Congrats on the new addition, I have a 5 month old so I feel you on the lack of sleep. It gets better, trust me.
Surely am looking forward to it, but I'm enjoying the moment as well.
I am your loyal fan, congratulation for your new baby. I wish he will be such smart like you
Thank you so much 😀
Thx Lu! I was looking forward for this update
Glad it helped
Hey Lu, thanks for make the video for us, it's perfect how you explain, i am learning english and i understand everything that you say, you help me so much, thanks Lu.
Glad I was able to help!
Hello Lu, thank you for the video.
I have a question. I cant connect to the sharepoint site. I think it is because, if I log in on sharepoint I first get redirected to the Microsoft website and then before I can do anthing I get redirected to my company website site to log in. Is there a way to still acess the Sharepoint site?
I do know what you are taking about, but I will need to do some testing over it. Let me see what I can figure out
Hi,, just have the font larger in next videos,,,we want to make it usefull thanks 😊
Thanks for letting me know. Will make sure it’s larger on upcoming videos
Hey Lu. I love your videos especially as someone transitioning into tech. I was wondering if there was a way to transition from sharepoint to S3. Is that feasible by changing the location of where the file should be dropped to s3? Thank you so much
Glad you like the videos. Are you trying to move SharePoint files over to AWS S3 bucket?
Hi! first of all thank you for your video. I'm new to downloading from sharepoint with pythin and that's awesome what you achieved. But I have a question that is: Can you get the version of the file you are downloading from sharepoint using the same methodology? (like "get_file_version" and comparing it to the one you have stored?) Thank very much!!
Never done this before. Let me do some testing and I will get back to you
@@codingwithlu Hi! First of all, thank you for you video as well. It is very helpful. Have you found solution of the question Ricardo asked? I faced the same issue and would like to download all historical versions of the same files from SharePoint (version-control is on).
Hi Lu,
Is it possible to get to a file sample-excel.xlsx without direct access to Development site?
I think this is pretty common situation when you work for a company and some sharepoint owners don't want to grant you an access to whole site and instead of it they only allow you to access to particular folder which contains a file which in this case is TH-cam and 2020.
Thanks!
So there are some persimmons that can be configured. I believe these persimmons can be set on a folder lever, instead on a site level, but not sure. Let me do some testing and I will let you know
@@codingwithlu Thank you, I would be grateful for any feedback :)
Hello Lu, ia m great to see you again after long time. If possible can you make an video. how can we create a version file for the uploaded file in sharepoint.
By verison file what exactly do you mean? Like upload the same file but rename the file with version suffix name?
@@codingwithlu Not exactly . After a file upload in share point , there will option to create revision of that file to have the history .
Hi Lu,
What if the Outlook account has Two Factor authentication. How to access using the python script. Could you please make the separate video for that.
For 2FA this script will not work. There are some work arounds like creating a specific user with very limited access and that user will no have 2FA setup. I'm doing some testing with another python package and if I have success with 2FA I will make a video over it.
Thank you ❤️🤗
That was excellent, Thanks
Hey Lu. How can I create a folder in SharePoint using python?
it is possible or not ?
Please reply
Yes you can create folders in SharePoint with Python. Are you trying to create folders and that's it? Or create folder and then upload file?
Thank you for the video. This is very helpful. A practical use of a program may be to download from Sharepoint and move it S3 bucket on AWS as a single Python program. Any help in that regard?
I actually built and application that does something similar. I will make a via of downloading from SharePoint and uploading to AWS S3 bucket
@@codingwithlu Thank you, look forward for your upload.
Have asked my sys ADMIN to look into this, but get this exception
Exception: ('Error authenticating against Office 365. Error from Office 365:', 'AADSTS53003: Access has been blocked by Conditional Access policies. The access policy does not allow token issuance.').
Any work arounds to avoid this?
Hi! Could you modify an Excell online in SharePoint?
Are you trying to update the cell values or add/remove rows from Excel?
@@codingwithlu Yes. Is it possible?
Hi Sir, Thanks for this vedio. Is there a way to download the most recent file using this file pattern?
