We are loving generations. We’re currently doing the 5th grade pack. Can you do a review on the 6th grade reading track. We’ll be using it for next year but I haven’t found anything on it.

Do you find that the history curriculum is enough? Do you supplement with another history? I've been thinking about ordering but I don't know if it would fully replace our current curriculum due to the content.

I personally feel this history is sufficient without needing to supplement. We have done another World History curriculum previously which gave a general foundation but I really liked the way this focuses on a specific region from beginning to present day. The activity options on Friday would be a great way to provide more in depth research and study if desired. Hope that helps in your decision making! generations.idevaffiliate.com/56.html

Im looking into history and science books to read aloud as a family. Is the content in these books overtly reformed or calvinist? Im more of an independent Baptist. Not trying to start a fight, just looking for quality, Christ-centered material to read to my kids ❤ from the sample pages online, they look the best, versus a lot of watered-down christian curriculum out there.

This is a great question and I didn't even think to address that in the video. I will start by saying we as a family don't ascribe to Reformed Theology. The science is by far my favorite science curriculum that we have ever used! As our school year progressed I noticed that they would all listen to both grade levels of science that I was reading. I haven't picked up on anything that has pointed to Reformed or Calvinist beliefs. One of the things that I loved the most is that their science focuses on true science, things we can observe and investigate. As for history, it truly just chronicles how the message of Jesus spread in different areas. A big focus is given to the missionaries and the rulers. Hope that helps! And thanks for watching!

How are you liking the literature/reading ?

I like the Elementary Lit/Reading. The reading portion is Bible based and the workbook checks for understanding but at times could be a little much writing for my younger ones as we still have a separate language arts curriculum. Sometimes they would answer some questions verbally. Hope that helps!
