    I have super curly hair and I use this tool every three days or so, never wear my hair curly. It looks naturally straight after using this tool. It damages my hair much less than using a straightener or spending 45 minutes blow drying it. Because this only takes me 15 minutes or so, I spend a lot less time putting heat on my hair than I used to. My only tip is to get your hair to a half dried state before using it, I just leave it wrapped in a hair towel for ten min or so before using it. The final result will be a lot less frizzy and it takes so much less time than if you do it from totally wet to dry. I love it SO much!!

      Actually another tip: once I’m done with all of my hair, I flip my hair upside down and use this brush for all the hair on the top of my head, pulling from roots to ends but focusing on the roots. This way your roots are totally straight and it gives you way more volume on top. If you can see in this video, as you get closer to her roots you can still see waves left in her hair. This technique totally gets rid of any wave.

      Agreed! I leave it air dry until it's 70-80% dry and then I use the product at low-medium heat. This way I can avoid using high temperature. The only downside, since I have A LOT of hair, is that when I use low or medium heat I still get a lot of volume, which I don't really like. I would prefer the sleeker look that she has in the video, but I don't want to damage my hair too much using high heat.

      Grace Kirby ooo! i appreciate your comment! I gave up on leaving my hair curly but blow drying and also leaving it unwashed to extend the style is leaving my ends dry and my scalp in bad condition! i’ve been debating on getting one of these tools. it now i’m convinced! hope it’s as good as everyone says it is 🥺

    When I started using the Revlon, I had a short bob, and it worked very well on my short hair. Personally I would recommend it for short hair like that. I've been using it for over a year, and like it a lot. I do wish they would make it so you can vary the temperature as well as fan speed. The high setting is way too hot for my fine hair, so I use the low. It takes much longer to get my hair dry. My hair is slightly wavy it parts (mostly straight over all), but not enough to let it air dry without it being a frizz ball. I have to use it twice a week to blow dry my hair. So far my hair is stood up okay. Those are my impressions from a mostly straight, fine textured hair. I enjoy your videos very much!

  • @JoRae.gamble
    @JoRae.gamble 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I use mine weekly and so far no damage. I would make sure you don’t use it on soaking wet hair. I usually use a regular blow dryer for a few minutes and then the one step. I can usually dry my hair in 15 minutes and my hair is thick and very wavy.

    I bought this a year ago based off your review. I absolutely love it!!! I let my hair dry about halfway prior to using this. I notice it works much better when I let it naturally dry some first. I also flip my head upside-down at the end to really get good volume at the roots. I'd recommend this product 1000%. Thanks for the update girl!! Revlon should def be sponsoring you after all the videos you've done on this product. I also haven't had any issues with mine stopping to work.

    I bought it after your review and a lot of research on other medias. I love it,. My #1 hair tool. It’s been almost 10 months and my brush works as new. I used weekly and I also share it with my daughter. My hair is curly, from 1 to 5 (5 been super curly) mine is 3.5 and after a blow dry with the Revlon I just need a few touches of a flat iron and I’m ready to go. Tip... I always used on the lowest temperature to minimize the usual “damage” of hot toolss. I just wished Revlon add a variation of temperatures, that would be magnificent. Thank you for all your videos. Straight to the point, and good, important information in a short video.

    Hi there!I liked your video,I usually use this kind of tools,And is best to use it after you let your hair air-dry at least 70-80% then it takes you less to dry it and is not going to damage your hair so much,I was thinking to buy this brush from Revlon,but I want to use it two times per week,I think is gonna damage my hair☺️ thank you for your review ❤️

    Question: do you use it on high every time? Is there a Smokey or burning smell? I was recommended to use it on low to avoid the smokiness. I too, received this as a gift recently and I like using it.

      @hannahs5707 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I've read from a number of people that's just what happens when you have product on your hair- heat+water+product. My hair didn't smoke or smell burned but it seemed more like steam coming out. I have coarse afro hair btw and use it on high. I had no heat damage

    I bought this last year with birthday money, had to order it from Ulta bc it was out of stock everywhere. It works great but I've only used it a few times bc I did notice some hair breakage especially around the front sections.
    Just before quarantine I saw a TiGi brand one at Ross for under $40 and kicked myself a bit for not waiting for the hype to dye down before getting the Revlon one but mine still works and I plan on using it again soon.

    Do you think there would be less damage if I only use on cool setting, which seems to still work on my fine, thinner hair?

    I still havnt bought the revlon 1 step.
    I'm so scared of using heat on my hair.
    I have straight hair but I want it pin straight like when i was a teenager. I had sleek shiny hair.
    I dont style my hair.....I want to look put together when or if I go out. My hair has grown long again.
    I did the hair strand test where you take a strand of your hair and put in in a glass of clean water. If it floats your hair is healthyif it sinks its damaged. Mine is healthy and I like it to stay healthy and thick.
    I dont think my hair is as strong as yours....will it handle heat...mmm
    ITS not use to heat...lol
    Urgggg ! I love my hair and I just cant take the chance.
    I love watching your videos over n over again.

      This is literally my situation!! I have straight/wavy medium length hair and I'm growing it out for my wedding! I want it to be super healthy but also want to use to for a at home blow out for when I go out! I have seen soooo many reviews on this product... very GOOD and very BAD😫 I'm in such a dilemma!

      As a cosmetologist the cup of water trick is inaccurate. Everyone has different porosity and elasticity etc of their hair, which doesn’t always determine the health of hair. You can use heat, since you said you have straight hair, use a blow dryer on a low setting & don’t pass over it more than twice & ALWAYS use a heat protectant. Hope that helps.

      @@panicstation7 I did buy the Revlon and I love it.....I used it twice.....works amazingly well. I will use it again if I wanna look extra put together. I don't use too much heat. Only when necessary. But yes it's a good buy. Get one if u can

    The biggest difference between the Revlon and the Drybar one is that the Drybar one is more durable and more for professional settings. The Revlon may be affordable, but the Drybar one is made to last longer.

    Hi Julissa, LOVE your channel.
    I'm 57 years old with color treated shoulder length hair. I've been trying to reduce the number of times I was my hair between salon visits to keep the color fresh. So I shower with a shower cap. I got this hair dryer in mid December. With it I have found that I can go a week between washes using a good dry shampoo on the last day. When I use this dryer I always use a heat protector - Verb, Purology, Bumble and Bumble, Wow, Living Proof. I've timed it a couple of times and it takes me 12 minutes to dry my hair starting from just a good towel dry. I love the results I get. Do I really need to stop using this every week?

      Heat protection is an option for the leave-in function of beauty products. You can select no fragrance since it is custom.

    Wonderful video. And you’re so beautiful! I have some tendinitis with my arms. Is this heavy compared to a hair dryer? I have to take breaks using both a brush and a dryer. It seems great to not have to use both things.

      You will still need to take breaks but this should be a lot easier because you don't need to use both arms all the time. I have arm issues as well, I find this much easier!

    I used it 3 times, and the cord started shorting where it enters the bottom of the tool, you can tell because it shorts when you start turning it.

    Mine broke after 5 months of using it. It was really upsetting because I never dropped it or mistreated using it. It didn't overheat. It just stopped working. I got a new one that works MUCH better for me as I have curly hair from BedHead. The Revlon One step Dryer simply started getting loose at the bottom where you adjust the heat settings and slowly but surely wouldn't turn on. A few days after I tried turning it on and it wouldn't work, I tried turning it on again and it gave off a burning awful smell...... I don't think I will ever invest in this particular one step hair dryer again.... =/ fortunately different companies have been coming up with the same idea and better ones! I wish Revlon didn't disappoint but -- shrugs --