Hi Lu , I am having this issue while running Exception: ('Error authenticating against Office 365. Error from Office 365:', 'AADSTS50126: Error validating credentials due to invalid username or password.') But my username and password is correct in the json file . Can you please help me ?????????
In the json file, make sure to replace the {email} with your actual email. Same goes for {password}. Whatever is in the json file that has "{" and "}" need to be replace with the actual value. Try it out and let me know if that fixed your issue.
Thanks for the video Lu, could you please make a video about getting the SharedLink of a file/folder on SharePoint?
Hi Lu, thanks for the video, is it possible to download all the files from multiple channels of teams?.......... I am thinking of using this script to generate backup copies of all TEAMS Files
it´s not possible, my org uses MFA :(
Yeah, this script will not work with MFA. I'm doing some testing with other packages for MFA and will let you know if I have success.
hey great video , will the same code work in cloud environment ?
I want to run this in AWS databricks
Yes this will work. I do a lot of work in AWS services and as long as the package is installed you shouldn't have any issues.
I am downloading a xlsm file and it gets corrupted. Any Ideas? Someone that has faced the same issue?
Awesome content. What does it mean when I get the following error? Appears to not like the folder_dest.
python project.py "04 Reference Documents - General Access/00 Customer Specification/" "C:\0\" None None
SyntaxError: unterminated string literal (detected at line 1)
So normally when you get an error like this, it may be due to missing a quote or double quote at the end of your text, but based on what I see that you provide for your arguments it looks good. Can you confirm that you variable (credentials, etc.) have proper quotes?
Hey Lu, can you please reply with an example code for With_Access_Token
Lu, amazing videos. Please, make a video abaout connecting with a on-premise Sharepoint!!!! I searched a lot in the Internet and I couldn't resolve my problem. I'm receiving a SSL error. PLEASE, HELP, LUUUU!!!
I’m working on setting up a on-premise instance on one of my servers so once I get that setup I will make a video
@@codingwithlu Amazing. Thank you so much!!!!
Congrats
Thanks
Thanks Lu! Could you make a video on how to upload files directly to a task in Microsoft Planner? Or even better to create a task in Microsoft Planner and associate files with it :)
Can you do With C# download crime sharepoint?
So, the three languages I do code in are Python, JavaScript and C# and I have been thinking about making videos with other languages, but for now, I think I will be focusing only on Python
Thanks for considering the question from previous video,
From the folder.files I can access the ['ServerRelativeUrl'] and append it to domain, but When I use that url to display
from IPython.display import display, Image
display(Image(url=uu))
I'm getting HTTPError: HTTP Error 403: FORBIDDEN
May I know how to show inside python
up! got the same error
Are you using iPython as well?
This may be an issues related to using iPython. I had have some issues in the past using iPython with some packages. I will try to test when i get some time with iPython.
congrts
Thanks
Thank a lot LU. How can i insert a row directly in Excel on Sharepoint? without download/upload(override) the file.
Will you be appending to the end of Excel file?
@@codingwithlu Yes.
can you send the code pls
Great video Lu! Thank you! By any chance could you create a similar video but using Jupyter Notebook?
Glad you liked the video. I will play around with Jupyter and see about making a video
Lou why do you have a bad attitude towards your subscribers? I wrote to you about the request for help, and also wrote my email for communication, but you deleted the comment...
Hey if you message me about any type of help I don't see that I received anything. I do enjoy helping my viewers and not sure what happened if I missed your message. I haven't deleted any comments so not sure which comment you are referring to. I more then happy to hear your issue and I will see what I can do to help you out.
@@codingwithluHi. Sorry.
My previous comment was deleted by the service due to the publication of an email. Because of this, I can't accurately describe my problem and attach screenshots.
If you could write to my email on my channel or write your own on yours, then I would describe everything to you and send screenshots.
P.S. There were three attempts to describe the problem, but TH-cam deleted the message...
Go ahead and email me at contact@iamlu.net and I will take a look and see what I can do to help you out.
@@codingwithlu Hello. Thanks. I sent an email with a detailed description of the problems.
