    Zach & Travis, Thanks for these videos. The leaves are for the healing of the nations is exactly what we are now supposed to do. Gal 5 lists the fruit of the Spirit and works of the flesh. What a perfect dichotomy of where we are in history. If Doug claims that you guys preach we have no purpose if His enemies are already defeated, then he doesn't fully understand the NH, NE, and the city with the stream of living water running though it. Have either of you done a study on the significance, if any, of the use of thanatos (which was literally the name of the Greek god of death) versus nekron for 'death'? Thanatos is used in 1 Cor 15.

      1 Timothy 4:13 and Hebrews 1:13(quoting psalm 110) use the same word “heos” for until. When Paul told Timothy that he should give heed to the public reading of scripture “until” he got there, that didn’t mean they would no longer give heed to public reading after he arrived.

      @@zachdavis3882 Great, thank you. Seem like it needs to be worked out some more for a better understanding. The word 'until' typically means a defined end point. 'A' happened until 'B' happened. Once 'B' happened, 'A' ceased. Or 'On sale until tomorrow', meaning tomorrow it will no longer be on sale.

    Isa 65:23-25 ISV 23 They won’t toil in vain nor bear children doomed to misfortune, for they will be offspring blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them. 24 Before they call, I will answer, while they are still speaking, I’ll hear. 25 “The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; but as for the serpent- its food will be dust! They won’t harm or destroy on my entire holy mountain,” says the LORD.
    They won't toil in vain
    Gen 3:17 ISV He told the man, “Because you have listened to what your wife said, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground because of you. You’ll eat from it through pain-filled labor for the rest of your life.
    Pain filled labour or toil
    As for the serpent its food will be dust
    Gen 3:14 ISV The LORD God told the Shining One, “Because you have done this, you are more cursed than all the livestock, and more than all the earth’s animals, You’ll crawl on your belly and eat dust as long as you live.
    Isaiah is pulling from Genesis
    “The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox;
    Animals ? Noahs arc the animals are led into the ark
    Isa 11:6-9 ISV 6 “The wolf will live with the lamb; the leopard will lie down with the young goat. The calf and the lion will graze together, and a little child will lead them. 7 The cow and the bear will graze, and their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child will play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child will put his hand on vipers’ dens. 9 They will neither harm nor destroy on my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

    Ethnos has an Abrahamic connection.
    Were there Nations or Ethnos in Canaan?
    7, I believe that is identified.
    Paul tells you how many nations were the 7 who God disposed
    Acts 13:16-19
    Abraham and Sarah were to be parents to many nations, or if you prefer ethnos.
    Check your Septuigent in Genesis 17, 4 verses.
    I think the ethnos are the joining of the two sticks Ephraim and Judah.
    12 tribes or 12 ethnos.
    Also to look at Kosmos or World you might consider John 15:18-16:4.
    Trace the word "world" and its nearest antecedents. You will learn that "World" is identified in verses 15:24-25.
    Those who have the Law are the World.
    Hmmm
    Now who would that be.
    Good work Zach and Travis.

    Let’s talk about the wilderness and its purpose, so we can establish it is not synonymous with Rev 20 and the 1000 yr reign
    The purpose for the wilderness period was to kill off the generation that disobeyed God by not entering to fight for the promised land in Numbers 14:22-25. Caleb and Joshua were the only ones to enter along with the children who knew neither good nor evil in Deut 1:34-40. Also Joshua and not Moses was allowed to lead the charge and circumcise the generation that would enter. Joshua 5:2-9.
    That’s the same purpose the wilderness period served in the time of 30-70 AD. The wicked and adulterous generation would not be able to enter. Only those that went through the fire and were purified would be allowed. Zechariah 13:7-9 Malachi 3 Acts 2-39-41. Peter said be saved from this wicked generation, just like the wilderness period with Moses.
    Paul In Phill 3:3 says we are the true circumcision, meaning all who were Baptized into Christ would get to enter Canaan(1000 yr ) New Covenant reign of Christ where each generation is blessed by having Christ as the perfect office holder of Priest, King, and Prophet bless them, and not have new and unstable rulers rise up from generation to generation as in the days of the Mosaic Covenant.
    The binding of the strongman next deals with Kings/Kingdoms going to war with one another. Luke 14:31-33. Satan may have been thrown down from his place in heaven regarding priestly aspects and rule, but he hadn’t been bound and defeated until 70 AD. He actively deceived the nations until Jerusalem and the Temple was sacked and his house fully plundered.
    1 Kings 22 and 2 Chronicles 18 are conceptually congruent with 1 John 4:1-6. Prophets were the advisors and overseers of Kings and Priests. They told the King to go to war or not. False prophets advised Ahab to go to war just like false prophets advised Apostate Israel and its rebels to go to war against Rome. God sent them strong delusion in winning the first battle against Cesitus and the Roman legion, giving people a false hope that Jerusalem was a safe stronghold and place to obtain victory. We obviously know Jesus as King delivered the final element of the Mosaic curse by destroying them, thus completing the end of the curse and gathering all new covenant believers to The Father (1 Cor 15:24-25) beginning the 1000 yr reign of blessing to a 1000 generations. Psalm 105:7-11 and Deut 7:9. Hopefully this can help us all see the purpose behind the wilderness period to obtain their Canaan and now ours.

