Thought it was pretty even until NCCU played Fantastic Voyage. I thought that was a mistake. IMO NCAT was better but it was close. Eagles really struggled when it was the mid to upper brasses turn to carry the tunes. NCAT has some upper brass and Eupho struggles. I liked NCATs arrangements and sound better.
Thank the auxiliary for performing choreography and not ripple routines during the battle. It made the bands look polish and complete. Plus that ripple effect is overused nowadays, it’s not even exciting anymore. IMO
Aggie Eagle Classic at nccu is always a different vibe . It’s like none other , being an alum from there 2017-2021 . It felt good going back to see both programs . Great content as always fam 🤝🏾🔥
Good Programs. I think both could see tremendous growth if they spent more time outside of the Carolinas. Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, have a tone of band kids with interest in your colleges, VSU, NF etc, but you'll have to show up in their town. Great job, but consider those future students.
I did not havw NCCU in the lead going into round 4 and definitely not tied after Fantastic Voyage. I've heard A&T better on Torture. The Tank song by NCCU was kinda mid to me
U crazy ass hell if you think that dirty Diana was a 5 lol. Trumpets could barely hear them . Sounded horrible . The second song same problem . NCCU had energy but most def didn’t sound that great
Something about the texture of these bands sound is very thin compared to SWAC bands the same size…. Even Norfolk has a thicker texture. What’s missing?
Nah, it's just that SWAC bands generally have a darker sound than other HBCU conferences. That is a result of the arrangement styles and instrumentation. NSU has leaned in that direction as well.
A&T🔥🔥🔥🔥 Golden Delight always slaying!
So glad to see NCCU continuing to make strides....give them 2-3 years with the current director! Eagle Pride!
A&T’s texture got thicker as the battle progressed. Maybe it was the way the first two or 3 songs were arranged.
good battle !
btw NCAT uses marching euphoniums

A&T recruits from those states all the time!
@Bobby-r3l Yeah plus they'll be at College Park, MD at the BOTB there coming up soon!!
React to Fmu vs Clark Atlanta

Fantastic Voyage would have been a down field tune for me. I like it though.
Yea. I wouldn't have played that in the 5th.

SWAC bands have a darker sound and much stronger upper brass. Sonic Boom and SU are tops this year.
@@Avery-Mac Don’t sleep on TxSU this year that would be a mistake.
@HBCUCULTUREChannel Agreed. I'd put them as 3rd this year. Still think JSU and SU are better. It's close though.
Neither of these bands sound thin.
Ncat has high school arrangements
No worst than NCCU 🤣 they play on a middle school level… 6th grade even down to the dancers

@@brienb796And This comment is for sure Delusional.
your arrangements are pre K then
