Yatoro is such a beast, you can watch literally any game of his and no matter how badly his team is losing, he's always causing havoc. I have seen him turn games around singlehandedly with his plays. He really understands the strategic aspect of the game, while everyone else seems to simply use pattern recognition. Yatoro must be a very smart dude.
They must be showing on the map and also avoid clicking multiple portraits - if the first one you clicked wasn't showing the creeps will get aggro cooldown.

Don't get me wrong, Yatoro IS a god, but this video is overanalyzing a simple fact of "enemies make mistakes, pro player capitalizes on it".
the whole point of the video is to show that if you are highly skilled, counters aren't a problem for you. Majority of the dota players don't understand this and blame external factors rather than looking within. If there was a low rank player instead of Yatoro, he would never take advantage of any of these things and would lose the lane. DOTA is literally about capitalizing on others mistake to gain advantage. If everyone played perfectly, the game would be a stalemate
@@PainDota if you wanted to show how high pts players play against counters, you should have uploaded a game where am gets run by the enemies non-stop. This game is a bad choice, because it was a free lane - often supports will leave you to 1v1 or 1v2 against the offlane and slardar destroys am 1v1 in any scenario possible.
Great content and gameplay interpretation, would like to opt for you coaching sessions not to just rank up but actually learn dota2 as I’ve been playing since 5-6 years now but haven’t learned yet how to itemize and carry the heros which I can play pretty well.
your 5 matters a lot. it doesnt have to have a nuke or disable but they help a lot. I was am with grimstroke and his w and e allowed to harass axe mana and kill the sup. Once i got the bfury regen item (dont know what the fk its called nowadays) the lane was pretty much won. oov is really good min 0 pickup with 2 tangoes and maybe even a salve if your sup doesnt go heavy on regen. You trade not only hp but mana and am excels at it. axe warlock is a pretty strong lane and after killing axe lvl 1 we went even for 5+ mins and eventually won by 8 mins. Had bfury at 9 mins or so.
He randomly blocked the wave because he thought that they will do the same. He even tried to pull the creeps away from the tower by clicking on the portrait. It's just wishful thinking and overanalyzing. He just last hits creeps well and didn't buy pt early, which is 'okay' decision against slardar (I guess), but still 'meh' as if they won't win the lane as they did slardar will just run at you and chase you even after the blink. At the end of the day it's just 5500 networth 11:30 game, a typical one I'd say. Yes, it's a good networth, no there is nothing special or magical about this particular match, just a regular game.
You could argue that but it's a very weak argument he most likely pulled the creeps away from the tower a bit so he can last hit them better. Notice how he didn't pull the enemy creeps too far, the creeps were still in the tower attack range. I'd say he did all these on purpose cos he know he would get an advantage against slar if he's 1 lvl above him and got a double wave against him too. Also, we all know the enemy could not block their creeps too cos we saw their positioning and they would not have made it in time to block their creeps.
its coz wen u aggro the enemy creeps, it stops attacking ur own creep wave making them have more life. so he wanted his wave to be as healthy as possible, and double wave slardar and out harass him
He didn't purposely get his creeps under his tower. It was an accident. He a clicked wr to try to pull creeps out of tower range, because he ran north farther than necessary if just trying to cs. He was trying to pull creeps out of tower range but it didn't work
@@kellybertei1582 It was never too late, he can re aggro after 2 seconds and salvage something from it by having at least 2 creeps not die to the tower
It’s plausible but I highly doubt it. After hundreds of carry games on the current map, it’s pretty much burned into your brain that you don’t block on Radiant. I highly doubt Yatoro would fuck up on something carry players know by heart at the very beginning of the game. Still though, I don’t have an answer as to why he aggroed. Maybe to get his own crees to walk slightly ahead? You can see after the first wave dies the 2nd wave meets right outside Slardar’s tower. If the creeps were slightly further ahead it would’ve been under Slard’s tower and the wave would bounce all the way back to him. MAYBE that’s what he tried doing, but who knows.
its coz wen u aggro the enemy creeps, it stops attacking ur own creep wave making them have more life. so he wanted his wave to be as healthy as possible, and double wave slardar and out harass him
Ngl, I don't get this concept of a "Hero X counters hero Y" (Slardar vs AM in this case), if all hero Y has to do is just 1-2 simple things and it's suddenly not a counter anymore. The manaless Slardar can never W now, thus his kill threat is gone, guess at most he can go even given the bash. When I think of a counter, especially a supposedly hard one, I'd see it more in the lines of say, Phoenix vs auto attackers, or Troll Warlord vs melee auto attackers, or Sven vs zoo heroes where it requires a monumental effort & diff in player skill to somehow overcome the sheer adv of one kit hard countering another.
The 1-2 "simple" things is what matters in higher-rank. Slardar still counters AM kit-wise, you can see how AM still plays defensive despite managing to kill Slardar in lane. The reason AM still got Fury in 11 mins is because Yatoro played it really really well he basically outplayed Slardar with that 1-2 simple moves. He's probably one of the most- if not the most discipline pro dota player currently.
It’s not just 1-2 simple things, Slardar is good vs AM at all stages in the game, it’s just Yatoro being the best carry in the world that equalized the lane. I guarantee you, 99% players executing this will have much worse results. Yatoro made that call to block the wave cause he saw Slardar being far away. What if Slardar played closer to the lane? What if Dire invaded the bottom bounty and the pos 4-5 lingered? Suddenly you have a whole different situation and the strat in this video just doesn’t work anymore. It’s up to you to come up with a solution, just like how Yatoro saw this opportunity and exploited it flawlessly.
Which hero guide would you like to see featuring Yatoro next? Anti-Mage or Phantom Lancer. Reply to this comment :3
A guide to either of these two will be awesome
Anti-Mage
Phantom lancer ❤
arc warden also please
Anti-Mage please.
Blocking his wave also gives him a trading advantage by having a double wave, which is very strong vs a melee like slar who wants to trade in the wave

Yeahhhh. I agree. I feel like his play is not only high-level mechanics, but also very super intelligently and strategically calculated.
Thanks for these videos man. Love the critical analysis and how good you are at explaining how the pieces fall together
This is exactly the kind of Yatoro analysis I craved! The comments are already buzzing with discussion. Thanks for sparking this awesome conversation!

This is beautiful content.
Keep at it, I hope to meet you on TI Main Stage some day.🎉
What a big brain play from the world’s best carry and thank you for explaining it to us in a clear and concise way!
Anyone catching him a-click WR portrait to aggro creeps so he can get the first last hit? 2:50 Unbelievable mechanics this dude has, mindblowing.
I have tried it several times but it wont work, is there a special option or trick for it to work?? I can use global aggro but not the portrait aggro.