    And there is no away around the fact the death started with Adam and the curse which is done away with in the new heavens and earth is also from Genesis so the covenant death is from Genesis and not the Mosaic law ,ultimately it was in the garden that the problem started and it is resolved in Revelation as it says in Genesis in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth so he must of created a covenant and it passed away in 70ad 😉

    • @duaneking273
      @duaneking273 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct. The approach to God from the Garden on was always through death(animal sacrifice). It was the accepted, normal way of worship for 4000 years until Jesus. Now we approach God through life(Jesus) for all time and God hears any man who calls out to Him. An animal sacrifice today is abhorrent and strange to us. A very dramatic change in worship happened.
      Therefore Death was abolished. It’s all about the approach to God and our relationship.

    The healing were for the nations…as you said fulfilled…upon which nations, the ones preached to. The gentiles, the 10 tribes were being brought together in one body with Jewish converts to Jesus. The tribes of Israel were healed, the same tribes that were lost that were reconciled back into the one body Jeremiah 31 both then Ephraim and Judah made one new man. Those nations were healed, the 12, the nation of Israel. Why do we stop being consistent? The nations of judgement were Israel, then the nations who were healed was Israel, as Isaiah chapter one explains, Israel was the sick body who needed healed. We can’t simply apply these things to whoever we want, this is identifying clearly, the twelve tribe collective of Israel, the ones under the covenant who were being judged at that time by that covenant. We need to remain consistent.

      That would be the same idea as Solomon’s temple being “built” and then worship stopping. That concept isn’t the type laid out in the old testament and doesn’t make sense to full stop it at ad70 to me

    • @betterunderstandingthebibl830
      @betterunderstandingthebibl830 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@zachdavis3882 except this isn’t the old being repeated, this is the final consummation, not a continuation. The first Adam to the last, not the first Adam to another. This is also an inconsistency. Fullpreterism reaches all things fulllied and deny the Jesus covenant. Jesus’s covenant wasn’t to start a new way for the world, it was the old covenant summing up issues. Just as Daniel said, the messiahs covenant was only for a week. Messiah secured a people as was promised in Deuteronomy 32, at the end of Israel. That spiritual kingdom, was the apostles and converts, the 12 nations healed in one body, Then came the end, and those found in Christ were saved and those who were found in Adam perished. That’s it. The bible does not comment beyond that, because the bible was only for that. Making an allusion to Solomons kingdom and saying Jesus fulfilled this, is fine, but extending it past it’s purpose is irresponsible.

    • @zachdavis3882
      @zachdavis3882  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I disagree. The promises were certainly for that generation but they extend to us in the age to come as we are pictured as coming into that temple.
      “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

      @@zachdavis3882 the temple was Jesus, God left Heaven, the temple and came down to earth and tabernacled in Jesus. John 1 and Revelation 21 are the same thing, the new heavens and new earth was God living in Jesus as the new man and the church his body. This was the new Adam, the new creation, just as Jesus was the new man the new creation. These are talking about bodies or groups of people. The sheep and the goat, the tares and the wheat, the new and the old. There were many “new covenants” between God and Israel as adjustments during the time under treaty.
      Don’t forget, the book of revelation is a chiasm, and chapter 1 and 21 are the same thing. The warning of the kingdom coming. The it works it’s way backwards meeting in the middle at chapter 12-13. This is well know, it’s not a secret. Chapter 20 is the establishing of the church, just as chapter 2 is the church body being established.
      The new heavens and new earth without a sea was Jesus…God in Jesus dwelling among men who were His people…the perfect kingdom of God…then came the end.
      The age to come…Yes, Jesus is the name in which God is proclaimed….not to join his kingdom, but because of the message God delivered in Adam, to all humans….no religion, God left heaven to dwell among men, the only age for all ages take place within that age.
