I like the superheavy samurai archetype, but I honestly don't like the fact that now everyone will use it to get these monotonous endboards. I mean, what is the point of having these decks that always do the same thing? Just like Mannadium now. I think that the game is becoming every month more boring. Nothing new, always the same things and the same boss monsters to face. It's a real pity that a format like the legend anthology is used rarely trough the year. In that case we see so many different decks and combos, which is whay yu gi oh has always been about, especially in the manga and tv shows. Such a shame!
dont worry man, there are still people like me who enjoy the game by playing many non meta decks. And it's always fun for me because i go beyond my limits by building a rogue deck that can actually give a good challenge. With these new supports im gonna build a fucking SUPERHEAVY SAMURAI, and Gong Strong will be fucking proud
You realise both of those decks lose to Maxx c, droll, and dark ruler no more, right? That's the meta game. You predict what people play and play something that doesn't lose to those strats while also playing staples that counter the meta. Then the meta shifts. What master duel is seemingly doing by limiting cards rather than banning them is they're trying to create a natural meta rotation rather than forcing them via banlists making decks unplayable.
Ive been playing this deck as pure Super Heavies. Really funny going full combo into 2 pratically useless big defense level 12s i can almost feel the opponent's confusion lol.
