on it and it looks so good in person.
I bought a '95 Civic coupé EX. Very nice car. However, since then until this 2016 version, to me, they all looked about the same. Honda Civic changed little . . . until now. I love the looks of the new one and am thinking, hard, about buying one.

Is Honda sensing available on all civic coupe trims just like the sedan? I went to the Honda's website and I could not find Honda Sensing package on the coupe lower trims such as LX and LX-P. It Seems that Honds sensing package is reserved only for the highest trim Coupe Touring. Could you please confirm this?

Can you compare this Civic Coupe with the Genesis Coupe, either yours or a 2013+ model?
I'm having a hard time deciding between getting this or a used 2.0T GenCoupe, which I've always loved and wanted.
There really is no comparison between the two cars lol. The new Civic Coupe is definitely a great sporty looking coupe. But the Genesis coupe, especially being RWD is a true sports car that you can do much more Enthusiast driving with. It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If MPG is high on the priority list and performance driving isnt, the civic will be better. If you want to have a lot more fun in the mountains or on some fun roads and still get decent gas mileage get the Genesis Coupe. People still ask me what kind of car I drive and ask if it's an Aston Martin. The Genesis is on a whole different level.
+Honda4RideRed I do take MPG into consideration, but it's not #1 on my priority list. I mostly want something sporty, fun to drive, looks amazing, has more hp than my current but still gets decent mpg, reliable, and a coupe since I mostly drive by myself but CAN seat 4 if I have to.
I like that the Civic Coupe has a backup & lane cam which the Genesis Coupe lacks. But the huge knock against it for me is that it has a CVT. (I don't know why Canada at least gets paddle shifters while the US ver. doesn't.) The Genny makes up for the lack of tech found on the Civic with a lot more power, sounds better, more uncommon, gets mistaken for an Aston, and costing less for a used '13 or '14 model.
So I guess the major question I have is, does the presence of the CVT kill the enjoyment factor enough that you would not choose the Civic Coupe over the Genesis Coupe?
+Ezero8 I think so. CVT's are really not meant for the enthusiast driver. The turbo civic is great for what it is, but not only does the Genesis have gears, it's rear wheel drive. When I bought my Genesis, the original plan was to trade my 07 tC for a brand new one ($22k). Instead, I bout a 1 year old Genesis for the same price. I think if you are at all a car enthusiast and you want something special go for the Gen!

It doesn't let you get above 2rpm, throttles everything down including ac, and turns down the brightness of all the displays. It conserves energy for the battery and helps with gas mileage

I have the exact same car, I never go one day without someone complimenting it.... CVT kinda suck, but it's ok in sport mode with the paddle shifters. Remote start in the winter is nice. Coil overs, Injen air intake, Hondata flash, 19's = nice daily driver. Smokes a 9th gen SI to all you CVT haters... I have the optional wing too, it's a must, ass end looks ugly without.
I really wanted this color when I was finally able to get a 10th gen. I ended up with my next favorite though. Lunar silver. 2019 coupe ex-t. Bought it 2 years ago, with 10,000 miles on it. Now at 50,000!!! Yes...I do a ton of driving. As for mpg I once got almost 48 mpg over a 300 mile drive.

What's the ground clearance? Is it the same as the 4 door? I don't like it to be too low to the ground, my speed bumps are like mountains.

The Turbo has a large amount of boost...& wow it's expensive. CVT & Turbo Civics seem overpriced.
I'd Prefer An Accord Sport Sedan with the 2.4 CVT & a couple less features, in my opinion may be a better value.
I'd at least shop the Accord Sport & see if you can negotiate a better deal.
+Michael C. Thanks! I like the turbo in the civic because it gives it a good amount of power. And they now do have tons of features that has driven the price up. For me, It's impossible to justify spending $28k on this new civic coupe when I spent $23k on my 1 year old Genesis Coupe a few years ago. There are sooo many used cars that are 'premium' vehicles for less than the civic.

With 16lbs of turbo boost I wonder if it will last as long as a 2.4 liter engine. I'm sure the Turbo is fun to drive.
My favorite Honda now is the Accord mid trim Hybrid...until the S2000 might be replaced.

You'd be surprised, I sure was when I drove it for the first time. Little bit of "turbo lag" but this thing has got quite a bit of pep to it. Pretty fun car to drive honestly
