Is the fly tying vise by Colorado or Crown? There's a few out there that look similar. I like the idea of using the same one as yours for painting my blades.
Nice video. When I melt lead, I always do it outside of the house. I made huge and metal vibe by flattening the long fishing lead. For the metal vibe, I cut 3/4 of oval lead and flatten it but make sure there's two holes on the blade for the flatten lead to hold on. Then shape it with a hot soldering iron
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Randy Louie i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I make all sorts of lures and yes it is a heartbreak when you snag on the bottom or up in a tree and can't get it back.. I would rather lose a $10 lure I bought than a $2 lure I made..
hello thanks for sharing I have a cosulta compressor and airbrush use? I have seen some similar that is used for nails and pastry but I do not know if it is the same in my case I want to use automotive paint costs more economical than the special ones for airbrushes
what kind of glue did you use to attach the lead to the metal lure? Im guessing it has to be waterproof LOL :) Important step as you don't want the lead to fall off from a strong fish strike.
John & Evan's Fishing Adventures I used uv resistant marine top coat, but any top coat should do it just make sure top properly prepare each layer so they don't flake off bangger toy can use 90% alcohol spray to get ride of any oils that might be on the surface.
Cristian Haica thanks for watching and there's a couple of calculations you have to do which mainly consist of how much drag is placed on the total surface area of the lure when pulled through water(D=Cd*A*.5*r*V^2) and balance point of the lead against the weight of the blade but there's a cheater way of doing it which basically is as long as the rear hook hanger is 3/8 above the mid line of the lure (if you make a line from tip to tip ) then just eyes ball it. I just read it over and it sounds hella complicated my bad Brotatoechip if this helped awesome if not just let me know and I'll just make a video explaining it.
@@LucioYChristinasCookingShow Thank you ! What is Cd , r and V ? I think i get the picture in my head (a video would be great to make sure though) but what if your blade bait is small like 3 cm ?
To anyone who’s gonna melt led this way make sure your wearing a gas mask or doing it in a extremely ventilated area the last thing you wanna do is pass out working with molten metal

How do you know how much lead to use or what size to carve out of the plaster to make the mold?
Hi bud I have to say I am very impressed with your work and I am looking forward to having a try myself..all the best Peter

Very interesting, thanks for sharing! As many blade baits as I loose though it would be heartbreaking to loose after all that love put in.

Anybody else think the light on drill guns should be on the top instead of the bottom.. Sweet lures

hello, your hands are very good health, how can you stick the lead to the hair?
Another great video and you have all the fun toys for many videos to come
Vincent Foti thanks
So why not just glue to round cylinder magnets on each side then bondo around ok instead of special work to form the weights?

hi ...how did you calculated the point where the best action the lure will have ? I mean the two holes on the back ?
