Great work, Larry for finding these albums and doing some research on them. I checked out Homo Homini on YT and came up with "Drzewa Ruszaja w Droge" as my 1st pick. I immediately thought of Glen Kelaway because this band contains a banjo player, or at least on this television performance on communist-era Polish TV. As for Bill Carty, he was a stand-up comic in the 1950s and 60s in Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale. Florida
Ralph Sharon was Tony Bennett's pianist for many years. He appears on many of Tony's greatest records. TH-cam has clips from the "Tony Bennett MTV Unplugged" sessions featuring Ralph Sharon.
I bought that Vices album by Kick Axe back in 1985. It's not a bad album. "We all live in our vices... We're indulging tonight.. It's just part of this crazy world we like."
As a musician I don't understand why a singer or a band would make such crappy album covers Larry,to me it's almost an honor that you have an album in the first place so why not make it look good,do these bands actually think these horrors are attractive?,I don't know,maybe they all just have very bad taste,I would rather have a picture of Phil McCracken on my album cover then any of this stuff! The one with the naked Viking looks like it was meant to be like those Molly Hatchet covers, some of which were paintings by Frank Frazetta. Wicked Lady looks like a bridge club gone bad. Rogue Male was a Motorhead ripoff. KickAxe were a pretty good band, especially on their debut, Vices. That album cover, however... Denny Barberio looks like a physical cross between Gino Vannelli and Phil Spector.
2:20 I am familiar with this band that you called DEATH HOG, well the name of the band is Destruction! Out of all the covers you showed I kind of actually like the Ted Nugent cover. There's a few bands I actually like and know about, but yeah, horrible covers! And lastly, holy moly, I have not heard 'I love onions' since I was a kid in the 70's, they played that on the RADIO!!!
The Druids album reminded me of Beavis and Butthead. The ‘Area of Destruction’ Viking pointing the sword will almost certainly have a micro penis. The Currie Brothers turn out be very accomplished accordion players winning all sorts of competitions in Scotland where they were based playing mainly highland dance type music. A really good album cover for highland dance music is probably a bit of a challenge which they decided not to take on.
I do hope you continue this series! How about a 'covers with animals' theme? You could include well known LP's (Atom Heart Mother, Pet Sounds, Naked, Park Life etc.) and put them up against "lesser known LP's". Maybe it's too silly, I don't know...🙂

Others that come to mind are Fly by Night (Rush), Steppenwolf live, For Your Pleasure (Roxy Music) and of course the great Trout Mask Replica, done by Cal Schenkel who also did a lot of the Mothers of Invention/Zappa covers. (He didn't do the weird Them Or Us though...)
To be fair, as someone who likes rap, Drake is certainly not the top of the food chain. There is some good rap out there though. If you liked those jazz rock albums Larry, you might like something like How Much a Dollar Cost by Kendrick Lamar.
Prince album covers is still what i remember the most... it's National festivitiy here in Belgium, our fourth of july...jets flying over etc. Been thinking a lot of the past, like music and albums ( cd for my personal listening history ) and how ANTICIPTION is taken away with streaming an album...i loved buying, looking for albums in the record shops ! Don't you get nostalgic having a long history of loving and buying albums ?
Barry "Eve Of Destruction" McGuire did a CCM album in the late 70s/early 80s after his conversion and made a disco-pop song about his transition to Christianity, "Cosmic Cowboy", which actually was as bizarre as the album cover. His Christian music phase had a few good songs, but this wasn't one of them.
If you really are open to try hip hop music, I would rather suggest Kanye West’s Graduation than anything by Drake, although I guess Drake’s older stuff might be ok. Graduation is much more interesting and it is regarded to be one of the greatest and most groundbreaking album of its genre. Kind of similar to what Sgt Pepper is for rock music, in a weird comparision.

Pantera did three independent generic "hair-metal" albums in the 80's before being signed to a major label in the 90's and becoming what was called groove metal. The only thing worse than their first three 80's releases was the original cover for 'Far Beyond Driven' from 1994.
I'm a casual fan of Drake, his live shows are truly a spectacle to behold, but even I have to admit that a lot of his music is rather lousy. _Certified Loverboy_ (and its cover) is a perfect example of everything wrong with Drake's music. _If You're Reading This It's Too Late_ on the other hand was pretty good for a Canadian rap album.

The best thing about the Svaerder Brothers Quartet is that they are, in fact, a quintet.
