আবহমান কাল থেকে বাংলাদেশের গ্রাম-গঞ্জের সমাজ বহন করে চলেছে নিজস্ব কিছু সংস্কৃতি, কৃষ্টি এবং প্রথা। সহজ-সরল জীবনধারায় সুখ আর শান্তির অবারিত ভাণ্ডার আছে সেখানে। বিশেষ করে সত্তর, আশি ও নব্বই দশকে সময়গুলো ছিলো সোনালী যুগ। তখনকার অনেককিছুই আজ স্মৃতি। বর্তমান প্রযুক্তির উৎকর্ষতার মধ্যে যে ছেলে-মেয়েরা বেড়ে উঠছে তারা কোনভাবেই ওই সময়কার শৈশবের বিনা পয়সার সেই আনন্দ আর তৃপ্তির গভীরতা বুঝতে পারবে না।
শৈশবের স্মৃতিগুলো মনে পড়লে আজও বুকের মধ্যে খা খা করে ওঠে। মনে হয়- কত বড় সম্পদ হারিয়ে ফেলেছি!
