He thinks we don't need a department of education. Because "sporks, ugly teachers and peanut allergies". Or is it because he doesn't want future generations to learn American history? (Nazis and racist are actually the bad guys.)
I don't hold over the weekend. Sold my longs in the morning, went short and sold my shorts at the end of the day. Up 58.53 percent over the last year and up 8.19 percent for the month of January 2025. Love your videos as it keeps me grounded.
I learn something new every video you post. Thank you so much for taking time to make these videos!!! Wish this was taught in school when I was younger. Every day I feel like I'm so far behind in this game.
I love your style of analysis. Look forward to all of your videos. As a beginner in what seems to be a market not friendly to beginners, it's super helpful to hear an experienced perspective with a focus on high-level concepts and macro, rather than solely day-to-day price action. Thank you very much for the work you're doing.
Thank you for the great insight, perspective and unraveling the “craft” elements (is that deep?) Oh also, 100% your are so correct… definitely read the actual papers. Would have never run across “For the Love of Twizzlets” by Sarah Perry in the WSJ Review section this week. Cheers and Go Birds!
I trade live in the community for hours a day . My goal is to create assassins by providing information and education. I do not want to create mini mes . I hope that helps. Several people in the room now trade very similar to me.
@@AreteTrading i understand that but someone like me working two shifts and have children I don't have too much time to sit with live trading. I hope you think about that 🙏
Great video! I much prefer this volatile market and the mini-heart attack days, and would welcome an even more volatile market - we are getting more proper buying opportunities now!
Do you put any credence to longterm channels? The channel of SPX on a logarithmic chart from the 2009 recession to present shows that we are bumping up against the upper channel again -- which has been a major area of resistance for 15 years (except for the post covid froth).
Atr also goes up as stock value goes up yet still represents the same % move. If meta is up 15% the Atr should also be up around the same percent in the short to mid term
Just a hypothesis, not saying I necessarily believe it, but I’m wondering if maybe that Fed speech was bad on purpose. On one track are all the signs pointing to recession coming. Another track has fears of a stock market bubble pop. If you’re afraid the pop might happen and trigger the recession or vice versa, maybe intentionally letting a little air out of the bubble could be a way of trying to keep those tracks from colliding while you’re in the middle of trying to engineer a soft landing.
What is a “soft landing” but pain spread out over enough time and distance so as not to hurt. Turning a potential pop and rug pull into a couple months of churn and volatility kinda seems like it would fit that philosophy.
Lots of little gems in these videos that you can't find anywhere else. I especially like your insights concerning institutional traders, would like to learn more about the biggest players in the overnight futures session.
this video is a 50 min love letter to META. whether it's deserved or not, traders are still shaken by deepseek and selling down anyone that has huge ai capex.
No one seems to be talking about it. But imo, SPY is in a wycoff distribution phase. And its currently in Phase C, the UTAD just happened last friday. Its possible Phase D starts this coming week going to fill the bottom gap from 589 to 585. Once that gap gets filled, Phase E will begin. Cheets 🎉
Can you also talk more about ATR. What timeframe or lenght is best for investors. For example if you want to buy at a swing low. The ATR value changes on every timeframe so which one to choose?
@@AreteTrading Yes, I think it would be helpfull for alot others as well. For example, if Meta would go down to 680 and not lower than that is there a way to see this low as a possibility with atr on any timeframe? Thank you in advance Arete! :)
@@AreteTrading I have a small account so I’m not in my putting too much on there but yeah, I’ve been making 4 to 600 bucks a week from it I put a little more on it this week. I hope it does it again.

On a few instances you mention long term investor’s and not needing to worry too much in terms of downside. Can you quantify a minimum term that you would classify to identify as being a long term investor. Starting investing this year. Thanks
Swear that after the beat down on Friday I did an hourly on the ES! and saw the last 3 Friday patterns! Remembered a comment you made on the am show about Vix and it's value and light bulb moment. Then watched this vid. Hilarious. I think I'm actually, maybe, trainable. There is hope.

Jerome cut rates because Treasury has to issue more and more short-term t bills just to service the existing debt, which is inflationary in itself. But he can't come out and admit that. That's why he couldn't (wouldn't) explain it.
