GreekDad 56 Kalinka actually predates the Soviet Union. Kalinka is from the 1860’s. But, that doesn’t mean Tetris doesn’t feature Soviet “Military” songs. Tetris Worlds on the Game Boy Advance has a version of Katyshua. A popular military marching song which even had the BM-13 “Katyshua” named after it.
As it should be allowed, it's not much different then Americans singing their national anthem before each sporting event, or in baseball where God Bless America is sung now even, too (in the United States). It's a bit of patriotism, and if not patriotism, it's their own culture.
